Corita is right on the beach, but not the best stretch in Bucerias, just average. It's about 10 minutes walk from the restaurants and central Bucerias. A lot more could have been done with rooms themselves, but the management chose to furnish them very austerely and with below-average quality small beds. Perhaps if you get a suite, it is better, but regular rooms are nothing to write home about.
Our room was clean, the a/c and tv worked. The location was on the beach and close to some nice restaurants and shops. There was a group of 15 men drinking and partying by the pool, that became quite loud. There are no phones in the room to contact the front desk or anyone else. The curtain did not cover the window completely. We tried to watch Netflix but it took 3 hours or more to watch a 2 hour movie. The internet connection is extremely slow.The pool needed cleaning. No coffee maker provided, no drinking glasses, no face cloths.We would not stay here again.
My partner and I booked Hotel Corita for 3 weeks. The setting is beautiful, on the beach and a short walking distance to restaurants and shoppes (10 - 20 min.)
We quickly realized we wanted a kitchen as there were no small appliances ( bar fridge, coffee maker/kettle.) We asked about switching to a suite and moved over after the first weekend. The staff are always available and helpful. Laundry service, corner store and friendly faces, made this experience delightful.
The suite was a two bedroom, (one king and 2 singles in the other), 2 bathrooms, living room open to the kitchen. A small balcony overlooked the pool and out to the beach.
We met lots of great people who have been coming here for many years. It is a homey atmosphere. We enjoyed the quiet area and were easily in the middle of an active community within walking distance or a very short taxi ride.
Swimming at the pool or in the ocean was very enjoyable. The pool at the suites is heated, hotel side is not.
The only improvements we would recommend are better wifi (although I understand this is not uncommon in Mexico), and upgrading kitchen pots and pans.
It is not fancy , but is well priced for clean, safe and beautiful surroundings. We will go back and could easily stay longer. Falling asleep to the crashing waves each night was addicting!
Owner Francisco and family make this place special. Sister and brother-in-law operate the restaurant and puts out a great meal. Helpful and interested in each guest that stays here year after year. Highly recommend but plan a year in advance if you want to stay!
I was visiting to see a dentist and was so pleased that I was within walking distance and at a beach-side location. The rooms were simple but clean, the bed a bit hard, but overall it was a really lovely place to stay for a few nights.
