Detailed Reviews
Caribe Beach Resort is a small property that provides practically everything you need for a wonderful beach visit. This property is a timeshare property and rooms are almost always available directly by calling the office. It cost about half as much to stay here as anywhere else on the island. Most of the units are efficiencies with a queen size Murphy bed and pull out couch. This unit will sleep four, but are most comfortable for two. The furniture is comfortable and Florida style. I love the fact that they provide free beach umbrellas, chairs and bikes, you can enjoy the hot tub late into the evening. Their location on the beach is really special and that you can see both sunrise and sunset. Today I saw dolphins frolicking, and collected a beautiful bag full of shells, then a relaxing dip in the heated pool while grilling poolside. This is not a new fancy-schmancy hotel, this is an older property in excellent condition. The staff is terrific.

Caribe Beach Resort was a pleasant surprise. The grounds and especially the pool were beautiful thanks to the hard working maintenance crew. The resort offered free beach bikes that could have used some TLC. The beach was incredible with millions of shells covering the shore. The weather was absolutely perfect with some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. The only suggestions I have for management is to spray the rooms more often. We were greeted with a roach the first night. Also the beds were on the hard side. All in all a very nice place to visit at a very reasonable price.

Check in/check out was super easy. We stayed in an efficiency, small but Ok for 2 people and a dog. The resort is low key and great location. We had sunrise and sunset view every day from the beach. Big beach, easy to social distance since there were hardly any people there. Pool area is very nice, used the jacuzzi every day. Everyone (guests and staff) were all extremely friendly. The unit had all the supplies: paper towels, toilet paper, detergent, garbage bags, coffee filters, beach chairs and umbrella. Gas grills are available throughout. Beach towels and bathroom towels can get exchanged one time on Wed mornings. Bikes are available on site. It was a very pleasant experience and LOVED that it's pet friendly. Wish we had more pet friendly resorts.

The dedicated, paved biking trails all over the island were our favorite part of this trip. The resort itself is pretty dated, but clean. They offered free bikes to ride anytime that you wanted. We rode everyday! The weather was perfect: warm, but with a slight breeze. Many places on the trails are shaded as well. We rode to kayak, to lunch, to the beach, the lighthouse, and just to ride for exercise. We always felt safe and enjoyed the beautiful trails. The resort is right on the beach, so we enjoyed the beach and the beautiful sunsets. Walks on the beach do require shoes, though, because of all of the seashells that Sanibel is known for. Overall, a quiet relaxing vacation.

The time of year I went, the resort was quiet with mostly retired folks. Most of the units are small but clean and well appointed. The resort is older but well maintained. The units are just a few steps away from an excellent shelling beach.
Inside the units there is no garbage disposal but otherwise the kitchen has everything you need. The TV's are very small. The bathrooms are small with a tub/shower. There is a nice showerhead.
Outside there are plenty of picnic tables and seating. There is playground equipment for little folk. The free bikes are newer and well maintained. Sanibel has many well maintained bike paths.

The outside was beautifully kept. Swimming pool was gorgeous. But I guess you get what you pay for. I booked this apartment because I found it on the AFVC website and I've always had beautiful condos when I booked with them. This place was extremely tiny. Beds were very uncomfortable and well past needing new mattresses. If two people were in the same room, you had to back into a corner to let them by. There were three of us and I can't imagine having 6 people in the unit. It was clean enough, but very old and dated. The balcony space we had was very nice. Spent a lot of time there when not at the beach. I read numerous good reviews on this place so I was surprised that it was disappointing. I don't think I'll book there again. We actually left two night early because we were in pain from the beds.

Im sorry you felt that way about our piece of paradise. What unit were you in? And you could of told us about your bed as we have ways to make it more comfortable. We could of put a board under the mattress to make it more firm or egg crates to make it softer..

+1
An old property, but close to the beach. If you are in building B, it is a bit of a hike when you are carrying chairs, but you are also right next to the pool and hot tub. The one-bedroom has an ice maker and a decent kitchen. TV is old and small, and the A/C unit is so loud you have to turn up the tv when it is on, but overall, a good place.
It would be nice if they would include shampoo and hand lotion, though. Sheets and bedding are old, and the couch is super uncomfortable. Just a bit of a refresh would help out a lot.

This older Florida resort is still a great value and efficiency units are being updated. Clean. Sanibel Island Beach location is just steps away. Nice pool with grills available. Towels and standard sand beach chairs provided. There are beach umbrellas available.

We called twice to see if we could check in an hour early, the lady was friendly and said we could. So when we checked in an hour early, the manager came up to us and was very unfriendly and chastised us over and over again for checking in early. He was like a teacher yelling at a bad little kid. The unit was filthy, spaghetti sauce all over the side of the fridge, hair all over the bathroom, dead bugs, rusted out dirty coffee maker. Furniture was extremely outdated and uncomfortable. No laundry basket. No colander. Unit was infested with ants to which we were left with a can of Raid. Repair man came in and put ant poison drops all over the bathroom counter next to our toothbrushes and toiletries. The only good thing about this place was it was on Sanibel. Pool and bikes were nice, that’s it. We won’t be back.

Check in and out was very easy. Unit was as described, small but perfect. I was there by myself with my dog. Very pet friendly. Location was on first floor with only about a 1 minute walk to beach. Beach was not crowded which made social distancing very easy. I didn’t use the pool but it looked very clean. Staff was very responsive to my needs. Beds are the only thing that could use improvement. I tried both the Murphy bed and the sofa bed. Of the two, I would have to say the sofa bed was a little more comfortable.

the beach out in front of the resort is not private anyone can walk on the beach from any direction and walk bye. You can only use the beach if you are staying at the resort.
We have now stayed at Caribe Beach Resort 3 X and our mattresses have always been comfortable.
The only units that have a regular bed is the one bedroom deluxes and the cottages
The only handicap room we have is unit 7A, It has a roll in shower and wider doors.
all the units have their own routers
