I was in Granada and Cordoba for a week and this was one the highlights of the trip. You are served homestyle food with a lot of love and pride from the owner. I ordered the salmorejo con jamon and presa iberica (I wanted to order the rabo de toro but he insisted I get this pork dish). Even before I got the salmorejo, he gave me a complementary small plate of cheese and sausage to eat with the tino con limon that I was having. The salmorejo and secreto iberico were tasty and were accompanied by packaged bread. I was at Regadera the day before which served plates that were more refined and complex but I enjoyed the experience at El Paseo Iberico a lot more because of the hospitality and the authenticness of the food prepared by a Cordoban using his family recipes. At the end of the meal, he left me a short glass and an entire free bottle of Pedro Ximenez (he said to me this is how Cordobans finish this meal). I have been living in Spain for two years. This is one of my top food experiences. Central Cordoba, especially around the Mezquita-Cathedral, is full of tourist traps. This is not one of them. If you want to savor the local cuisine that is presented with genuine warmth at a reasonable price, then this is a top option.

My Spanish partner and I walked into this authentic restaurant after spending a few hours at the Mosque. All we can say is WOW! Top quality ingredients are best cooked simply. The owner of the restaurant was attentive, and gave us good recommendations on what to order. We had the fresh mushrooms on display, as well as the assortment of charcuterie to start. We ordered pork medallions as a main and the owner was kind to offer us a complimentary plate of delicious tomatoes in olive oil and salt. The owner didn't stop there, with giving us plates on the house. He gave us more chorizo to try after we told him how impressed we were with the food. We can't recommend this place enough!

My boyfriend and I stumbled into Paseo Iberico on a day trip to Cordoba for a quick lunch. Our quick lunch turned into the 2.5 hour highlight of our ten days in Spain. Argimiro was the most kind, welcoming host and provided incredible food cooked in a small kitchen right behind the bar. We had incredible fresh mushrooms, cheese, tomatoes, meat and complimentary after lunch drinks!

My wife and i had been recommended this restaurant but when we got there we wondered! There were only 4 tables, all vacant and it was 9 pm. The owner told me he was "completo" full but no one was there. We chatted a bit and suddenly a table was free. And then the place filled up! It was a short menu and the owner came to take our order. We let him choose, and what a result we got. He sent out 4 thick slices of jamon bellota the acorn fed ham. It was just so delicious. He then sent out a plate of cured ham on a base of cooked warm wild seta mushrooms. Delicious. He showed us some type of shellfish like a razor fish called longueirones. He cooked them a la plancha and we were absolutely surprised at how delicious these were. So tasty, a taste between a scallop and a razor fish. Finally, we were treated to iberian pork and scalloped potatoes. Delicious! We finished up with the only dessert in the house which was a local dessert , a type of apple pie with flaky pastry, and came with shots of pedro ximinez. The shots kept coming! Wife had 3 glasses of the local white from cordoba ,afrutado, with the meal and said it was delicious. I had a bottle of zero percent beer. Bill: 49.90 euro. We left a decent tip as we had a great night. It was just fantastic, what a buzz in the tiny taberna and the owner had such personality. Cannot wait to return. If in Cordoba do not miss this one: you may need to book!!

A seemingly tiny place with tons of hospitality from Argimiro! We went twice during our stay in Cordoba and were treated with PX at end of meal on both occasions! This is the place to go for Jamon and Iberico pork dishes in Cordoba. Make sure you try the mushrooms (setas) with Jamon dish, nothing like I had had before. We went with Solomillo a la plancha medallones, cooked just right and a sizeable portion for two people. Other dishes we tried and recommend are berenjenas fritas with syrup and Cana de lomo iberico.

Try this place if you like a laid back, local type food experience with good food. This place had some of the best small plates of any of the 12 places we tried in Cordoba. In general, the food scene in Cordoba is not as great as what we experienced in Granada. This place, however, was great. It is small and very basic inside, but that made it warm, cozy, and fun to us. The owner (assuming that was the older guy behind the bar who was doing everything) was pleasant and took great care of us. We tried a typical mixed plate of Iberican Ham (Surtido Iberico with ham, sausages etc) and that was the best we have had so far in Cordoba. Also the sauteed mushrooms (Cetas) were outstanding with deep roasted garlic (again the best we have had in Cordoba, and the salmorejo was right up there as the best we have had in Cordoba. We also enjoyed the heirloom tomatoes in olive oil with sea salt and roasted garlic pieces. All prices were very good as well.

Wonderful small restaurant run by the kindest man, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. We had the best Iberian ham we have had so far while in Spain. The Salmorejo was top notch and my son devoured the grilled lamb chops and was glad when Argimiro told him not to use the fork and knife but “en españa usamos las manos!” Just a great experience overall. If we had another night in Cordoba we would return to try more of his dishes.

Wish we would’ve stumbled upon this place sooner. Food was delicious, we had the ham and cheese platter, fried eggplant, lamb chops and cordoban pie— all of it was high quality, locally sourced and had an irreplaceable homemade taste to it. The owner couldn’t have been nicer, one of the friendliest people we’ve come across. Highly recommended.

Paseo Iberico is a fantastic small taberna that caters for all your needs! We wanted to go here from arriving in Cordoba and managed to secure a table on a Sunday afternoon. The owner (and chef) welcomed us like family and proceeded to explain the various specialities that they made. While the only language spoken here is Spanish, do not worry as everyone tries their best. We ordered some wine, ham and cheese to start with. All of which were lovely. However hour highlights were the grilled and fried mushrooms, the black tomatoes and the lamp chops. All beautiful and with delicious fresh bread. Service was fantastic and a number of large glasses of wine followed! Upon asking for the receipt we were presented with a number of bottles of liquor on the house and a slice of apple strudle! The food, wine, service and atmosphere make this place a must visit. You will be welcomed into the owner's family and experience true Spanish hospitality and cuisine. If in Córdoba again, we will definitely visit!

Fantastic evening with amazing food (quality and quantity) and hospitality at Paseo Iberico. Great selection of starter, fish and meat dishes available in Tapa, 1/2 and Full Racion portions rounded off with complimentary PX Montilla Moriles. The owner does a little bit of cooking, serving and chatting with guests ably supported by his friendly and helpful team of staff. Handily placed near the train and bus station if you are arriving into / leaving Cordoba or just a 15 minute walk from Plaza de las Tendillas in the centre. Well worth it!

Walked some considerable distance to find this restaurant is no longer open. Asking locally it has been taken over and looks like a cheap sports bar called El Alpinist

We stopped in to this small restaurant as it looked authentic and had some tripadvisor awards showing. It was a good choice the owner welcomes you and then cooked each dish we ordered, mushrooms and iberico ham was very tasty, followed by grilled octupus with the most tasty tomatoes we have eaten (black) The owner then kindly gave us a taste of the local sherry, which was excellent. Really enjoyed our lunch and what a great host.
