Lovely views

Reviewed Sep 1, 2019
This is ideal for a large group wanting to stay together! We were in St Lucia for my daughters wedding and we all wanted to stay together! Robert, the owner, was very good to deal with and kept in communication with me regarding our stay and what we needed.
The villa is set quite high up so the views are lovely but the hill is quite a climb- we had elderly parents with us and it was really too much of a difficult walk!!
The aircon in one of the rooms didn’t work for the duration of the holiday- several engineers came out but it wasn’t sorted by the end of our stay- my daughter staying in that room found it unbearable in the extreme heat!!
The maid is amazing- really friendly and thorough every day, beds made, clean towels and cleaned throughout!

We required emergency accommodation for our family on Christnas day and Robert (host) went above and beyond to assist us. We called from one of their sea view villas on the hill but Robert redirected us to The Harbour villas, literally on the marina in Gros Ilet as a better option with young children. The villa was ground floor, spacious, clean and safe. The Harbour had security from 6pm to 6am every day and is well secured with fob access to large automated gates. Our villa also had a fully fitted kitchen, washing machine & dryer and state of the art air conditioning to keep us cool. The large terrace over looked the harbour/marina. Oh and can’t forget WiFi and Netflix on demand!
Location couldn’t have been better, the complex backs onto the High Street in Rodney Bay, with many restaurants, cafes, shops and supermarkets on your door step. The beach was only a 5minute walk from the high street.

Robert and his wife were very helpful, being just a few doors down in the same complex, they introduced us to their daughter who was the same age as our daughter. The girls played in the beautiful pool and came over to our villa to play some more. They gave us directions when needed and we’re simply great company.

Thank you for being such wonderful hosts and making our Christmas holiday!

A beautiful villa got spoilt by the construction of a monstroxity of a hotel directly in front of it. It is a real shame that there is nothing that can be done about this travesty. I can just imagine how the proprietor feels about hte situation.

Convenient location with a 5-minute walk to restaurants, groceries, shops, public transit yet still away from the hustle and bustle of the town. 15-minute walk to Reduit Beach or the marina. Easy access to taxis 5 mins away. Well-appointed kitchen. Shelley, the on-location housekeeper, was excellent providing service Mon, Tue, Thu, and Fri. Robert, the owner, was easily accessible and quick to address any deficiencies. Pool is small but very nice. There are a few neighbourhood dogs that were occasionally noisy. Also, this area is very quiet at night so though walking around is perfectly safe during the daytime I would advise you use a car/taxi after dark.

My spouse and daughter (adult) stayed at the Cleopatra Villa (The Harbour) from December 9 to 26, 2017. The location is convenient to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, bars and a short walk to Reduit Beach. We stayed in Unit 21 which is a stand alone Villa. We had the harbour steps away from the Villa so had great views of the sailboats, fish activity, nice breeze and beautiful evenings on the terrace. For the most part the Villa was good, but could use some upgrades, as well as ensuring burned out lights, the dishwasher and dryer were working prior to arrival. There is security at the Villa and the grounds were well maintained. The drive from the airport is anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 hrs depending on the time of day and traffic. Upon arrival Robert greeted us at the Villa and provided us with information on the condo, and area. We had rented a vehicle and it was dropped off the next day. We used the vehicle to tour around to Pigeon Island, Castries , Marigot Bay, Soufriere, Naked Fisherman and various other places. We booked a 9 am to 5 pm tour to go to Marigot Bay, Soufriere, tour to Volcano, Botanical gardens and waterfall through Robert. Our tour guide and driver was Andrew who was entertaining, friendly and provided lots of information about our tour and as well as information about the Island as he has been living on St. Lucia for sometime. We stopped at Hummingbird Resort and took a stroll to the beach. There is a Batik studio at the resort and we managed to purchase two Batik wall hangings. Our tour guide also took us to Rabot Estate Cacao, where we purchased Chocolates and great view of the Pitons. We arrived back at the Villa around 5 pm . At Marigot Bay there is a restaurant across the water that you can take a water taxi (no charge) if you wish to dine at Doolittles. We also went to Pigeon Island so I would recommend a visit and stop by for refreshments and food at Jambe du Bois, good food, vegetarian options. While in Rodney Bay, I checked out Feng Shui Spa, a short walk from our Villa. I visited the Spa on three occasions and had amazing massages from Niola. Prices were also very good in comparison to what I would pay in Canada for similar services. Reduit beach is within walking distance from our Villa, so its worth a visit. We had lunch at Spinnakers, which was okay. If anyone is looking for natural facial and body products, there is a store in the Mall at Rodney Bay called Caribbean Blue. These products are made in St Lucia and are quite nice, worth a visit. Big Chef restaurant and the Tapas are next door to the Villa, also good restaurants. We were disappointed at the Cap Maison restaurant, expensive, poor service and food not worth the price. Friday nights at Gros Islet, there is a street party, with entertainment, drinks, and food. We took the bus down to the event and a taxi back to the Villa. We enjoyed our visit to St. Lucia, our experiences, meeting friendly locals and relaxing evenings on the terrace at the Villa.
