The property is well located, the area is pretty quiet, close to supermarket and restaurants. The room was clean and comfy. The hotel is connected to an Italian restaurant called Ticino Swiss Italian restaurant, which is a good option.

When we were walking from our room to the elevator, we could see that the staff who were cleaning the other rooms weren’t wearing mask.

My husband & I stayed at the High Country Inn in Oct 2020. We were so pleased with the room we had: lovely view of the mountains, pretty larch tree outside our window, our room was very clean, the linens & towels were good quality, and there were 2 comfortable chairs (not the standard 1 comfortable chair, which is always a fight to see who gets it!). The staff were all so kind & welcoming: each one had a smile & a wish for us to have a great day. We were thankful that we could request a microwave when needed; a staff member brought 1 to our room. Having free underground parking was another appreciated plus to our stay, as was the warm fireplace at the entrance! The cost for a week was very reasonable.

I was apprehensive of traveling at this COVID-19 time, but found that there was little need to worry as everyone in the hotel followed the rules of masks & hand sanitizer
was available in the lobby. Downtown Banff felt very safe, with only 1 person noted to not be wearing a mask in defiance of the mandatory mask order. Hand sanitizer was everywhere you might need them.

Was at the High Country Inn for a conference. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The underground parking is pretty tight and stalls are narrow and only 6 feet of clearance. There is parking behind the building. The rooms are quite large with a nice sitting area and large balconies. The washroom is quite small and the sink is right there as you enter the room.

The pool is large and there are two hot tubs...however the chlorine is quite strong.

The hotel was able to recommend a caterer for our event which drove up from High River (2 hours away) to cater our suppers at a good cost. The meeting room was quite spacious and staff made sure our coffee supply was always stocked.

It is only a few minutes walk from the main part of main street which is nice for those afternoon breaks.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a hard time getting our room cleaned once. We have a dog and took her out for 3 hours in the morning and asked for our room to be cleaned at this time, the front desk staff Cameron said he would have someone clean it but when we returned this wasn’t done. I went back to the front to request it to be cleaned and my husband took our dog out again- I sat and waited for over 15minutes and no one came to clean it. When I went back to the front and talked to Cameron to request again about it being cleaned he gave me a ton of attitude and said they were busy and had a lot of rooms to clean- by this point it’s 1pm and still no progress to get clean towels or bedding. When I asked to speak to the manager he said they weren’t there and basically gave me the impression he had no desire to help anymore. I stood in the lobby for another 10 minutes and then saw the cleaning staff come by. Meanwhile I am 6 months pregnant waiting in the lobby while my husband is outside in very cold temperatures trying to occupy our dog while we wait.
This could have been handled much better, we weren’t asking for much, just some towels bedding and garbages changed.
We are truly disappointed in this hotel as we came here to enjoy a romantic baby moon before our little one arrives and felt like we were such a nuisance to the staff at the front desk for simply asking for a room changeover.
The other front desk staff have been lovely and it’s a shame that this young man Cameron lacks in the customer service department as he is the face of the hotel when management and the owners aren’t around. Please try better as this type of experience can really effect a guests stay in a negative way.
Other than that, the pool was great with the two small hot tubs and easy access from our room on the first floor. Great location to all major amenities, good price for what you get! Just need to work on the staff at the front and prioritizing customer satisfaction, we aren’t fussy people at all, so this was a bit of a shock, my first negative review.. but felt something had to be said.

We toured Banff this past June 2020, first trip after months at home. We had nothing to worry about. The hotel was sparkling clean and they took all the sanitary steps to protect staff and guests for COVID19. Hand sanitizers close to the elevators, glass protection in the reception, etc.
The only downside was that the AC was not working, but we managed to ignore it with an open balcony door facing the mountains.

Great location, balcony with chairs and view of the mountains, a table and chairs in room so we could eat a take-out meal. 10% discount at two excellent restaurants right next door, and free parking. (This is important as there is no free parking anywhere in the downtown area.) Friendly desk receptionist gave us good suggestions for nearby hiking. This was the nicest room we stayed in during a 9-night trip to Glacier National Park in Montana and Banff, Jasper, and Lake Louise in Canada, and it was also the cheapest! Wish we could have stayed there more than one night.

This is a great family owned inn that's been redecorated that offers affordable prices (it's Banff it can be pricy). The inn is a great base to have while you're visiting the sites or off on a hike. Located on the main street, it's got easy access, safe parking and short walk to the centre/shopping/restaurants. The pool is a treat after a hike. The beds are comfortable, sheets clean and ever important good water pressure. I've stayed at High Country about 2-3 times. So yes, stay - I have an will again.

The High Country Inn is a great place to stay in Banff without breaking the budget whilst still getting amazing views of the mountains and also getting extremely good service and amenities throughout. The staff were extremely helpful and willing to do anything to help you out. The location is along the main street in Banff with a 5-minute walk to all the shops and restaurants Banff has to offer. Will definitely be staying here again without a doubt

I had a great stay at the High Country Inn in September while in Banff. The rooms were spacious and clean, and I had a great balcony with a view of the mountains. My room came equipped with a microwave and mini fridge which was perfect for when we were waking up before anything was open for early morning hikes. It was in walking distance to anything downtown Banff and had free parking which Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

My only wish was that all staff had a mask on the whole time while working (in hallways, etc.) but I know the mask policy rules are different in Alberta than what I'm used to in Ontario!

We enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel. A mix-up at check-in was quickly resolved. We had a room at the back with a balcony looking out to Cascade Mt and Mt Norquay. The room was spacious with really comfy beds and pillows. The towels and toiletries were very nice. Good wifi. The room had a fridge and microwave. Housekeeping emptied the garbage and replaced towels (covid). The pool and two hot tubs were open - we used the hot tub. There was easy parking in the underground garage and we had no problem getting a spot. The hotel is on the edge of downtown Banff so it was easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. We would happily stay at this hotel again.
