The Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville-Downtown receives accolades for its prime location, with guests loving its closeness to Nashville's Broadway and various attractions. Cleanliness is another high point, with many visitors commending spotless rooms. However, opinions on the hotel's atmosphere and room maintenance vary, as some guests report wear and tattered furnishings, alongside stale smells and broken fixtures. While the staff's efficiency is sometimes praised, accounts of rudeness and disorganization suggest service quality is inconsistent. Additionally, concerns over value are noted, with high parking costs and some service issues detracting from the experience.

This is a really well run Hampton Inn! It’s as clean as I’ve seen and the staff is great. The desk followed up to make sure everything was good a few times. Also, the location is perfect for a short walk to Broadway and the music scene as well as the Country Music Hall of Fame. I’d definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Parking at the hotel is $45 a night. But all in cost is similar everywhere in the area

Very spacious 1 bedroom suite (950 sq. ft I believe the website said). Wet bar in the dining area and a Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave were easy to get to and use. Because of the size of the room, the two TVs and the balcony we were really able to relax. The $39/night parking fee is excessive though, this is a Hampton Inn in Nashville, not the Royal Sonesta on Bourbon street. No valets. Only a few light breakfast items offered. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Three of us stayed here for some fun in Nashville. Great location, spacious room and a great variety at breakfast-eggs, biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles, boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, grits , oatmeal, danish and much more. In the afternoon, they put out some food we had potatoes soup, cheese and crackers and chili dogs.

Great modern interior and good service also.

I recommend this hotel

Liked · The location was great and easily walkable to the main downtown attractions, yet far enough removed to be quiet. The beds were comfortable. A kind gentleman working in the lobby noticed we were lost and pointed my husband and I in the direction of Bakersfield (a nearby restaurant/bar), which had wonderful appetizers and drinks.

Disliked · I rarely ever leave a bad review but this Hampton disappointed me on numerous levels. Upon check in the desk clerk had the nightly charge at about $100 more than we expected to pay. He had already assigned us a room and had keys layed out with our 6th floor room clearly marked. When I mentioned that the room rate was incorrect and not what I was expecting he had no idea that our reservation was even booked through Booking.com. He fixed the rate error but then assigned us a new room on the 2nd floor. For a hotel that went through the effort to add stickers claiming that the room had been sanitized, our room was gross. There was a tissue and a pill wrapper in the bathroom trash from the previous guest as well as easily cleaned up makeup all over the side table next to the sofa. The "desk lamp" was non existent, but the base was there with exposed wires hanging out of the top. We aren't sure what was smeared and dripped down the ottomans but were afraid to touch it. The business center had 2 computers. One was unplugged and inoperable. The other was unable to get online and gave error messages. When I asked at the front desk about it, I was told that they were aware and could print boarding passes or tickets for me, which was kind of them, but I was hoping to log in to complete some work that didn't require printing. Upon checkout, we were told that the valet employee was unable to bring our car down from the garage because he hadn't shown up to work and we'd have to go get it ourselves. Not a huge issue, just inconvenient and at $39 a night to park, I'd think they would have more than 1 valet employee working on the weekend.

Over the years, I’ve used Hampton Inns as my “go to” hotel for travel and I’ve stayed in this chain on the east coast from Florida to Virginia and as far west as New Orleans and Chicago. I’d always been impressed with the cleanliness of these hotels, the high quality of service and the value.

Aside from the location which is central to the touristy Broadway, I really can’t recommend this hotel. First, upon check in, we were informed that the hotel did not offer maid service during our stay. COVID policy, we were told, that wouldn’t be a big problem for us since we’re reasonably neat, can make a bed and we’re only staying two nights, but had we stayed longer, we’d have run out of consumables like toilet paper and soap and the linens would have grown stale. But in a time when cleanliness seems especially important, the lack of regular upkeep of the rooms left ours dirty. After a long day of sightseeing, we returned home and kicked off our shoes. But when we stepped into the shower to clean up for dinner, we left black footsteps. The dirt was from our room’s floor, which was absolutely disgusting, I assume that by not vacuuming the room daily, the grime brought on by those staying in the room built up and was too much for the infrequent cleaning called for by the new “policy.”

We also learned that upkeep is lacking in this place. Since we were on a lengthy road trip, we needed to do laundry and, on our first night, decided to make use of the guest laundry facility. As it turns out, our laundry night was extended because one of the dryers didn’t work properly. Apparently the drum didn’t rotate and after a cycle, we had to move our still wet laundry to the other dryer to finish the job in about 20 minutes. The next morning , we learned that this problem wasn’t limited to the laundry. As I tried to toast a bagel, another guest told me that I had to hold the lever down to keep the toaster heating and my bagel “in position.” It turns out that the other toaster works fine. So, one trick of staying at this hotel is knowing which of two appliances is actually working properly.

The desk staff tried hard to provide good service. But they are often overwhelmed, as happened one afternoon when a line of six incoming guests lined up and just one desk attendant was on duty. He also had to handle guests needed ping change or buying refreshments from the convenience store,

Nashville has a lot of hotels. I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Decided to stay at this Hampton Inn due to its close proximity to the music district and other attractions. The location did not disappoint! The hotel appeared to have been recently renovated and had a very spacious lobby with bar. Breakfast buffet and the staff that attended to it were both excellent! There is a lot of construction going on very close to the hotel, so that is something to factor in if you are a light sleeper. Valet staff deserves to be recognized as well for their efforts with parking cars and also storing luggage for early arriving guests. I did not have a car to park, but did notice that parking has a daily rate of $45 which is high by most standards. The room itself is also more expensive than most Hampton Inns in similar sized cities, but I believe thats because the city had a steep bed/lodging tax for its visitors.

Another quality Hampton/Hilton hotel. We would recommend, if you like to be downtown. We normally stay "up the hill" from Broadway, but our usual hotels were booked. We wanted to stay in the Hilton family of hotels, so we chose Hampton. We read good reviews and the location was a block away from the Shermerhorn Symphony Center, where we were going to see Foreigner. The front desk staff, the cleaning crew and the kitchen and valet staffs were all fantastic and helpful. The two ladies at the front desk were cordial and made us smile. The king rooms were spacious and we loved the patio, even though it was too cold and windy to enjoy. The ONLY thing we didn't like (hence, the 4/5 rating) was the constant sound of sirens traveling the Korean Veterans Street our room faced. Fire Station a few blocks away, we were told. Even with the heat craned up and our own floor fan blasting at high speed, sirens disturbed our sleep many times each of the 2 nights we stayed. Other than that, good clean rooms, great service, good food/snacks and an enjoyable stay. Next time, we'll ask for a room that doesn't face a busy street.

Took our first trip to Nashville and picked to stay here due to the location. The location was really good with a short walk to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Broadway. The hotel had a lot of room for improvement. Checked in at 3:30-3:40 and my room still wasn’t ready, had to be switched to another room. The lady was wearing her mask halfway and said “here is your key, parking is valet only and yeah that’s about it”. Valet is $39/day which is high but still about the same for all other hotels in the area. The hotel room was okay had a rather weird layout. The shower was either ice cold or fire hot. The doors to the rooms were so loud and slammed all night and morning. The A/C was extremely loud. The breakfast is one reason I chose this over another hotel. The choices were cereal, bagels, milk, and danish. It was pretty pathetic for a continental breakfast. The staff did not say anything when you walked in or out. You can message the hotel on the app for any needs or questions starting 2 days before checking in and I messaged twice with no response. Not sure what the point of having it is, if you don’t get a response. It was just rather disappointing. If looking for a good location, this is a good hotel but for service I would look elsewhere.

Hotel is in a great location for adventuring on Broadway or attending events at Bridgestone Arena or Nissan Stadium. The valet parking was an awesome convenience. The hotel was very busy when we stayed and the staff was accommodating and friendly. There were no housekeeping services during the stay so we had to visit the front desk for toilet paper, fresh towels, garbage bags, etc. We did the digital check in prior to arrival which caused confusion with the front desk. We were assigned to one room and given keys to another. Another visit to the front desk to check in was required as we could not access the room. As noted we stayed during a very busy weekend and the breakfast staff did a good job keeping items stocked.

Room was so loud from traffic noise that it destroyed any peaceful rest I might have gotten. Room was spotless but bathroom shower head was janky and the pipe was wobbling badly. The other person had the same experience. They don't have the towels stored near where you shower; it's in a completely different room. Very odd.
