We had a most wonderful time here in Antigua village, our studio was fabulous, clean , colorful and great view of pool and sea. The staff were wonderful, thank you to Desiree and other reception staff and security teams. All very safe here, was a bit nervous as travelled with just my son without husband but felt very happy and safe. Lovely location next to most beautiful white sand beach, to die for! Also restaurants next to resort which we used alot. We will be back, cant wait

As my followers know, we're travelers and not just vacationers. This location is really not properly called a "resort" in our view because it has no restaurants, watersports or all the superfluous offerings of the all-inclusives, like the huge Sandals complex right next door. What it does offer, however, is simple comfort, cleanliness and a fantastic home base to explore this wonderful country. Upon arrival late Sunday afternoon we were met by friendly and accommodating staff, both front desk and security. Ushered to our studio, we found it bright, spacious (including kitchenette) and clean. It was housecleaned every day. The grounds are extremely well-tended and make for picture perfect aspects everywhere. There are beach chairs and tables on the small beach from which you can watch the magnificent sunsets in the evening. And that's the true beauty of this place: its site and situation. Dickenson and the near contiguous Runaway Bays are not just the longest beaches on the island, so conducive to walking, but they are situated well away from the frenetic St John's area but still close to several excellent restaurants (see my reviews of Bella Vita, Casa Roots, Ana's and Putter's Grill). Even better, it's the best point of departure to the rest of the island because you can largely avoid St John's traffic. Antigua is a wonderful destination for many other reasons and, for our money this resort for our stay was ideal.

Just returned from a week's stay at Antigua Village and we just loved it.
Condo 26S was the best located: 1st floor, overlooking the beach so the sound of the waves was constant sound track of the week. Breeze coming through the screened windows meant we never needed the A/C. It's nicely decorated with a large and very comfortable bed and some interesting artwork.
The kitchen was equipped and we could have had another couple or kids on the pull-out sofa bed.
Had loungers on our balcony, but could always get one under the brollies by the beach.
I took advantage of the complementary yoga class in the garden and the welcome drinks by the pool. It was a good way to chat to other guests, without being annoying.
The front desk couldn't have been more helpful with taxis, car hire and laundry queries.
Wish I'd taken binoculars to watch the seabirds, or the views in general.
All in all, a blissful week.
Worse thing: Sandals up the beach, but they do shut the noise down pretty early.

The location and the grounds are amazing! However, make sure you bring your own bath and beach towels! They did not have enough beach towels for everyone in our family and were very rude when we asked for additional ones or to switch them out. They also took our bath towels when cleaning and never gave us new ones. We rented through Antigua Village (not a a timeshare) and our unit was VERY bare. There were no blankets for the pull out couch (and never got one when we asked), no kitchen towels, no broom (very hard when you have kids and sand) and lacking other basic needs. We have not had the same experience with the staff as other people who have left reviews. No one has been helpful. Also parents.. bring your own beach toys!
Restaurants in walking distance are wonderful however not equipped for a large groups as dinner takes 3-4 hours.
Grocery store and other restaurants/beach bars are very close.
Overall, would not stay here again.

It is possible that towel supply was temporarily affected as during peak occupancy, often more towels are used per person and sometimes not recovered at all. We were given unit 44A. Beware.....this unit belongs in the 70's. Not as much as a spoon has been upgraded in this studio since 1970. We were so upset after getting to the fabulous Village resort to be presented with this shameful unit. Antigua Village is wonderful. Unfortunately we exchanged from our timeshare into RCI and the should be ashamed. Thanks to the fabulous staff at resort, they changed us out and we had last three nights in lovely unit. If you are going through RCI and are to get a studio, look for pictures and if its 44A get the pics verified. There is a chance this unit may be refaced in September. That is when all work is done on all units.
