Clean, quiet hotel. Located off I94. Good WIFI. Staff were very professional and prompt. The room rate was reasonable. The breakfast area was very clean and well stocked. Restaurants nearby. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Nice and clean, access to parking lot not great and breakfast was not as hot as would have liked.
Clean room, nice fitness room, but pool was too cool. Water access in the fitness room would be great, and the sanitizing wipes would not come out to the container.

i was very impressed. reasonable rates plus a discount since i had a relative getting surgery at Sanford Medical, which is just a few blocks walk down the street. very convenient location, rooms were clean and neat. Jack, who checked me in over the phone, went above and beyond by leaving some jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches in both my and my mother's rooms in the fridge so when we straggled in at midnight after my father got out of emergency surgery we could have something to eat. i would definitely stay there again...but i hope i don't have to. :)

We went down to Fargo with our kids between Christmas and New Years as part of their Christmas present. From the moment we walked in we were impressed with the hospitality of the front desk staff. Well, our 2 night stay quickly turned into a 3-night stay when over 12 inches (!) of snow came down and the whole city shut down - including the interstates. We were overwhelmed and not prepared. How were we going to feed and keep 2 children busy for an extra day plus? Penny at the front desk was amazing! She was stuck with the rest of us and worked tirelessly to find somewhere that was open that could deliver food. She and the other staff put out soup and breakfast for us so we had something to eat and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the day and night. The staff made what could have been an awful experience into a good one - one that my children cannot stop talking about!

Very nice, clean rooms. Great bed and pillows. Convenient to I-94 and downtown Fargo. The breakfast was great too, but we especially enjoyed the hostess in the breakfast area. She was very friendly, and constantly cleaning up tables as well as replacing food selections as they were being consumed. Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again when in the area.

Stayed for 2 nights while returning home from a longer trip. Hotel is very clean, rooms very comfortable. Breakfast was on the better end of hotel breakfasts, with lots of room in the breakfast area.
Staff were seen several times wiping down surfaces, even disinfecting the tv remote in the main sitting area of the breakfast area as well as the keyboard on the public computer. Very pleased with hotel and would definitely recommend.

I have stayed at this hotel in Fargo on a number of occasions and it has become my go to choice whenever I need to stay overnight in Fargo. Access from I-94 is easy. Rooms have always been clean as has been the hotel itself. Staff have always been friendly and courteous. Especially appreciated is the fact that the room climate control system is virtually inaudible. A very cool feature in the last room I stayed was a digital readout on the shower head showing the water temperature, something I have never seen before!

The manager is a total b!?$@ who is very unprofessional. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and have never had such an unpleasant experience as I had at this hotel. One of the front desk people even double booked our room and gave another family keys to our room. Moments later they came charging into our room with us in there!
Other hotels in the area have started making good hot heals but not here. They give you a paper bag and have a bunch of prepackaged nasty items that they expect you to eat.
The manager even lied to us telling us they were completely booked up making us check out of her hotel. We checked online and they still had rooms available. So after all of that I absolutely can not recommend this hotel and do not plan on staying there again.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. Typically I would be aware of any situation which may involve myself, but I must apologize as I do not remember any situations this month. You did mention her, so that would possibly eliminate me from the equation. The team is very good about putting items of concern in our pass down logs and I did find that you had not checked out by 12 pm as our policy states. You had not advised our front desk of this and after several calls and delays would not vacate. Our housekeepers need to keep to a rigid schedule when we are full the evening you were to vacate. At check in you had not declared your pet , which there could have been a $250 fine for utilizing one of our non pet rooms. Putting pets into rooms that we are not notified can result in issues for guests arriving after. Your pet was allowed on the sofa and we were not able to put the room back in service with the amount of cleaning which needed to be done. We receive many compliments for our limited breakfast and have items that are above the brand standard. The rules have been relaxed for hot breakfasts for our hotel within the past two weeks. Our goal is to have this going as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, due to the the number of shortages of available workers, we are in the same situation as many businesses in our area. It would not benefit you or other customers if we put out a service we knew could not could not meet guests expectations. Our hotel has won many awards of distinction for its above and beyond service to our guests. In this instance my team has gone the extra mile to work with you under difficult circumstances. We always appreciate a guests views because it allows us to understand how to improve our services to the guests we serve. We will use this valuable lesson as a training tool so situations such as this do not occur in the future. Warm regards, Dennis Gumke General Manager

Still, not serving hot breakfast, unlike most other places. I see by some responses from them it's due to lack of help, I'm sure the fact that it saves them money has nothing to do with it? The hot tub did not work, and the water pressure in the shower would not put out a match. When we voiced our concerns at checkout we received the standard too bad so sad, don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out. ,She said the lack of hot food was a corporate decision ( I'm guessing to save money , but she can't say that)) And she didn't even know the hot tub wasn't working??

Response from Dennis Gumke, General Manager at Sleep Inn & Suites Fargo Medical Center
Responded Jun 23, 2021
Thank you for taking a few minutes for your review. I do recall that our maintenance manager had closed the hot tub and before he left for the day had forgotten to take the sign down. This was remedied with a quick phone call to double check as you would never want to go in if the chemicals had not dissipated to the correct levels. I found that out myself the hard way when I stayed at a hotel and there was no sign, got in; and my wife and I had our swim suites turn completely white and gave us a rash and burns on our skin. It is always our hope that maintenance issues are resolved when the guest notices something straight away. There are signs in the hotel letting our guests know if they have anything to let us know so we can fix it so we do not have to ruin your stay and cause frustration. If no one came to me with issues then my position would not be required to deal with situations as they occur. We do not have information on which your room was so if the next guest comes along they could have the same experience very often because some things are spotted only by the guest. Having spoke to our maintenance their are two things that happen if their is very little water pressure. Either the head is not fully locked in the different settings or the valve closing the spout is not seating correctly. It is never my goal to offer something in our hotel that I knew could bring more upset to guests and the staff working for me. The team has held together for the past year in often very difficult situations and often overlooked that they have had to work and endure the layoffs and remain loyal to this hotel through the pandemic. This is not just our hotel issue or city issue but a nationwide issue. On the outside looking in it is sometimes not quite as it seems. The cost of the items that we carry has had additional cost and not a lower cost as guests may think. We are able to usually able to buy food and the items to serve in bulk at a substantial cost savings over individually wrapped items. A trip to the grocery store is a great example of how the costs have gone up from A to Z. You will find me at the hotel 6 days a week and my card at the front desk. I would be horrified if I heard a member of the team led you to believe they didn't care. The length of service for this team has been longer than any hotel I have worked in my long history of hotels. When I came it was amazing to see all the honors they have received across all agencies providing service to the hotel and several of distinction at a national level. By all means we do experience issues and not be our best from time to time, but that is why we learn on a daily basis how we can improve. It is our hope that this experience would not deter you from staying again because if you do I would personally ensure your stay is to the level you expect. I would like to pass on my sincere apologies for all the inconvenience caused. My warmest regards and we hope if you are through this area again give us another opportunity to show the level of service we are able to provide.

We have stayed here often and every time are more than satisfied with the service, staff, cleanliness and food. Chicken tortilla soup in the evening was excellent. Parking out front in the spots allotted to Elite members is a nice touch and we always appreciate getting our account under our door in the morning. Our compliments to the manager and staff!
