The Whitsunday Islands are a collection of 74 tropical mini-paradises, floating in peaceful waters that double as a marine park and are a gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Located on the southwestern side of the main island of Viti Levu, the Coral Coast has been a popular holiday destination for many years. It was one of the very first areas in Fiji to be developed for tourism. There's really nothing better than looking out at the ocean as the waves break on the reef. (On second thought, add a tropical drink to that picture.) Those looking to take in the natural beauty will find many opportunities for diving, fishing, golf and surfing.
