A jewell in Barcelona

This restaurant is a jewell. We visited for dinner (only serves dinner Thu-Sat) the rest of the time is much. Our waitress Olga was very nice and helpful, so much that I thought she was the owner. And the food was outstanding and very fresh and tasty. If you are in Barcelona take one evening to try it... make sure you make reservations

The real Catalan place

We have been here with another family and i I’m just sad we discovered this restaurant the last day of our vacation. Everything was very good: service , food , atmosphere… we chose dishes we already tested in the past from traditions but they were absolutely over the average. The real top was the meat : vaca añejadi txogitxu!!!! 850 gr of delicious

Booked this as it was near our hotel. Great authentic Catalonian restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and staff really good and friendly. Extensive menu, something for everyone. Food exceptional. Highly recommend

Busy and not very cooperating place.

Finally we had to go elsewhere. There is nothing much to say. There was place seemingly but the servants were not interested. Probably kitchen was closing - whatever. One should disregard this place without prior reservation

Well away from the Touristic paths this is a fantastic find, not only Architectural but Culinary as well. There is more choice than expected but you must love Meat! We don't mind it is just wanted something lighter that afternoon and we chose the Seabass, and gosh we received one 😊 Nearly 1kg peace of fish arrived, presented and taken back to the kitchen for the Chef to finish filleting it, we would like to have it as it was but we loved the attention to details, nice and not only tasty but, flavourful too! Probably we destroyed it by adding French fryes to it, but old habits die hard. Nevertheless, the Service was great, attentive and with good listening skills! 5***** well recommended

Excellent restaurant. Great service & food. First we sat at the bar and had a great meal & dessert. Owner (i think he was the owner) was talking to us & he was so welcoming to everyone. Overall a great experience & ambience.

Reading other people’s comments I end up wondering why we were unimpressed with this place. 3 of us with 3 different orders all commented that the food was overly oily and too salty. Wine list was average. The decor was reminiscent of a.Bavian beer Keller but that was fine. To be honest we won’t be going back.

Querido visitante, gracias por su tiempo y sentimos su impresión... a veces es dificil contentar gustos culinarios internacionales... pero lamentamos que no hubiese mas comunicacion ya que nuestro objetivo es que todo comensal, sea de la nacionalidad que sea entienda nuestro producto y podamos adaptarnos a sus gustos. Deseamos que futuros lectores sí nos den una segunda oportunidad. Hasta siempre.

Best Steak of Our Stay

We missed restaurants closer to the nearby Nota 79 music club at which we had reservations, came upon this place by chance, and were a little wary there were so few other diners. But it filled up steadily and joyously as we enjoyed the friendly, confident family service and a great meal: artichoke chips fried in olive oil and pan de coca (crispy flatbread), then grilled sea bass and grilled Entrecote de Ternera (Black Angus) -- the best piece of meat of our whole week in Barcelona. Great Sangria to help it all down. Sorry we had to rush away for our jazz performance but will certainly be back for desert -- after another great meal -- next time we visit.

Discovered this gem of a restaurant on leaving Park Guell situated opposite hospital on Ronda del General Mitre. The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived but the staff were very welcoming and the restaurant soon filled with locals. All the food we ordered was outstanding quality maybe on the expensive side but the quality of all the dishes was excellent . I will return to this restaurant when I next visit Barcelona . Excellent .

From the moment a server told us to wait 20 minutes for a nice table to the chupito offered at the end, we could not have had a better experience. The Service, Food and Wine were exemplary. We had FOi, Parillada and Lechazo! Perfect in every way. Even their Tomato Bread was elevated from the norm.

Came across this place at a very delicate part of my recent trip to Barcelona, after a major hike up to Parc Guell in temperatures pushing 35C. Walked in with intrepidation as no one was around aside from the waitress, Looked around and realised all the tables were booked (promising sign for a Tuesday lunchtime). Very warm welcome from the waitress and she managed to fit us in despite there being 6 very sweaty and agitated people. I have had some very good meals in Barcelona but this has to be the best one. The morcilla was by far the best I have tasted. Steak tartare should its ground as being the best I have ever tasted despite having it in loads of different places. Interesting selection of beers and wine as well. My kids loved it and even my mum loved it. I cannot recommend this place enough. Worth travelling to as its just around the corner from the Metro, Well done TA and my dad for finding it. By the time we left, nearly every table was full with loads of locals.
