My parents were lucky enough to be able to stay here for a short period.
They relate how helpful and friendly all the staff were, made them feel welcome and relaxed. The food was great and the rooms comfortable.

We booked for 3 weeks arriving 8th February when we got to the hotel we were approached by a lady who said our booking came in after she stopped taking bookings, therefore she had no room for us but she said she had a room we could use until the 11th and that I needed to contact my holiday provider whom I then emailed. The next day he told me he had spoke to reception and I was definitely on their system until 1st March and for me to confirm at reception. They confirmed that indeed I was. After that the lady that approached us either avoided us or when in the same vicinity she ignored us and didn't speak to us which I thought was very unprofessional considering all the unnecessary worry and stress she caused us. We were bed and breakfast and were not allowed to use the restaurant or bar during the day or night. That was for all inclusive only. When Americans or Canadians arrived extras appeared at breakfast. Such as fresh bananas and yoghurt, these quickly disappeared when they left.

We explained to you when you arrived that your booking came through after the stop sale was in place. Your holiday provider informed us that they would find another hotel for you to stay at as the issue was not our fault.
My very professional staff realized that you had been traveling for a long time and personal mobility could be an issue. We relocated some other guests in order to accommodate you (which is why you were in our system the next day). No staff members had any reason to avoid you because we solved the issue for you.
No guest was ever denied access to the restaurant or bar at any time. We had a large group staying with us but other guests regularly bought food and beverage at our facilities.
To accommodate the large group the meal services were buffet style. After the group left, meal services returned to the regular a la carte service.
We hope that after the clarity we provided, you would consider removing your review.

Look out for these thieves. I paid for my room twice! I booked and paid Hotelvalues.com $438 for a two night stay at the Sunbay Hotel on January 8th. When we showed up for our reservation on 2/16 I am told by the Hotel manager that they stopped their business with Hotelvalues in December so I had no room. They are full up! Even though I paid for the room on January 9th.
The hotel manager works out a deal to give us, our friends who had already checked in, and us, a suite with two double beds. We spit it for $294 each for two nights even though this was more than our friends had booked their room for. I sent Hotelvalues the proof that I had paid twice. So Hotelvalues gets told by the hotel that they applied the Hotelvalues monies to the room and we paid the difference. BS. Liars and thieves!
I later read that Hotelvalues is mostly a scam but the Sunbay Hotel kept the double payment.

We are sorry to hear that you were scammed by Hotelvalues. Unfortunately, you are not the first one. In the past, we took bookings from them in good faith and we were never paid. This is why we no longer accept bookings from them.
Our staff did everything they could to accommodate you because we understood how difficult it would be at that time of year to find a reasonably priced hotel room.
You may have paid for the room twice but we only received one payment. Sadly this is the nature of online scams.
We went through this situation at length with you when you were with us. Everyone said that they understood what happened and the position of the hotel.
Hotelvalues lied to you and stole your money but you post a review calling us liars and thieves.

Not far from the airport and on the way to the port. Itās an okay hotel, but could do with some modernisations. Staff friendly and helpful. Okay for a one or two night stay, but personally wouldnāt stay longer.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The food was fine and the bar happy to serve.
Most important, the beach was just a short 100 yard walk away. The main road and buses to take you anywhere was only a 5 min walk away.
