This restaurant is definitely off the beaten track. The menu is in Spanish only. No tourists, apart from us. We had difficulty scanning the QR code, so the waiter gave us his phone to check out the extensive menu. Service was excellent. The quality of the food is very good, down to the hot bread rolls. Cogollos (lettuce hearts) and Pimientos to start. Both delicious. Mains of fried fish and swordfish were great too. Washed down with Macetas of Cruzcampo. It was well worth the effort seeking this restaurant out. If you pass by when it is closed, don’t let the appearance put you off. Behind those grimy shutters there is an excellent restaurant and friendly people. We’ll definitely be back.

Recommended by both our landlady and TA it was our starting point on night one. It did not disappoint on any level. Friendly helpful staff are a great asset as is the interesting decor. Bullfighting may not be my choice of fun but it's all authentic photos and stuff gave the place a great ambience. Plenty of fino from the barrel lubricated a good meal. The oxtail croquettes are especially wonderful. A runny interior and a crisp outside. A technical triumph. Fried fish followed and then the lamb chops. All good fare and very reasonably priced. We returned for a lunch of crushed egg with wild asparagus. A local seasonal dellicasy, not quite to my taste but very interesting and well worth the experience. A bit out ot town but finding it is a reward.

This unassuming restaurant in the new-ish area of town provided us with an amazing evening of great food, great service and wonderful hospitality. Do not let appearances dissuade you from dining here. We ate so well. We enjoyed all our dishes - surprising our server by how many we ordered - and a wonderful bottle of wine. A truly perfect evening. Highly recommend.

Came because were nearby & saw reviews. The place feels very authentic and local. It isnt aimed at tourists - lots of local families. Didnt seem to be a menu in english, but waiter recommended some dishes. Started with fried aubergine with honey, big plate of food - plenty to share. I had the oxtail - excellent dish, cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Wife had the fired calamari. Very good and well cooked. Huge portion. Could have done with a salad to offset the amount of fried food. Reservations are needed really, we didnt have one and were squeezed onto a little side table. Well worth coming here. Much better than the tourist restaurants in city centre

Great restaurant away from the tourist area where the locals go, very friendly helpful service with a lot of patience helping our friends to translate the menu, we enjoyed all of our dishes and this is definitely one to return to if like us you want to experience a traditional spanish restaurant but i would say best to have some level of spanish as no english spoken or menus and if they were really busy their time for help would be limited.ps a nice touch was complimentary dessert wine.

We were recommended by a local to come here on our first night in Córdoba and it was just fantastic. The food was all freshly prepared and so tasty, the local wine delicious, and the service helpful and informal. There were many other customers enjoying the place too, family friends and other groups at tables outside. Definitely a super start to our stay - many thanks.

We dropped in for lunch and found a clean, popular venue, staffed by an attentive and polite team. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The food was delicious and I particulalry recommend the fried aubergine. It was very authentic and clearly well frequented by the local population, which is always a good sign. Please go - they will look after you!

We went for lunch with my family (13 people) and thoroughly enjoyed the food- The place was packed with local people (which is always a plus) and although it is not a quiet place we had a great time. We shared potato salad and croquettes (ham and ox tail) and then we ordered what is a must if you go to Cordoba: salmorejo, ox tail, flamenquin among others, all were delicious. Our waiter was good although entrees took a bit of time. Anyway, great local place with excellent food-

We’ve traveled 8 days in Spain and had our best meal so far at this local restaurant our B and B hostess recommended as where locals go. Alejandro, our server, was extremely patient with our poor command of Spanish. He went out of his way to please us. Taste of food exceptional. Easy to find with GPS. Highly recommend.

Having walked quite a distance from the Roman Bridge to visit this restaurant it was quite disappointing to find it shut on a Sunday evening, despite both TA and the restaurant itself showed that it should be open. Needless to say a grumpy wife and friends walked off leaving me dtaring at a shuttered and very closed restaurant. We went to Mercado Victoria instead. Grest meal there.

Good afternoon, we are very sorry to come to our house outside opening hours, the schedule that we currently have is as posted on the Tripadvisor page, the dinner service starts at 8:30 p.m., anyway. We apologize and would like to have the opportunity to attend another day, you will understand that your opinion is not fair because you can not value our cuisine and service, I invite you to remove the opinion until you can prove us, greetings.

Very nice and old tavern with very cozy atmosphere. The service is fast when it's not crowded, but the tavern will get very crowded towards the evening and then the service will of course be much slower. Service is though very good. The food itself is very basic, but very tasty.

I was born in Cordoba, but I live in Luzern, Switzerland. As spanish, i miss our rich food. So, I should recommend this place totally, because you will eat a flavoured, rich and traditional spanish food with the best price. When I go to my city home and I want to recover the meal when I was a kid I’m going to this place. Super price, super quality and super good service. So I hope that I can help you to find the best Spanish food over the town! Samuel.
