Our B&B is in the center of Barcelona, in the heart of the Art Noveau district, steps away from Passeig the Gracia and its Gaudi Houses, also from la Sagrada Familia and most places of interest. We are in a beautiful Art Noveau building in a flat with high ceilings typical "Modernista". Our B&B is very warm as well as tastefuly decorated for your enjoyment.

Detailed Reviews
Myself, daughter and wife stayed 5 nights over Christmas. We really enjoyed ourselves at this beautiful bed and breakfast. We had a triple in the green room and it was very pleasant. Even though the room was on the street side, noise was never a problem. We slept better than we do at home! John was away but Kiku was a great host. He served a nice breakfast every morning and he would sit and chat with us and the other guests. He answered all of our questions and told some great stories. It was very comfortable around the breakfast table. The rest of the house is also very comfortable and impeccably decorated. My wife and I enjoyed a bottle of wine nightly in the living room while our daughter surfed the internet in the bedroom. There is also an inhouse computer available for guests. The location is great. It's an easy walk to several good restaurants. We really enjoyed El Glop. To get around beautiful Barcelona, the metro was less than a 5 minute walk away. The metro itself is one of the best we've used. Our longest wait for a train was 3 minutes and it was quite easy to get around the city. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Barcelona BB. P.S. It's ok Kiku if you have sugar in your coffee.

The BarcelonaBB is very well located - about 10 minutes walk to Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, outlet shops, Passeig de Gracia where luxurious brands are, and of course many metro stations. Hosts, Kiku and John, were very friendly and attentive and make you feel at home. The apartment itself is very cosy and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay with them and wished that we had stayed longer. They'd always make sure you have enough to eat and drink for breakfast so you have the energy to explore the city. Also, Kiku makes excellent recommendation for restaurants with different price ranges - I must say we put on some weight because of this! I'd highly recommend them to anyone who's visiting Barcelona. Only thing I'd mention is that make sure you get their address before you travel because they have no signs outside their building. Many thanks again, Kiku & John!

The location is fantastic - very central and close to everything. The apartment is large and light-filled. And our hosts were very helpful in suggesting local attractions, restaurants etc. Highly recommended.

Firstly- i don't think I've ever stayed anywhere and felt so welcome in someone else's house. I stayed in the chimney room- which is the only room in this apartment, hence no lock on the door etc- but seriously- no need to worry about that.
Each day I woke (last in the flat) to a breakfast laid out in the kitchen, and could hardly decide what to have- choice of juice, coffee, cereal, milk, yoghurt, fruit, pastries, jam etc etc. Being the only person there almost made it feel more special!
My only comment would be that the neighbours in the building are a little noisy, and there are no curtains in the chimney room- so unless you take earplugs and an eye mask- as lovely as the owners are, you won't sleep past 8am. Not meant as criticism- just info!! x

Stellar location, stellar room, stellar hosts. My wife, daughter, and I were all extremely happy with our stay at Barcelona BB. From the moment we booked around 3 months ahead until the time we checked out we were well taken care of by Kiku and John (and the rest of the staff). When we received the directions to the hotel by email it seemed like we might be on some sort of secret agent mission to find the place, but we just followed the directions and realized they were perfect. We were met there by Kiku who checked us in and gave us all sorts of useful information even though we had our 5 days pretty much planned out...it was the details he gave that really helped out.
We stayed in what I think is called the Master room, actually a suite, it is good for 3 people and has a private bathroom. It was perfect.
The breakfast was very good, and I liked the fact that all the guests sit at one big table and can chit-chat if desired...we met folks from other countries and it was quite interesting, but light conversation. And of course at least one of the hosts would be there as well, and we were glad for it.
We all thought the location was perfect for a nice walk to many of the sights around town, and if you needed the train it was close to a few different stations.
I don't know what else to say except I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would be extremely happy to stay there again.

Location is good – less than two minutes walk from Verdagua Metro station (one stop away from Sagrada Familia and one away from Diagonal whichis at the start of Passeig de Gracia). Our room (Yellow room) was facing the street which could get a bit noisy– the other rooms may be quieter (Wooden and Green rooms also face the street) (the curtains were able to block out the light though which wasgood). Great communication via email during the booking stages and we were given excellent directions to the B&B. We were met by Kiku on arrival and were shown our room whichis very spacious and warm, with lots of storage space. The bedis a little bit hard and being two singles put together made it somewhat uncomfortable. We shared the Blue bathroom with the Green Room– the bathroomis huge and the showeris great (we did not even see the other couple thus had the bathroom whenever we wanted it). Breakfastis between 9-11am in the cosy dining room–good choices from bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, croissants etc. and best of all Kiku was there to have a chat and offer tips (e.g. great tapas places nearby).Good wifi available in the rooms (a laptopis also available in the hallway). Towels provided. As we were previously informed, the rooms do not have locks on them (they can be locked from the inside), however we felt comfortable leaving our belongings in the room when we went out for the day (obviously don’t leave valuables if that makes you feel uncomfortable). Overall, a lovely stay in a quiet B & B in the L’Exaimple area– yet close enough to the main attractions by metro or bus. Our host was great– thank you Kiku.

This is a OK place to stay but nothing more. Nice interior (every room is different), clean place, free Wi-Fi. We were 3 people sharing a room that was just too little. It was very cold inside too because of the AC and no way to turn it off despite we asked it several times.
I was a bit disappointed about my staying.

Dear Guest, so sorry to hear that our B&B didn't meet your expectations, i felt right away just by greeting you that it would be like this! You never told me (kiku) about the AC! so please if you could drop me an email saying to whom you spoke several times about the AC we would very much appreciate it. Wooden room is one of our larger rooms and it has been rented as triple for over 15 years, first time we get is "too" small for three. May be next time you should consider spending a bit more of money to get different rooms if what you are looking for is to accommodate three people with plenty of space. Supplementary beds tend to be always in the middle but in the case of the Wooden room is very well organized in a corner. Also you don't mentioned we were accommodating enough to keep your luggage on departure day until late even when it was a bit of a problem for us because of arrangement of keys and schedule! even after we suggested to use a outsider "locker room because of the inconvenience was causing us. Next time we recommend that you reserve having done a bit more of research on the accommodation you are booking and not just based on price. We though appreciate your input on the free wifi, cleanliness and the nice interior. Pity you do not mention anything about the breakfast, reader, for sure, would have appreciate your constructive criticism. Best regards

Had a lovely Barcelona Trip and a great stay at BarcelonaBB December 20-30. Stayed in the White Room Suite – King bedroom facing street with balcony – sitting area with couch and desk – full bath. The place and the staff were wonderful and welcoming. Would gladly stay there again should I be in the city. About a 30 minute walk into the heart of the city, but only 4 blocks from Sagrada Familia and 4 blocks from Casa Batllo and Casa Mila. Be sure to go to breakfast every morning as this is really your only time to commune with other travelers and the staff for suggestions, recommendations and information. While the owners live in the building, there is no ‘manned’ reception area – so breakfast is your only opportunity to speak with others.

Having read the other reviews on here I had high expectations and they were not disappointed in anyway. My husband and I stayed in the Yellow room for a 4-night break. Jon, Kiki and Nieves are wonderful hosts, the room was clean and pretty, the breakfasts lovely and the apartment and beautiful and characterful. Eixample is a great district to stay in as well - perfect location.
What really made the difference were the fun conversations and recommendations from Jon and Kiki on where to eat/drink/visit. We enjoyed our 'gintonics' the the Primavera Cafe and it was lovely to bump into you both on our last night!
I am sure we will be back soon!

Barcelona is one of our favorite cities and I have stayed in many places there (I often worked in Barcelona in 1990s and 2000s) but I have never had a warmer welcome or had a more comfortable stay that at the BarcelonaBB. We arrived very early in the day but were welcomed to join Kiku and 3 of his guests for a late breakfast and early check-in. We learned more about Barcelona than I had known from my various, sometimes lengthy, stays in the city. By the end of our 2 night stay, I felt as if Kiku and John were old friends.
The rooms were comfortable, very nicely decorated, quiet and sparkling clean. We have already booked our next stay there and are looking forward to it.

We didn't have a car, so I don't know. But a car really wasn't needed either.
You can go to their website or through TripAdvisor and place the dates you wish to visit. Hope this helps.
If you anything refrigerated I’m sure if you ask Nieves, Telma or Aisha they would be more than happy to accommodate in the kitchen.
