Each time we visit Sydney we always end up visiting the magnioficant Opera House.

Its a marvel of engineering and officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 20 October 1973.

Head to one of the bars beside The Opera House like Opera bar for some great views of harbour Bridge, Opera House and the constant stream of ferries arriving and departing.

If you are lucky there will also be a cruise ship in town, like when we visited.

Even though it was raining, I enjoyed a walk around the gardens. It is so lush and green in the cooler weather. I didn't like all the light things around for some evening show - it took away from the natural beauty. Always need gimmicks!

Even though I’ve lived in Australia my whole life I had never visited Sydney and had heard people rave about Sydney harbour. I didn’t think it would live up to its reputation but it was such a beautiful area and worth the trip. So many ways to experience whether on a sea ferry or walking around.

We enjoy spending time in Manly and especially Manly Beach. Whilst it is a great beach I put it behind Surfers Paradise. The sand isnt quite as crystal white as surfers.

What its better as is not quite as busy as surfers and doesnt have all those highrise apartments.

In some publications I have seen manly awarded one of the best beaches in Australia.

We were staying in Manly and enjoyed the ride to Circular Quay which was scenic quick and convenient. Great views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge when arriving into Circular Quay.

As a senior we only pay $2.70 for all day public transport in Sydney.

During Vivid its great to hop on a ferry and get great panaromaic views of Vivid.

You can walk across this for free and you should for great views of the CBD. There is even an elevator to get onto the bridge if you cannot handle the stairs. Once on the bridge, it is an easy walk.

Nice place to spend an Arvo. Lots of interesting things to see like the Nepalese pagoda. There was free live music playing on a Sunday Arvo and lots of restaurant options nearby

This is my second visit and the last was 6 years ago. Much have changed and I just love the majestic trees on the road side welcoming visitors to the park. I walked from Mount St and enjoyed every bit of the walk towards the park. Spent some time at the war memorial and remembering those fallen comrades during the Great War. I strolled all through the park and since it was a weekday not much visitors in the morning. Had a wonderful time seating around and taking in the fresh crisp air from the winter breeze. It took me almost 4 hours on that leisure walk around the beautiful park.

This is the most beautiful walk you’ll do in the eastern subs. I would highly recommend going on a blue sky day as it makes the colour of the water pop and you’ll just be in awe at the beauty. I’d also recommend taking your swimmers, budgies if you please, there are plenty of places to swim, Bronte sea pool is my favourite or head to Gordon’s bay or Clovelly if you want to snorkel! There are plenty of pit stops for coffee and lunch along the way, you’ll need them when the sun is out, because daymn it gets hot. All in all it takes approx 2 hours and is around 9km, definitely my favourite way to spend a beautiful day in Sydney! Ps. It’s very hilly and contains lots of steps, so watch your knees

The most beautiful place in Australia, if you ever have a chance to go you must. Should be on everyones bucket list in my opinion . Should be the face of our nation because of the cultural significance to Indigenous Australians, It's location in the heart of Australia's outback and the sheer beauty of it makes it for me the most iconic place in Australia. If you go, view the sunset at the sunset strip, complete the walk around and be respectful of the signs that ask for no photos and please try to visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre in order to learn more about Anangu Culture. If you are on holiday in Australia or live here, try make an attempt to see this cultural icon, Its geographical location makes it difficult for most if not all to make the trip, but trust me its worth the hassle!
