Stayed here in July of 2023. Had a great time the Hotel was very accommodating to whatever we needed. The staff was polite and helpful and happy to assist in anything we needed. The only con I would say is that the hotel is not near anything. You would have to taxi or Uber to get downtown or anywhere. We like to walk around the area but there was nothing next to the hotel. Also we used Uber because the taxi would take advantage of You unless you used pasos. Uber would let you use a CC. The hotel drinks were fine, food was great.

    Amazing and Beautiful!
The views were amazing! The sculptures throughout the boardwalk were beautiful and informative. We took so many pictures of the signs and the sculptures as well as the breathtaking views of the ocean! The shops were my favorite! So many different things to buy and look at. We ate lunch at Otto's and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend planning an afternoon or the whole day there!

    Great walk!
Enjoyable walking experience. The street market sellers are all over but are friendly and will leave you alone if you just say no. We watched the pole musicians who hang upside down and play music until their ropes touch the ground. Great time.

    Lovely wander
Lovely wide walkway. Lots of different sculptures to admire as well as the sea views. Various shops, cafes and restaurants too. At this time of year there was a huge display of temporary Day of the Dead sculptures, which possibly detracted from the normal feel of the area but was certainly interesting to see.

    Wonderful stroll down the ocean
we walked along the Malecon for about 2 hours. We stopped at all the sculptures, street artists, stone installations, beautiful views of the oceans, etc. We also went into all the various shops selling souvenirs and touristy stuff. Got a beer from one of the stores and strolled all the way to the pier and back to the main block. People watching, ocean waves, awesome pictures. Total touristy fun

We love it on the Malecon!
Everyone has their routines, ours is trips to the malecon! Regardless were we stay in PV, we make several trips in. Shopping, supper or just drinks and people watching, it has it all! We like to start at the far north end by the sheraton and make our was south. Make sure if you have time, make a day trip and a night trip! The night trip is my favorite because everything is lit up so nicely!

    Day Trip to the Malecon
I loved the Malecon! It's a boardwalk that you walk up and down and take in the sights. I didn't spend as much time here as I wanted to. But the local food vendors, art installations, and active art was cool! It was hot but the sunset on the beach is a must do. Seeing the sun set on the pier was nice.

    Great day out walking.
Many photo opportunities, great area, completely safe area to walk, many things to see, lots of stores and shops and restaurants and bars. Lots of street performers that are very entertaining. Several pharmacies and jewelry stores and tequila stores with free samples. People are friendly. Most places charge for bathroom usage along the malecon, be prepared. Not all washrooms are cleaned well or have toilet paper or paper towels or toilet seats.

    Friendly Hotel
I stayed at the Friendly Hotel in the hotel zone on the beach. The name Friendly really suits the way we treated there. It was an all inclusive resort and had five places to eat and great margaritas. Three swimming pools and three Jacuzzis. Great atmosphere and plenty of things to do. Including kayaking, paddle boarding and relaxing at the beach. Great location for walking to see the town, both on the beach and on the street. Almost right across the street was a really large mall with a market that had everything you needed. I will definitely go back to this resort again for more Friendly fun 😁

Nice tourist area, wild at night!
I remember this charming area before it built up and changed for general sightseers, cruise tourist traffic and people visiting PV for their first time. That said, still nice, great stores to shop in, but if you want silver or any jewelry l do not buy at the first store, look a bit as I do. Lots of price variations. Nice outdoor and open cafes but the prices to eat here are like back in the states. PV has gotten smart with the times as they should, but I remember the good old days. At night, it is very lit here with loud, crazy music, bands, disco, dancing, fireworks and cool, secret bars you never see in the daytime are wide open for fun and play! Use common sense like with anyplace, go with a group (more fun), watch your drink, money, your ride back to your hotel and have a blast all night long into the early morning.
