Horseshoe Las Vegas garners mixed reviews, with its central Strip location earning praise for convenience. However, some guests have called out the hotel for its unexpected fees, which detract from its perceived value. Issues with service, such as slow staff response and unsatisfactory interactions, are also noted. While the rooms are acknowledged for their spaciousness, many travelers report dissatisfaction with outdated decor, a lack of modern amenities, and inconsistent cleanliness. Amenities are seen as satisfactory, though the absence of certain conveniences is a point of contention.

The location of the hotel and elevators to exiting the hotel are easy. Bally's is right across from Bellagio, a short walk to the Cromwell and Giada's restaurant. It is also connected to the Paris hotel. Bally's casino is very smoky with low ceilings. There is a shopping area right outside of Bally's. The room size is good and there are two chairs that can be put together to create a small bed - our teen son slept there. The room had two beds in it. Our room may have had some problems with the windows because the windows got fogged up and we could hear the nightclub at the Cromwell clearly - the bass could be felt next to the window. We had to get noise-canceling earplugs the second night. Housekeeping only puts three towels in the bathroom so we had to ask for more as there were four of us. The decorations of the hotel were pretty flat. We found the room to be clean enough because the carpet seemed worn.

This was a perfect one night stop for us before a flight home. The location is fantastic, right on the Strip and connected to my favorite casino (Paris) but cheaper than the more well known hotels. The rooms were bright and beds super comfy. Big shower. Due to Covid, hours at a lot of the onsite attractions were cut, and bars all over Vegas are closed unless they serve food (you have to sit down and eat to get a drink). We felt it was very clean though at Bally's, parking was free due to the pandemic which was a plus, and check-in was done through a kiosk. Only negative I can think of is that only two devices per room are allowed to be registered to the wifi, and you have to pay for additional. Overall though a good affordable choice for the Strip.

Family stayed in a resort tower two queen room January 2nd to 6th. This is not a luxury 5 star hotel, nor do I think they advertise themselves as such, and we knew that going in. But I rated them 5 stars based on our satisfaction and the overall condition and service encountered at the property. Our room was as clean and well kept as at any other hotel we’ve stayed at. Everything was in good condition and working order. Furthermore, we had two very positive encounters with housekeeping. First, I stopped at the front desk around midnight of our first night to request additional shampoo as there were three of us in the room. From there I proceeded straight to our 9th floor room and to my surprise someone from housekeeping was knocking on the door as I approached, with a sack full of additional shampoo, soap and lotion. Then the following day, the wife was resting in the room past noon with the do not disturb tag out. Around 1:00 pm housekeeping called the room and asked if she would like the room serviced. My wife replied it was not needed but would like a fresh set of towels. Less than 5 minutes later she had a fresh set of towels. The automated checkout was accurate and easy. We liked the variety in the food court and being connected to the food, casino and other options at Paris is very convenient. Besides Bally’s, we also enjoyed burgers at In-N-Out in the Linq Promenade, as well as Dirt Dogs (and delicious filthy fries) and Giordano’s famous deep dish pizza at the Bally’s Bazaar shops just outside the hotel. Having CVS in front of the hotel is very convenient as well. And while we had a rental car one day (drove to Zion, highly recommend) we ate at Shaq’s Big Chicken and we really enjoyed our chicken sandwiches and fries. As you can tell we have simple tastes but recognize and appreciate quality and flavor. Instead of spending a lot on fancy food we prefer to eat some of the unique things we don’t have in or near our home city. We would stay at Bally’s again based on our experience this trip and the excellent central strip location.

Booked a couple nights after a last minute business meeting scheduled in Las Vegas. Was booked into a two room suite in the Jubilee tower. Checkin in the Diamond check in was a breeze, agents were quite nice. We arrived earlier than the normal check in time and the agent searched for a room that was ready (we knew it would be a gamble checking in on a Sunday around 1pm) but she found one and off to the Jubilee Tower we went.
The Premium Jubilee Suite was HUGE, two rooms with entry room having a water closet, wet bar, living room space with large TV and dining room table. The bedroom was just as large as the living/dining room with a jetted tub, large shower, two vanities, two closets and of course water closet. Bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. Closets had plenty of hangars and iron/ironing board. There was a mini fridge in both the bedroom and the bar area in the living room and coffee maker in the bar area.
The casino is small compared to other Las Vegas resorts but clean and with a good selection of machines from old favorites to new. Table games aplenty and drink service was good.
Our room faced Flamingo Road so we had a view of the shopping area, Cromwell and Caesars Palace. We did not have any noise issues but we were there Sunday/Monday so maybe Drais at Cromwell was closed. We find that just about any strip facing room in any hotel in Las Vegas is going to have noise whether it be normal city noises (traffic, sirens) or wafting music sounds from the many clubs and bars that are strip side at many of the resorts.
One drawback for Bally’s is dining options. I miss the days when all casinos in Las Vegas had 24 hour coffee shops...Bally’s dining leaves a lot to be desired, A steakhouse which is very good but dinner only, a taco place which is not very good, an Asian place that is so/so and a Buca di Beppo is a national chain and to me no better than an Olive Garden so while inexpensive, it’s nothing I can’t get at home if I wanted to...I like to eat at places in Las Vegas that I can’t get home! At least Bally’s is connected to Paris, so a short indoor trek over there gets you many more options.
I found the staff at the rewards desk to be kind and the cashier cage folks were fun and engaging.
Overall we were quite pleased with our experience at Bally’s!

Thank you to Bally's for meeting my request for a view of the Bellagio Fountains from our window. We could see about 2/5 of the Fountains, and that was really nice. We were right across from the restaurant level of the Eiffel Tower and had a partial view of the Strip and the Fountains. There was a very loud club at the Eiffel Tower, but their music stopped at 2am just when we were going to sleep, so it was okay. We were on about the fifth or sixth floor; if you can get higher or in the very end room (we were two or three rooms from the end) you probably would have a better view of the Strip and the Fountains.

Bally's was right in the middle of everything we wanted to see in Vegas for my first trip (everything except Fremont Street, of course). Bally's location is 5-stars/Excellent in my book. The room was very good, especially for the January prices, though it was a long walk from the elevator. It was easily worth the long walk to get the view.

I liked the $10 minimum on the craps tables at Bally's. While across the street (Bellagio and Caesar's) and others down the street were more luxurious, I didn't want to play at a $25 minimum table. I would have played the $5 minimum tables, but we only saw those on Fremont Street, and we only went there once.

Like all the casinos, there is a lot of cigarette smoke in the Bally's casino area. Though our room was on a non-smoking floor, the smoke smell travels with you and your clothes. The nicer, more expensive hotels did a better job of getting rid of the smoke (or just had fewer people per square foot who were smoking).

If we had a free stay anywhere, I would probably stay at Bellagio or Caesar's or some other more luxurious hotel; but for my own money, I would definitely stay at Bally's again. It was very enjoyable.

What is most notable about Bally's is the focus they have had on making changes for the better. Most impressive are the upgrades to the rooms. Great showers, comfortable beds and pleasant decor. Additionally, the staff personnel at check-in, bell desk, bars & restaurants was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The attitude and atmosphere were vastly improved from my previous stay. The casino area is clean and modern, plus well-planned organization of slots, video poker machines and kiosks. Definitely a "Total Rewards" hotel worthy of future consideration. They also have a nice variety of food venues within the hotel, plus the food court on the East side and great eateries just outside of the west entrance. The one drawback is the "setback" location which is somewhat removed from the strip. The efforts to ease the transition from Las Vegas Blvd to the hotel are impressive, especially if you travel on the upper level. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was impressed with the new "Caesars Reward" experience.

Though the room was huge and great it had NO microwave, NO coffee maker. It literally costed 40 to 50 dollars a day to eat there and I had to go to Planet Hollywood to eat at a decent price. Guess where I a staying next time? And they literally want you
The service for my disabled friend was horrendous. She could not get her room cleaned until she asked and the security guard by the elevators told me to move when I was waiting for her to come down the elevator. Everyone but the lady at the coffee stand named France was horrible. The shuttle driver from Belltrans service was rude too. It is unbelievable that these people are so rude when we keep their asses employed

I want my money back and will NOT recommend Bally's to anyone.

Bally's always has nice clean rooms at a reasonable price, is centrally located in the heart of the strip, and provides all table games with table limits that are not too expensive for regular people to play. My wife and two sons recently visited and had a great time, and the people working at the property were kind and helpful making out trip that much better...well, maybe hitting a jackpot next time would make it that much better too!!

A 2 to 3 star hotel depending on your needs. If you need sleep and or luxury then Ballys is not the place for you but if you are never in your room then Ballys could be a good place with its central Strip location. Outside noise is loud, at times very loud.

If you are in the North tower the Drai's nightclub will keep you awake until 3-4am along with the traffic noise aka sirens all through out the night.

If you are in the South Tower then the outdoor music club at the Paris hotel along with the Bellagio Fountain music & explosions will also keep you awake.

The rooms are older and show wear & tear but are reasonably clean. Housekeeping is lackluster at best so don't be surprised at seeing signs of previous guests staying in the room. We stayed in the Jubilee Tower which had a mini-fridge which was nice but no coffee maker if thats your thing.

Also if privacy is your thing Ballys has some strange procedures starting with someone from Bally's must enter your room every day. Housekeeping will suffice for this mandatory room check/inspection but if you decline housekeeping you will have someone from security entering your room each day. Bally's has even taken away the do not disturb door knob tags, strange.

We are on family vacation and spend 4 nites here up until Christmas Day 2019. After more than 21 hours flying from South East Asia, we are checking in at around 2:00 AM in the morning and they surprised us as they upgraded our room to one of their Resort Executive Suite.

I must say that everything was excellent. The location of the hotel is in the center of action on the Strip and nearby to most of the famous tourist destinations. As for the room, is excellent and especially the bed is very comfortable. The parking fee is a surcharge and it works for in-out priveleges not only on this hotel but also to all hotels under the Caesars Entertainment.

Being for the good service, competitive price and the perfect location, I would definitely recommend this hotel while in Vegas.

I wouldn't use the $20 trick at Horseshoe. The check-in staff at Horseshoe don't seem that keen on customer satisfaction. I couldn't use Caesars Rewards in the lower-level food court that Horseshoe has, only at ground level eating places. I had 1 night comped for my stay at Horseshoe, compared to 4 nights comped with MGM. My gambling history is roughly equal with both Caesars and MGM.

Answering my own question, in case anybody wants to know. I could not find a reservation email so I phoned the hotel directly. They put a request on our reservations, but said it was up to the front desk staff at check-in. When checking in , she could not guarantee us together. She wanted a tip, so our friend gave her one then low & behold she could instantly find us rooms together. Bottom floor ( 5th) 1 looking at a wall & insulation, 2 looking out at broken glass & garbage. We sucked it up because we wanted to be close together. Definitely a better treatment when it was Bally’s. We had 4 rooms together, no money exchanged, and killer views. Checking in on a Wednesday, find it hard to believe they were the only rooms available together .

I believe you can pay a little extra (I thought it was $40 for a late check out). I know you can do it for an early check in.
