There is just so much to say about the week we spent here. Starting with a cool lavender scented towel and drink upon arrival. The staff goes above and beyond expectations with attending to every single detail for you. Nicole never misses a beat for all the guests, with such graciousness and calm demeanor. The housekeeping staff never says no to a request. As does everyone at every restaurant and bar: to name a few Gavi, Tramaine , and Sheddy…but really every single person goes out of their way. The rooms are lovely, ours overlooked the ocean, which you could always hear. Twice daily service , robes, slippers , hair dryer and plenty of shampoo etc…There are several restaurants and bars and all have many choices so if you are doing all inclusive, you do not get bored (and I would recommend). In the mornings before bar service, someone brings around fruit skewers, and then late in the afternoon popsicles, just a nice touch. The pools and beach are kept very clean, as is all the seating , constantly being laundered. There is live music several times a week. The lobby is open and airy and lovely, and has its own wonderful bar. I would highly recommend the sunset cruise with Ethan and Rocky, truly a highlight of our week. Nicole also arranged a driver to take us into St John for a bit , as well as making us a dinner reservation at a local restaurant while we were there, and the driver was at the restaurant as we finished to bring us back. Even the security guard greets you with warmth and excitement. Lastly, there is a lovely spa. We enjoyed our massages immensely. For those more adventurous , there are sailboats, kayaks, nature walks, paddle boards, as well as in ocean trampoline and sunning spots. This is a great place to go to unwind, relax and be pampered. Highly recommend it! Thank you to all that made this a great week, Ellen Peruso

Blue Waters has built its reputation over many years and like all the ‘best’ experiences the difference is the people.

With 75% of the economy built on tourism, the government and education system have a strong focus on tourists and at Blue Water this is made very real.

From the owners through management, team leaders, supervisors and whether front of house or behind the scenes everyone is focussed on helping you to have a great vacation.

We could name at least a dozen of the employees who learned our names, room details, drinks preferences and daily routine. (Fear not – you feel valued not stalked!)

We won’t name them (you know who you are) because there would be another dozen who knew us where we failed to recall their names and because there are many more whom we didn’t meet who helped to make our holiday.

These include the cleaning staff, the maintenance crew, the man dabbing quick drying paint onto any areas needing attention on a daily basis. The gardeners and grounds staff who work year-round to keep the gardens healthy and safe. Oh, and the gardens looking amazing. The pool attendants. The chefs and cooks – the food is as good as you will eat anywhere in the world with lots of choice and variety.

Singles, couples and families with children of all ages are well looked after and the space and choice mean you can be as sociable or private as you choose.

Accommodation all appears to of a high standard and the choice is between a room with balcony near the main activity areas or a little further out in larger villa style accommodation.

As mentioned above food is exceptional with international and Caribbean options and a wide selection at all restaurants.

Beverages are available at both the pool bars during the day and the main bar in the evening. A wider selection of non-alcoholic options/cocktails on the drinks menu would be appreciated.

Plenty of entertainment and activities are available mostly at no extra cost.
Gym is cool and well equipped.

Gardens are stunning and grounds well kept. As are the indoor areas.

We only had one issue arise and that was solved swiftly and practically to our satisfaction.

It would be hard not to have an enjoyable holiday here.

I have just got home from 12 nights at this little piece of paradise. I feel very privileged to have managed to get away this year and of all my prebooked holidays this was the only one not cancelled or moved. The island is lovely and this little oasis was a great place to come. Obviously lots has had to change as they learn to live with Covid (like the rest of the world) but the staff are so super friendly and keen to do the right thing and so learn quickly.
The restaurants were rotating each night as the guest numbers increased and staff numbers grew but we were never short of choice and I have to say the food was incredible. None of us had a bad meal throughout our stay. The waiting staff were attentive and so lovely!
The bar staff were great wherever you were and with drinks delivered to my sun bed throughout the day, what’s not to love! We were a group of 9 but this never really challenged them.
We were lucky enough to be in the cove suites - huge rooms with loads of space and a patio leading straight out to our private pool area - if that wasn’t good enough there are another 3 pools you can wander to plus of course the white Sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. You can even cadge a lift on a golf buggy if you’re too hot to walk!
Occupancy started to go up as our trip went on but the hotel coped well and most importantly the staff were brilliant and wearing masks throughout the resort and on the whole so were the guests.
Towels provided for the beach and exchanged every day and all toiletries provided plus a never ending mini bar in the room which is topped up daily for free within the all inclusive package.
We also attended a rum tasting evenings and a wine tasting evening - both great fun!
Had the best time and will definitely be returning !

Having been to BlueWaters 5 years ago, we knew the hotel and had total confidence to travel during the difficult Covid restrictions. Easy & direct flights from the UK, very low instances of covid, solid in country controls and good security screening gave confidence to travel.
BlueWaters is outstanding on every level. Staff are long serving, very friendly and helpful and observed covid measures really well.
Food was of superb quality, good range of choices, very well prepared and service in all restaurants was excellent.
We stayed in a Cove Suite which was outstanding. Very spacious, situated in a quite location at one end of the resort, lovely sea views and pool just outside the room that was very relaxing, clean and beautifully situated.
Good choice of drinks and entertainment, outside trips to suit all needs and a lovely array of wildlife to observe above and below the water including turtles and reef fish.
Watersports team were excellent, lots to do including Hobbie Cats to sail and the team always on hand to help and advise. Excellent team !!
We will certainly return again, so tells you all you need to know.

We normally visit the Caribbean most years in late January/February, this year we visited Thailand in that slot and our other holidays had all been been cancelled. We decided upon Antigua as Blue Waters had been on our list for sometime and after talking to Lai at Kenwood Travel, we decided to book the Cove suites on an all inclusive basis.

Our transition through the Covid screening at the airport and arrival at Blue Waters all went smoothly, our suite was well appointed on the ground floor opening on to a private pool area for the six suites in the building. The beds are particularly comfortable. We were told the hotel was around 20% occupied at the start of our visit as they had only reopened two days before but this increased to around 50% during our stay, so no issue getting sun beds etc. There are several pool/beach areas, so finding a spot to suit was always possible.

Clearly a great effort had been taken to ensure all covid measures were adopted and we felt completely safe throughout our stay.

Dinner on the first night was at the Cove restaurant and then alternated with the Palm Restaurant thereafter, one night a week dinner was at Carolyn’s consisting of tapas. The clear favourite for us was the Cove Restaurant with the the choice and quality of the food both good. We did not feel the need to opt for any premium drinks, but did have the lobster tail and fillet steak on a number of occasions at a supplement of US$12 each .

All of the staff we encountered were excellent, friendly and easy to engage in conversation and always looking to resolve any issues as were the the managment.

The place has a relaxed atmosphere and we would certainly return again.

The WiFi is excellent throughout the resort including beach and pool areas. The gym is well equipped and in good order.

Our departure was equally smooth and journey home slightly unusual with only 31 passengers and 13 crew on a BA Boeing 777, which certainly helped social distancing……

We decided to take a holiday at very short notice and chose Antigua as categorised Green. Friends recommended Blue Waters and we were delighted with our choice.
Departure and arrival at the airports was not as difficult as we feared and we were checking in within 1 hour of the plane taxing to a halt.
Our room was tastefully furnished with all we required including a very well stocked and replenished mini bar included in our all inclusive plan. Anyone that does not take this needs their head testing. The food was fresh and extremely well cooked and presented. Water dispensers plentifully located around to replenish our hotel provided personal water containers, to cut down on plastic waste.
Beautiful tropical gardens and several swimming pools augmented the beaches, amply provided with loungers and beach umbrellas. Regrettably there seemed to be a lot of sea weed in the sea, outside the hotels control which spoilt sea bathing
The staff were all wonderful. Friendly and helpful, extremely well trained.
Difficult to find a fault and we have just booked a return visit in late April 2022

This is a great hotel in every sense. Stunning location, beautiful beaches and three swimming pools, plenty of areas for sun loungers (comfortable too), The dining experiences are fantastic, very good breakfasts ( al a carte) great coffee, at lunchtime choice of two restaurants both very good, in the evening usually three restaurants but during Covid just two. The Cove in particular has exceptional ambience, food and service. The three bars also deserve a mention, great cocktails and wine choices too. Throughout our stay we found all the staff to be incredibly friendly, efficient and helpful. Blue Waters can really be very proud of its staff. Particular mention goes to Nia, Debra, Jason and Sparkle. The rooms all seem to have a sea view, ours was particularly stunning could see the sea for miles. The room furnishing and bathrooms are to a high standard, very good size balcony with comfortable seating, Elemis products in bathroom . Overall would recommend this hotel highly, and hope to visit again.

We’ve stayed at Blue Waters in Antigua twice before and this, our third visit, was the best yet. Simply excellent. Didn’t want to come home.

First, the whole complex is very beautiful. The gardens are lush and manicured, and although you’re drawn to the Caribbean sea, sunset, beach, etc, I noticed the architecture and styling too. So often it’s left to get grotty round the edges, but this has taken on a new kind of swank without screaming refurb. The original charm remains, but everything feels a better quality than before. Small touches like the plantation shutters, thoughtful lighting, very comfy Lloyd Loom chairs and gorgeous bedding.

This really matters because if you are indoors on the odd occasion that it rains, you don’t mind. It’s honestly a very beautiful place to be indoors.

Secondly we were on the all inclusive which has improved a great deal since our last visit. The same extensive choice but better quality. Sunday lunch and the evening BBQ was especially good and lobster Thermidor at The Cove on our last night really quite special. I used to only eat lobster when visiting Bar Harbour, but this was fresh, flavoursome and had good texture.

Thirdly the staff are all very jolly and helpful. This is an important point because it wasn’t always the case. Everyone wants you to have a lovely day and they can’t do enough for you. The woman who did our housekeeping was singing to herself!

Finally since our last visit they’ve added the Spa and it’s grrrreat. Not cheap (but this is Antigua), but $120 for an hour long exfoliating massage left me floating and ready for the flight home. Celeste was superb and overall worth every penny.

They put on cabaret/dancing/wine tasting/bands, etc, in the evening, we went out in the speedboat and snorkelled (their reef isn’t as big but fish per square foot would rival Australia!), watched a wedding, spotted numerous interesting birds, made use of the golf buggy to nip about and found a few goodies in the shop.

All in all if you want to relax in subtle luxury this is the place. Not too blingy, ostentatious, in your face - just stylish, great service and attention to detail. Will definitely be back.

These are unprecedented times and the question, "to travel or not to travel" is a dilemma for probably all of us.
My partner and I are very fortunate in that pre Covid we would travel perhaps 5/6 times a year. In out travels we have visited many destinations in the world and have had some fantastic holidays staying in some great hotels. We do our homework first and thus recognise the influence of trip advisor, which we always use to "check out" a hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel.

Top of the list of good things is the staff, amazingly friendly, attentive and caring. And clearly proud of their hotel (and justifiably so).
Our room is lovely (deluxe sea view), it's a proper sea view, to the extent that I am typing this review in the room with the noise of the sea breaking on the beach some 10 metres away. Breathtakingly beautiful.
We are here on a 14 day all inclusive holiday arriving on 7th October 2020.
The food has been excellent, there has always been something on the changing menu that we would want. The 2 main restaurants do rotate and choice is from an a la carte menu. I think the Cove would be our favourite, the location of which and ambience inside would surpass many top London restaurants.
The food is to a very high standard and is presented beautifully with care and attention. Excellent wine is free flowing too.
Do not hesitate to stay here. We will definitely come back, albeit we still have 6 days to go!!
My final comment would be on the arrival at the airport.
The airport, immigration and health authorities have really though about how to manage the arrival of passengers during this pandemic. Very well organised, structured and calm. This immediately made you feel that Antigua was a safe place to visit . So well done!

Let me start by saying the grounds of this hotel are truly beautiful!! We enjoyed the beach, the pool, and the tropical flowers. But I think that is just it, that was the only thing we enjoyed. I really wanted to love this place and I was so excited to come here. After a year of lockdown, we decided to splurge on our first vacation, and we choose Blue Waters.

But after a 5 day stays at this hotel, I’m truly disappointed. This hotel is not luxurious as they claim to be it's more mediocre. The rooms are not really clean, the décor needs to be revamped, and the service we received from some of the staff was really bad.

I feel that they need to train all of their staff. The staff should treat everyone with respect no matter their race or background. My husband and I were frequently asked if we were guests staying here, and how long we are staying.
In addition to this, I also requested for aloe to be sent to the room, and I was given excuses about how the gardeners had left and they will send in the morning which never happened. When I went back the next day, I was told the same thing and I had to be firm with them and tell them I need it right away. I was also questioned as to why I needed aloe, why is that their business?? I would also receive an attitude from the staff for asking for a towel and that is completely unacceptable.

We did not have the all-inclusive plan for this hotel just breakfast, however, $100 a night for food is ridiculous, especially mediocre food. They had a BBQ night, and we were charged $133US for what??? And the BBQ was buffet style, our food was not served to us. There was no menu or prices, and it seems like they charge you whatever they want as we did not receive a breakdown of our bill or a receipt. The next night we just had pasta, no drinks, and were charged $96, it is just insane. We also felt pressure from the staff to buy alcoholic drinks and we do not drink!! I’m not sure if they’re trying to make up for the pandemic but that is not okay.

We also book an excursion with the hotel and were charged a commission fee after the fact. That was not told to us upfront. All the charges we had to pay were not upfront. During check out, they tried to tack on unnecessary charges.

At the price point of this hotel, we expected way more than what we received. My husband and I have stayed at plenty of hotels and never received the treatment we got here or paid the outrageous prices we paid for food here. And not once did the property manager check in with us to see how our stay was going. No one check-in with us to see how we were doing.

During check out the manager offered a discounted rate for a future stay if WE email him. Honestly, minimal effort and I will not be going back here.
It’s unfortunate because my friends and family were interested in this place and I could not allow them to go here.
