Don’t let the word “motel” fool you into not staying here! We usually stay at large hotels but the reviews for the Miami Motel were so good that we reserved three rooms for one night. It was such a great decision! Instead of the drab rooms of chain hotels that are all alike, each room was furnished differently and beautifully with lots of color! There was a refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. The rooms were spotless and large and the beds comfy! We had jacuzzis in each room.

The woman who greeted us upon arrival was welcoming and gave us suggestions for dinner. We were only a short drive from everything but outside the crowds. There were tables set up in front of the hotel and the six of us were able to enjoy the good weather and play games together that evening. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here!

We stayed here for a weekend getaway. It's close to all that Canandaiguia has to offer. Just on the outskirts of town, it was quiet and had a country feel. Room decor was very pleasant. Modern amenities, but furnishings were colorful with a 1950s feel. Main room and bathroom were clean and organized. Bedding and towels smelled clean and fresh. The bed was super comfortable with about 8 pillows and a lovely quilt spread. Small toiletries were top of the line and plentiful, right down to makeup remover towelettes. There was a Kitchen area complete with a Keurig coffee maker and quality coffee pods. Not your typical gross instant coffee packets! The little things matter...We had a King room with a carport and patio with table and chairs. It felt like we were in a cottage or bungalow in Florida! Owner Dennis was very courteous and let us tour the Jacuzzi room the next day since we had inquired about it. He explained the history and workmanship that has gone into their place. We can't wait to go back. Many thanks to Valerie and Dennis for maintaining a clean, comfortable and affordable place that is FAR ABOVE the rest. We intend to come back whenever we are in Canandaigiua!

What a wonderful little motel for Cherry Wonderdog! It was up the road from downtown Canandaigua, perhaps a mile or less, far enough, however, to be away from the hustle and bustle, leaving us without concern for things left in the car. I was expecting an old retro hotel from the 60s, great value but lacking modern amenities. I’ve stayed in a few of these before, but Miami Motel is different. Miami is updated, renovated, and commodious. Comfortable king bed, heating and cooling system completely remote, a double shower head, and ample outlets in all the right places to connect appliances and chargers alike. There’s shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and even toothbrushes and paste for those (like me) who forget theirs at home.

I also found the husband and wife owners to be sincere, conscientious, reasonable, and smart. They welcomed us with just enough professionalism to give us what we needed to get started and to accommodate our early departure. They didn’t pre-charge anything to our credit card either. Inasmuch as we had a couple of e-bikes in tow, they assigned us an adorable private room with a carport that made us feel incredibly cozy and secure.

One thing that has changed recently (website needs updating) is breakfast – it’s gone, supposedly a result of the pandemic. It’s a little unfortunate, because something quite simple in the office area would help folks start their day more quickly than having to visit a local restaurant. In our case, we planned ahead and brought cereal, milk, instant coffee, and plastic utensils to the room. The little refrigerator and microwave made it possible to fix a simple but satisfying meal without going out. Note that there was a Keurig machine in the room, but no matter how hard I try, I can never get that coffee to taste better than leaf broth.

All in all, Miami Motel was perfect for our two-night stay, and we didn’t spend an arm and a leg by any means. It’s a great value, and you’ll drive away thankful to have supported a nice couple whose friendly business offers travelers an alternative to the typical pricey hotel chains.

We stayed here over a long weekend for our daughter's wedding at the suggestion of the venue - Lincoln Hills. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We stayed in room 30 has a jacuzzi and everything is brand new inside, We never had to ask for clean towels because they stock the bathroom with more than you can use. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating Also, you can't beat the price and location, We highly recommend!

It's hard to know where to begin. My husband and I needed a place to stay while our new/old house was being totally renovated during the global pandemic. How fortunate we found the Miami Motel!! The owners ( Val and Dennis now feel like friends) are incredibly accommodating, kind and flexible. The colorful, well-appointed rooms (each one is different) reflect a mid-century modern, South Florida vibe. Beds are incredible comfortable, everything is immaculately clean. Flocks of pink plastic flamingos and tropical flowers decorate the ground. It was difficult to leave at the end of our 3 week stay!

The Miami Motel AND it's owners are AMAZING!! We were in Canandaigua for our son's wedding and needed a place to stay. We decided to try the Miami Motel because everyone was raving about how cute it was and that it had been all updated. We reserved the double unit, which means it was two bedrooms each with a queen size bed, with a door for some privacy, and then a shared bathroom. There was also a sink and mirror outside of the bathroom which came in handy. Our daughter and her boyfriend had one room while we had the other. It was the perfect size and was very comfy. It had a little refrigerator with a freezer, a microwave, and an iron. The parking was easy and out of the way. There were some chairs and a table outside that we could have used, had the weather been nicer.
We will definitely be back to stay again!!! Such a welcoming home away from home!!!

We have stayed at the Miami many times over the years when visiting family in the area. I grew up in the area. We have watched them slowly take a dive motel with a bad reputation and renovate it into a chic, retro, affordable and comfortable motel for travelers.

First, this is the cleanest, (and I mean the cleanest! ) motel/ hotel I have ever stayed in my travels. It’s consistent every visit.
It’s affordable. We can book three nights at a time to visit and not break the bank.
The frig, microwave are a nice perk. And they include paper towels for that and a small eating/ sitting area. Tiled bathroom with an upgraded shower head. Wonderful!
And Table and chairs outside each unit.

Through four decades of weddings/ holiday /family visits that often mean reserving multiple rooms we have tried most of the resort and chain hotels (with children and grandchildren) to stay in the area. The Miami is our number one choice that we continue to come back to.
The hosts are friendly and so great to work with.
Congratulations on a great job bringing an affordable and comfortable choice for visitors in the area.

Had a one night stay at the Miami Resort as a little getaway in Canandaigua. The owners of this resort are lovely, friendly, kind, and easy to deal with. They have spent tons of time and energy lovingly restoring this motel into an affordable, clean, comfortable and hip spot for an enjoyable stay. We had a jacuzzi king room. Very clean, our own carport, very comfortable bed, fridge and microwave, Keurig, lovely jacuzzi tub separate from the bathroom, lots of room and seating. Our stay was brief but we enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

I've been visiting from the west coast to take care of my mother. I need a mental health break and a good night's sleep each week and the jacuzzi rooms and Grub Hub do the trick. So far I've stayed here 4 times and have another 5 nights booked. Beds are comfy, the tubs are spacious, owners are accommodating and very sweet, and I can bring my tiny dog. My only complaint is that I have to leave the next day.

We stayed here for a few nights while in town to see a concert at CMAC. Upon arrival, we didn’t know quite what to make of the place. It’s cute and cozy and decked out in tropical colors. There are people hanging out chatting at tables in front of their motel style rooms. The place is truly an old motel that has kept its nostalgic charm while adding modern and comfortable touches. When checking in, the owners seemed delighted to see us, gave us our keys (actual keys!), told us where to find everything we needed, and off we went feeling delightedly at home. We were given a king jacuzzi room. It was comfortable and Ultra clean. There was a mini fridge, keurig, flat screen tv, electric fireplace, and the comfiest bed I’ve slept in in awhile. There was really nothing that I could think of that was missing. Plenty of towels, toiletries, hair dryer, iron, etc. After our concert we relaxed with some friends under neon blue lights in a lovely landscaped little spot with tables. It felt both surreal and comfy. Mostly, just fun. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in town!

The motel is about 10 - 15 minutes drive to the VA hospital. It is very convenient to food shopping and an Anytime Fitness. We stayed in a room with a refrigerator, Jacuzzi and, I believe, a microwave. It faced the back of the motel so it was very quiet.

It cost me $79 US dollar on Saturday for the ZZ Top Concert. Great value and the owners ate very attentive. The rooms are spotless and I had a huge lovely double bed. The shower was excellent as well. This motel is rated by TripAdvisor as number 1xin the area and I wouldn't disagree. The town is really nice with lots to do for people of all ages. It also has a beautiful marina where you can sit and watch the sun go down. I will definitely go back to both the town and motel.
