Best value Play and Stay Golf in Manitoba . Course is well maintained , cabins are clean , staff are welcoming and helpful . Have to try the 19th hole !! A must experience if you live and golf in Manitoba . out gtoup of 8-12 have been attending twice a year for the last 5 years and have not been disappointed . A BBQ at the Resort cabins (BBQ provided) after a round of golf is the perfect way to enjoy the lake and surroundings .

Went to buffalo point for a family trip. Golfed two rounds. The girl at the front desk was very rude and short. Service was bad. It's too bad they continue to let such a poor attitude and rudeness be the front line of your resort. Where is the customer service now a days? Cabins were nice and clean and the golf course was in excellent shape.

Very clean cottage. Could use bigger fridge and more comfortable furniture.
The BBQ was filthy and the starter didn’t work, so don’t count on using it as a source for food. Scenery is Beautuful. Shortage of places to eat out. No chip truck as advertised.

The course was super nice, great greens and fairway.

We were promised that we could order PPV for the UFC fights and we could not. We paid full price accommodations for literally nothing but a bed, not even sheets or towels. We were told there will be wifi, but there wasn’t and when we went to the front desk they said the ‘covid’ cabins wifi got shutdown, what kind of professionalism is that? We were told Disc golf would be open, it wasn’t. Also breakfast was not open at 9am on Sunday after being told it would be.

TERRIBLE customer service, noone cared to help. We would not of travelled 8hours if they were honest with any of the above.

Booked a pet friendly cabin in March for July. 4 nights
Upon arrival it was evident that the area had been affected by flooding. There was no longer a sandy beach, just huge dikes to stop the water. Okay, nature happens, but let us know before we arrive.
No fire pit or picnic table, as a large group that had rented 2 cabins took ours.
The staff at the store had no clue about anything to do with the cabins,( this is where you report and pay though) A lady whom I assumed was a owner, said she would take care of it, and took off in her truck. We were told that they wanted to keep using the items, so we couldn't have them. Her and her husband pulled up with a sawed off oil drum and threw it in front of our deck.
In the cabins on both sides there were no less than 4 and at sometimes half a dozen cars full of people. There is a rule that 4 people can stay in per cabin. This meant NO peace for us
Apparently due to Covid times....there was no room service. That meant 1 roll of paper toilet paper, and 2 packages of coffee for a 4 day stay. No clean towels. The smoke detector was pulled from the ceiling and sitting on the coffee table.
The futon in the living room had dirty pet paw prints and dog hair. I asked for a blanket to cover it. The owner at the store seemed pissed off, but never sent anyone to clean it.
The second morning there, we awoke to find a bag of dog sh**
on our steps. Told the owners at the store, and they basically said, Oh
Dear!
The marina was also flooded, and we were charged 20$ to park our boat, and 14$ to launch our boat. Each day. You'd think that would be included with the 1000$ we paid to rent their cabin
We finally left, 1 day early ( they had charged our card the full amount before we even got there). No refund offered. We honestly couldn't wait to leave!!!!
Oh yes, and the garbage bin in the waterfront, by the dike, was overflowing and disgusting the whole time we were there!
We've stayed a lot of places, and put up with some " not so comfy" accomodations, but this was horrible, dirty, and waste of our holiday time

First off I want to say I contacted the resort about my concerns and never heard back so hopefully this will save someone else the trip. We booked for a four night camping trip with friends. We were charged the full amount with the reservation. There are no pictures of the campground or of the sites on their website which there is a reason. It’s like camping in a sand parking lot. We weren’t able to put our slide outs out without touching our neighbours on one side and the other side our awning would of touched our neighbours! We went back to the marina to let them know our concerns and once there realized that they had charged my husband for camping and also had charged when we reserved. They were so disorganized and not very apologetic about that. When we asked for a refund for ourselves and our friends that were arriving the day after, they refused. There is no wifi at the sites and your phone thinks you are in the US so you get charged roaming fees. There is absolutely nothing to get me back there for and the lack of caring by the staff is unbelievable. Save yourself the trip - find somewhere where they care about their guests and you have room to at least stretch your legs.

We booked a bachelor party golf weekend here over a year in advance with multiple people flying in from another Province. They called me with 3 days notice to tell me they’re cancelling both cabins I had reserved. There was flooding which I understand but to tell me 3 days before when everything is already in place and flights are booked. They didn’t offer to move us to another cabin or compensate us. Their customer service was awful to deal with and I will make sure to let everyone know my experience and not to waste their money here.

We took a family trip to Buffalo Point Resort in September to spend time together and enjoy some quiet time as a family. We had 2 cabins and one trailer. The cabins were lake views and just beautiful in the evening with the sunset. They were big inside with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room and eat-in kitchen. There was also a large sunroom with table and chairs. Outside was a large balcony with BBQ and 2 propane tanks. Also, we each had a fire pit and picnic table. A short walk and we were at the lake. The wild life and walking trails added to our great holiday. We will all be coming back again and again. It is a short drive, about 2 and a half hour drive from Winnipeg on Highway 12. Such a great place to go and have fun. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the restaurant is great with such good and very large servings of an array of food.We ate at the Fire and Water Bistro. Try the Chicken Asparagus Pasta if you do go there.

We originally booked a lakefront cabin but we're told because of flooding they had to cancel. We asked for a Lakeview cabin which was more of a dike view. The cabin was ok, dated. We were up at the crack of dawn as there were no blinds or curtains on the bedroom windows. The cushions on the kitchen chairs were filthy and the freezer in the bar fridge did not work. Also, no wifi and I could not use my phone as my provider thought I was in the US. Unless you golf there's not much to do there. No groomed walking trails and the black flies were horrible! They charged my credit card before we arrived and we realized they over charged us for the original cabin we booked so we needed to sort that out. No Chip truck and tourism office has been closed for years apparently. Too much money for what you get there, amenities were poor.

We stayed in a lakefornt cabin in July 3rd and 4th of 2024. We were charged $339 per night. We felt ripped off at the end of our stay. I don't know how other cabins are but ours was dirty and dated. Bugs were terrible! Mosquitos, black flies and fish flies everywhere. There's only one A.C unit in the cabin and it's located in the livingroom, so no AC in bedrooms. So bring a fan. Sofa was old and dirty. I had to use a bedsheet to cover it to sit down and watch T.V. Kitchen chairs are also dirty that feel sticky and smell. There's nothing to do except play golf. The beach is not well kept. The only nice places were the Museum and Restaurant. Staff was friendly but they really need to upgrade the cabins. We will not come back, that's for sure.

"We stayed in mainly the lake view and lake front cottages. The lake view cottages have a lot of space and all cottages are a good value."
