You have to cross the Roman Bridge in Cordoba to the less touristy part of the city to find this bar, serving drinks, tapas and light meals. We liked the half tiled walls, the light from the large windows and the fact that most of the customers appeared to be locals. Compared to other places, the drinks were incredibly good value for money - a full glass of Fino Sherry (local to Cordoba, not Jerez) was €1 and a glass of white wine was €2.25. We liked it so much, we decided to try some of the lunchtime snacks, like potato salad and fried anchovies. Good generous portions, and helpful staff (we have only basic Spanish).

I don’t agree with some of the reviews on here and should have paid more attention to the photos, which show , unfortunately, that the food served up is pretty basic , pre-prepared, or even out of a tin , very standard fare . Ok , it’s cheap, but you could probably equally go to a food bank . I could definitely do better myself, and without much effort . The service is friendly but I wasn’t looking for a mate, I wanted a bit of advice and a few explanations but all I got was a bit of false bonhomie .

This is proper Spanish tapas/ desayunos. Great service, lovely fresh food, a good, varied menu and a very friendly atmosphere. Superb value for money and a really nice location away from the touristy centre of town. Any time I'm in Cordoba, this would be at the top of the list.

We were visiting Cordoba and crossed the Roman Bridge when we saw the sign for the bar. Our group consisted of 3 Puerto Ricans and one gringo - all who speak perfect Spanish (me, the gringo and my wife live in Malaga!) . We ordered our first round and the bartender/waiter slammed the drinks down on the table next to my wife. We called him over to oder a second round - as he's was walking away, one of our party changed their mind and ordered an other beer - the bartender got mad, shouted "can't you get the order right the first time!" He then returned and again slammed the drinks on the table! At no time was any of our party anything but nice and polite!! We proceeded to leave as a booker walked in and was given the red carpet treatment!

Average bar. My beer was fine. My wife's wasn't cold enough. Service OK. I'd picked this one out on Streetmap before our visit to Cordoba, but we won't return on our next visit to the city.

An excellent restaurant, with superb service and fantastic ambience. Came here for a drink at the bar. A good central location near bridge. Highly recommended.

A great little find, off the usual tourist trail, just the other side of the Roman bridge. Good home-cooked and tasty food ( you just have to try the fresh cod with pisto Cordoves!) & the Oxtail, amongst others... and the portions are not small either - all staff with great sense of humour too

If we had done a bit more research we would have ordered what every other table was ordering (el flamenquin). Luckily we did order el salmorejo which was very nice and quite garlicky. The fried cod was also nice and the croquettes. I was not mad on the patatas bravas as they tomato sauce was ketchup.

We were staying in Cordoba for two days at a well known Hotel just around the corner from this fine establishment. Hotel breakfast cost 15 euros per person but we all decided we wanted something a little less expensive and more of a Spanish experience. This place certainly delivers that. Comfortable and welcoming environment. The staff are friendly and super efficient. The Tostados and coffee are so fresh and tasty we went back the very next day for more. Perfectly situated across the river from Cordoba making it the ideal calling in place for breakfast enroute from the hotel 🙂

We were recommended this place by our host. It was good value and clearly popular with locals, but I found the food quality underwhelming. Every dish came with chips (we might have ordered less fried food had we known), the churrasco and pinchitos were a bit overcooked and not very flavoursome. Service was brisk but friendly.

My partner and I stayed at a well-known hotel very near to this restaurant last week. The hotel buffet breakfast was fine, nothing special, and certainly not worth the €19 each they were charging for it. So on our second morning, we went looking for something different and found this place, and what a find it was!! Delicious fresh tostados, served with a selection of tomatoes and hams, or with butter and marmalades - we were recommended the tostado with tomato, oil and jamón iberico and it was DELICIOUS. The place is clearly really popular with locals, young and old, and I can see why - staff were friendly and efficient, food and drinks were good and delivered promptly, and the setting was nice and comfortable for breakfast. And to top it all off, two tostados, two orange juices, and two coffees came to the princely sum of... about €7!! It was all so good, we came back again the next morning, and surely there can be no better recommendation than that. Forget the overpriced buffet and follow the locals to Los Romilleros!

Pure theatre at any time of the day at this typical local Spanish restaurant/cafe/bar just outside the main city across the Roman Bridge. Stopped off here on a few occasions at different times of the day; for breakfast, a coffee, tapas and dinner after a disaster elsewhere. The staff here were all born with trays and cloths in their hands; they were created to be professional waiters, a profession they obviously enjoy and are very good at. Like so many similar establishments throughout Spain Los Romerillos serves as many things to many people but most of all it serves excellent food at sensible prices. Good quality meals reflecting the time of day served by wonderful waiters to mostly local patrons. Atmosphere abounds, well worth a visit. Not sure if they speak English here but I don' know that really matters.

Our hosts recommended us this place. What a fantastic recommendation! We had a selection of tasty tapas. The service was good but tge best bit was the atmosphere. It is a place lovated near the Roman bridge but you mainly see local people. The price is fair for the good quality of food.
