Green Gay Bulls is a restored Victorian Home, built in the late 1800's It stands at the front of 3 acres of manicured lawns, a section of woods and 149 feet of water frontage on the Vernon River. There is a wharf nearby, where if you have a canoe or kayak with you, you can launch and go for a scenic trip up the river and be back in time to see the spectacular sunsets, in the early evening. Then perhaps, light a fire and enjoy the evening around the fire pit. This home has had an interesting past being a private home and at one point was also the United Church Manse. At such time, many weddings and christenings were performed in the formal parlor. A tradition that we continue as Jim, the owner of the B&B was the first appointed Marriage Commissioner of PEI. There is a Gentlemen's smoking veranda at the front of the house, a deck bordering the fish pond, garden's galore and a comfy bench under the great willow tree out front, for those of you that just want to sit back and read.

My husband and I stayed at Green Gay Bulls for two nights this past week. Jim and Ken are two of the most welcoming hosts we've ever met at a Bed and Breakfast. We stayed up chatting with them and other guests both nights and felt like we were amongst friends.Jim's breakfasts are not only delicious but also plentiful. They both really go above and beyond for their guests to make it a wonderful stay. If you are looking for a home away from home, or a fantastic comfortable stay, then you need to stay here!

Thank you so much Miss, for taking the time to leave us such a great review. We truly enjoyed our time spent with the two of you and hopefully, if everything works out in your favor, we will have the chance again, in the not too distant future to sit, chat and catch up,...perhaps a night by the river and around fire pit.:) Come back any time, stay well and enjoy the remainder of the Summer

My girlfriend and I had a lovely experience staying at Green Gay Bulls! Jim and Kenneth made us feel right at home and were very welcoming. We loved exploring the house and property and all of the fabulous pieces of art throughout. Our bed was comfortable and everything including the spa-like bathroom with a huge shower was very clean. The evening we arrived it rained a bit so we sat on the sheltered front porch and enjoyed a few drinks with one of our hosts. Next time if the weather behaves we would love to sit out back by the huge fire pit. We enjoyed a delicious gourmet breakfast - Jim even took the time to ask us if we had any food restrictions. We had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to book a stay again!

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening - whatever the case may be :) Thank you Miss for taking the time out of your day to leave us such a kind review. We so appreciate the feedback and hearing that our guests ( our actual guests that is) enjoyed their stay with us. If ever you make it to PEI again, you will have a chair reserved for you both, either around our fire pit or like the last time, on our veranda. Even if you are not able to be a guest, we do hope that you and any other of our previous guests know that our door is always open,..and you are more than welcome to walk through it :) We hope the two of you remain well and enjoy the rest of the Summer,..

By far this was the best B&B in PEI....the food was scrumptious...the rooms...tranquilizing...the surroundings...well..perfect....and the host could not have been more welcoming. I wanted to stay longer than our 2 day arranged stay but we were heading back home.....
I would stay here again without any hesitation......this place is a treat you should not miss on your adventure in PEI

We travel to PEI every summer for a vacation. We have participated in all of the local tourist attractions several times over, along with dining at our favorite places to eat as we explore new ones.
After several calls to this BnB which went to voicemail, I looked them up on Facebook to send a private message asking for any tips or suggestions for us to check out the gay scene, if any, on the island. We normally vacation to relax but this year we wanted something a little different besides the theater, beaches, food and casinos. On their FB page it states "replies within 1 day" ... I sent that message well over a week ago and I can see through messanger that it was received and read. Yet, no reply.
Terrible service to ignore someone like that. Even if I had a reply of... we are looking into it and will reply shortly...fine! Im okay with that. But to have someone request some help and its brushed off, doesnt sit well with me especially when you are in the tourism and service industry.
Based on this experience alone, I wouldnt book with this place or recommend it to others. If a phone call or Text message cannot be returned, what other shady situations would occur!?
Im not going to waste my money to find out!

We here at Green Gay Bulls B&B, live by the motto that is clearly posted on the sign at the front door "There Are No Strangers Here, Only Friends We Have Yet To Meet" On June 12, 2017 at 2:59 pm,..we did indeed receive the following message from this user. You should also not that he was using a fake name and without a proper profile picture "Hi there. Ive tried calling a few times but no one has answered and I have not left a message either. Myself and Tony return to PEI this July for our annual trip out to the island and I was trying to reach you to find out if there are any gay points of interest, night life, etc., that we could perhaps check out this year. We arrive just in time for the Canada Day celebrations and leave on July 9th. If you could let me know of any events that would be appreciated. Thanks " What this user fails to add is that we also run an upholstery shop on site, my partner is also a marriage commissioner, we are currently going through some intense renovations , in hopes of allowing our guests to have an even greater stay. We have 3 acres of property to maintain, 2 dogs to tend to and are well involved with the local church and local museum,...all the while , trying to maintain some semblance of a social life/ private life. We did indeed, receive his message and both read that message soon after it was sent in, but unfortunately with so much on our plates, both of us failed to send an appropriate & timely response. We simply forgot and while we are regretful for this fact, we also do not see just cause for this review. Considering the fact that we are a Bed & Breakfast and NOT a Tourism Information Centre. Had this user left a voicemail after any of his multiple calls, there would of been a far better chance of a response from one of us. However, we do not tend to call back unknown long distance numbers ESPECIALLY, if no message was left. Anyone who would bother to read our reviews on either our website, Facebook page , AirBnB, or any other location, would clearly see that our guests. clients/ patrons are our most important priority. We provide our guests with an abundance of information, during their stay in regards to things to do and see during their stay. Emphasis on "our guests!" Our reviews have been nothing but positively glowing! The owner, has been in business for 29 years now,...reviews have always been extraordinary and not once have we/ he ever received such a negative review! If anything , guests have gone above and beyond to compliment us and praise us. Again, what this user fails to recogize, is that we are a simple B&B and NOT a Tourist Information Center. If this user would of spent half the time he spent writing this review actually googling "events on PEI" for the week of the 1st to whatever,..he would of easily discovered all that PEI has to offer for tourists, during the time period that he and his partner would be on PEI,.. Adding insult to injury, is also the suggestion of "shady situations" occurring! That somehow due to our failure to respond to a message on Facebook from a user using a fake name ( something that is not permitted on FB, I might add), regarding a topic that does not fall in to our business responsibilities we must smehow be corrupt, or at least questionable in our dealings with the public. We find this HIGHLY offensive! We hope that this user and his partner had a great visit to PEI and in the future, will think twice before criticizing a business in this fashion, without knowing details/facts and WITHOUT making personal judgments. Baseless comments like these can cause great damage to a business, ESPECIALLY in a small province like PEI! We also hope that they will think twice before expecting a business , to be something that it is not. It would be like me being upset that TripAdvisor didn't sell the eggs , I like! Also, we assume this person wasn't satisfied with the amount of attention he gained from his petty review, as soon after he opted to contact Tourism PEI and issue a totally manufactured complaint. Stating that he was receiving threats from us,., How we had no business working in the tourism industry and that if these bogus threats didn't stop , he was going to contact the police,.. Thankfully, in this business the good, far outweighs the bad! Obviously, this user didn't realize our 30 yrs of maintaining an exemplary reputation both within the Tourism industry, as well as the community, would lead to his accusations being dismissed REAALLAY quickly deemed a total falsehood!

Back for 2017, our usual B&B was sadly closed, so we tried this place. It is a nicely maintained farmhouse. We did not realise it was on a busy highway so noise was issue one. The interior is very old lady chic, with odd décor and dresses on mannequins??? Weird! The hosts were nice enough although a bit long winded, the elder one was a bit intrusive and talked our ears off. We liked them but we cannot recommend this place. Sorry guys.

2 weeks have now passed since we posted on TripAdvisor that this person at no time, ever stayed here. 2 weeks since we requested posted proof from this user A name, a date, a booking company used - to no avail,.. On 11 August 2013, another local B&B owner also called this reviewer out, and straight out said that they never were a guest..and yet these two reviews remain, as does the user! This evening my last response was removed from TripAdvisor al together because it supossedly did not meet it's guidelines. So I will post what I can remember again and also request that this review be removed ,as well as the user booted! Darvo, First and foremost, of the 23 reviews you have posted on this site 14,..let me repeat,....FOURTEEN of them, are given 1-2 stars out of 5. Which means, you either have this uncanny and somewhat innate ability to pick less than ideal businesses to patronize,..OR,...well we will just leave it to the readers to decide for themselves, exactly what type of person that we are dealing with here! The "farmhouse" as you so incorrectly referred to it, is actually a Victorian from the late 1800's. It looks nothing like a "farmhouse", has never been a "farmhouse" , is a good distance away from the closest actual farm AND in fact, was built to be used as the Church Manse. It was the crown of the neighborhood. The center of pretty much everything and anything of any real importance that occurred within the community. Christenings, weddings and funerals took place here. It was the heart of the community. Suggesting that this house is a "farmhouse" is like suggesting the fry guy at McDonalds is a Red Seal or Michelin Chef. It is rather unfortunate that you were not able to glean from our business address of 7401 TRANS CANADA HIGHWAY that a highway and the traffic sounds associated with a highway "might" be something that someone would have to contend with while staying here. Oddly enough, in the 4 years that Green Gay Bulls B&B has been open, not one person has ever complained, let alone commented about it. If only there was some way we could somehow, make it obvious to everyone that reads this that our B&B located at 7401 TRANS CANADA HIGHWAY has a highway, in close proximity!!! In the short while since we opened Green Gay Bulls B&B, literally HUNDREDS of people have toured through the home. Whether as guests, a stop on a charity tour, people who just happened to stop in, friends, family, neighbors, customers for the upholstery/ refinishing shop, people that James was marrying or those that just heard about us word of mouth....They marvel at the museum like atmosphere, the amount of history contained within and the almost tangible pride that can be felt throughout the home, by the owner. Lawyers, doctors, professors, business people, professional, blue collar, students, retired people ,.. each and every last one of them in awe of what we have managed to accomplish here. Whether it is the collection of antiques, the never ending family heirlooms, the art work from around the world, and/ or my own personal drawings throughout the house, People not only love it & rave about it, but they admit to be truly amazed with it all. Eclectic indeed, but anyone who would refer to it as "old lady chic",..well that is clearly someone whose design esthetic is found at IKEA, Homesense and/ Or Walmart,..!! James has 45 years experience in upholstery and refinishing. 40+ years dealing with antiques. He is considered a master of his trade. Each piece of furniture within the house is here for a reason, each piece compliments the next. Each piece is fitting for the age of the home and respectful the long history the home has had. As for the "weird" dresses on mannequins,..2 are actually wedding dresses - One from the turn of the century, the other from the early 1900's and both worn by James' family members (Mother and Grandmother). The 3rd gown is a child's christening gown from the 1800's,..again befitting the stye, date of and in respect of the history of the house (Manse). More importantly, it belonged to James' grandmother too( along with the child's rocker, high chair, booties, and sippy cup that we ever so proudly display... The concept of Bed & Breakfast has remained rather simplistic one since it's inception in the 1700'. People open up their private homes, to total strangers. for a fee,..offering them a bed to sleep in and a hearty breakfast before they leave. We here at Green Gay Bulls B&B took it one step farther,.. The plaque on the front door, clearly states "There are no strangers here, only friends we have yet to meet" For anyone reading this, visit our FB page or our own website, read the reviews from previous guests. Pretty much each and every last one of them echo those exact sentiments. There are two kinds of people in this industry,..those who understand the concept behind B&Bs and those that should just stay in hotels/ motels,..where they can remain anonymous and only deal with "staff" at check in and check out. This reviewer, judging by their reviews of oher B&Bs, is clearly the latter. If any of their reviews are actually real , that is! With 30 years experience , owning & operating 3 different B&Bs,..4 years for the current, Green Gay Bulls B&B,..we havereceived absolutely no less than 100% positive glowing reviews and life long return vistors,..it's sad, that with the anonymity the internet provides and the lack of proof TripAdvisor requests from it's reviewers, this one even exists!

From the moment we pulled up to this beautiful gay little slice of heaven, to the time we said our tearful farewells, with long loving embraces of our new found Bosom Buddies our hearts were filled with passion. Every morning Jim and Kenneth would serenade my lover and I with a new Celine Dion song as they served us breakfast in cute lil' matching short-shorts, leaving us famished for more succulent delicatessens. Our days were filled to the max with our two Adontis hosts, and relished in the warm summer breezes caressing the exposed parts of our oiled bodies. Hand-in-in, joyous frolics were the order of the evening, followed by romantic outdoor clawfoot tub baths and sensual seagull feather massages. The nights were tastefully finished with a sumptuous dinner fit for queens. Our beds, lavish and inviting, never squeaking or making a sound no matter how hard we played, play we did, was the best part of our stay. Thank you, so much to our gracious hosts, we will COME again ;-)

Imagine walking into a Victorian-era home filled with antiques and unique heirlooms and decorations... and the owners invite you to make yourself at home in ALL of the rooms of the house. That's exactly what Ken and Jim told us when we checked in. This was the most unique place of our stay in PEI, with all sorts of interesting items everywhere we looked. Because it is one-of-a-kind it is hard to compare it to other places. Our spacious upstairs room was clean, tidy and comfy with stuffed chairs and a couch for reading. Down the hall was a huge modern bathroom with TWO showers in a tiled double shower with glass door. A third showerhead was overhead. Plenty of extra towels and face cloths in the bathroom. In the evening we sat on the screened-in porch to suck in the evening air. Coffee was ready at 6:30 with breakfast at 8:15. Jim had emailed us weeks earlier asking about our food preferences and he served a wonderful vegetarian omelet. It was fun sitting around the dining table eating breakfast family style and conversing with the other guests. Breakfast was first-class and even included a strawberry-rhubarb side dish. It's obvious that Ken and Jim are proud of their B&B/home and they do business in the old style. They walked us out to our car and snapped our photo before we left. The location is situated on the highway that leads to the ferry terminal in Wood Islands and it is also not too far from the Confederation Trail on the way to Montague and Georgetown.

This is a very unique B&B with a great history attached to it.
It has a museum type feel as every lovingly restored piece of furniture has its own meaning and the owners are more than happy to take the time to share this with you.
Each room is decorated very tastefully with its own charm yet the bathroom is ultra modern with a huge walk in shower.
We arrived on the day Jim and Kenneth were holding a party and we were welcomed like old friends and were instantly accepted and offered drink and food.
The art work in the house is also phenomenal and much of it has been painted by Kenneth to a very high standard.
3 of us stayed and if we ever return to PEI we would definitely like to spend more time at this wonderful guesthouse with our new friends Jim and Kenneth!!
Also the breakfast was first class too!!
If you are looking to stay at a guesthouse that has charm, class and a very warm welcome you will not find better than this.

The B&B is on a highway, set back far enough, the traffic cannot be heard. The highway traffic is more like a country road. Noise in this area is more likely the cows or foxes in the distance. The hosts are welcoming and if you wanted to be left alone, you simply sit in one of the many available areas, there are lots! Although, I highly recommend chatting with the hosts, they are charming. Traveling is about the opportunity to enjoy and explore the area and what it has to offer, B&B stays are about enjoying the opportunity to meet the locals and make new friends. The home is unique, charming and welcoming.
