We only stayed 2 weeks after 6 weeks in a condo next to the highway. It was wonderfully quiet, clean and welcoming.
We definitely recommend this basic lodging for its location on the beach, helpful staff.and cleanliness
Be sure to try Maestranza across from the hotel for dinner!

There are cheaper rooms, with pools, but the best one is the larger building with beach front. Nicer pool. Bigger cleaner rooms.
The reception is often closed, so get all the info you need in first visit!
Check out Maestranza restaurant right on the hotel property, just steps from the little store and check in. Excellent ribs.

We booked this site unseen and were very happy with our choice. Hotel is clean, made service excellent, nice pool and beach area. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. If we come here next year we would definitely stay here again.

The rating on this hotel is a bit of a mixed bag of good and not so good, but if you want a small hotel with cooking facilities, on the beach at a reasonable price, this is the place. The 'bungalow' units are quite large and have two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen/dinning/living room with a small balcony overlooking the bay. However, this hotel has been around for quite a few years and is dated. We've stayed here a number of times over the past 15 years and it remains quite consistent in its appearance and service.

Family members have stayed here for a number of years and it seems that most of the other guests were long stay annual returnees. Most of the units I have seen were two bedroom/two bath apartments with kitchens and balconies. Basic, clean with pool right the beach on north end of town. More than one hotel, two or three buildings in all, believe each a little different. Not many children, mostly North American retirees. Really like it as staff were friendly, internet, laudromat and store across the street, it's very laid back and the price is definately right. Camerone man comes by daily.

It's a lovely spot on the beach of Bucerias. Walk out the door, past a pool, and you're there. The rooms are kept exceptionally clean, every day. It's an older building with some wear and tear. An old television only in Spanish--we watched soccer with the sound at 0. Excellent wi-fi: my wife and I watched Peter Mansbridge and The National on our laptop. The staff are very pleasant, but only the office staff and pool guy speak any English. We had to ask for the proper pans, toaster, coffee pot and wine bottle opener. All came, but weren't in the room when we got here. The beds, most pillows and couch are very hard. But we happily slept on the bed with memory foam (borrowed from a a frequent visitor). We judge the place to be great for our four grand-children...so long as we have access to a foamy.

Quiet, modest hotel with daily service, small store and right on the beach with a heated pool and sitting area. Loved it for $75/night. 10 min walk to restaurants, quaint and clean.
Plan on returning again this winter.

We booked a two bedroom unit that was supposed to open onto a pool area for around $700 for the week. When we arrived we were shown a unit across the street from reception which was dark and dreary, did not have access to THE pool and was across the street from the main building. The receptionist told us that if we wanted a better unit it would cost close to a thousand dollars for the week. We later learned that there were one bedroom suites which opened onto a smaller pool that were not ocean view but that is not what we reserved through booking.com. The ad on booking.com clearly stated "Two bedroom suite with pool access to the swimming pool at a cost of $658. There was no such suite - false advertising or bait and switch. The hotel has a number of locations both across the street from the main building and a few doors over that we were told are hotel suites. There were NO two bedroom suites with access to the swimming pool for $658.
Once settled we were reasonably pleased with the unit although the kitchen was poorly equipped eg,the fridge was missing several shelves. Otherwise it had a wonderful view of the ocean and the pool was heated. Housekeeping staff were excellent. The location facing and directly on the ocean was excellent.

I’m baffled every time we stay here that the place is not packed. Cannot get much closer to the beach. The rooms are basic and the beds are hard but for the location and price, who cares. We just returned from our 6th stay here

Corona has potential to be a very nice beach front hotel, but lack of upkeep and minimal services is disappointing. There was no drinking water provided, no cups in the bathroom, no cushion covers on the couch the first night, no shampoo, no hair dryer, intermittent wifi, and no hot water at times. I had to go to a nearby store to get plastic cups and water. I would not recommend staying here for more than a night or two.

"Should phone ahead and make sure that the suite faces the ocean and has access to the large heated pool. Check the price for the unit you want especially if it is two bedroom suite. There are no one bedroom suites that face the ocean and/or have access to the main heated pool."
