Overall I would say that this location works well if you are only staying for a weekend and don't plan to actually cook your own meals. It's cute and close to the beach. However, if you want to do any cooking you would be better off with another place that has a better-equiped kitchen. I would also say that, although the air conditioning seems sufficient, the lack of heating was an issue on cool nights. We did not feel comfortable leaving the space heater on at night and only had one. so we had to double up on blankets as it got quite cold. The bathroom was also small, the water pressure in the shower was very weak and the room could use better ventilation in the shower. What I said to my husband is, although the suite was aesthetically upgraded, what was really needed was more outlets, better plumbing, better ventilation, and a better HVAC system. Those things are harder to update in an old motel, but the lack of updates in those areas was definitely noticeable.
(I will add the caveat that we are used to staying in suites at places like Westin and Sheraton.)

Each of our suites is different, and some furniture that one has may not be available in another. We do our best to accommodate everyone, so we encourage you, during booking, to ask about your room and its appointments. Our rooms do have heat, and it's quite good. The remote that comes with the system can switch the unit to this mode. Change for the washer and dryer is available in the office from our friendly manager. They are also happy to provide additional dishes and crockery as needed. Cooking equipment from our suites often goes missing and we replace it, but it seems like your room was overlooked this time, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We hope you'll come back and stay with us again! We believe that our amazing staff, awesome location, and charming, historical property are good reasons to pick us over the larger hotels and resorts.

Stayed over spring break with my friend and our two pre-teen daughters. prior to arriving had to call for various reasons and was always greeted cheerfully by Lisa who was super helpful. The location can’t be beat as it is just a block to the beach and is in a quieter residential neighborhood. The motel itself is old but is kept spotless and is updated with modern touches as well as keeping some of its nostalgia. Many cute outdoor spaces to sit with turf green and colorful touches. I don’t think I saw one piece of paper or trash anywhere on the grounds the entire time. There are 3 pools accessible- one was teeming with children and pool toys etc. the other two pools we had almost to ourselves every time which was awesome. But again Even the one full of kids was somehow kept spotless. The other thing I liked which may be nitpicky is that people didn’t hang their towels all over the place outside to dry. I don’t know if they don’t allow this but i can’t stand to see motels riddled with people’s towels and bathing suits hanging off balconies. The only downside I would say to staying here is that there is not a lot of staff available in person. For instance one morning I was out of complimentary coffee and there was nobody at the office but i learned if you just call , Lisa or Melissa are right there to assist on the property. Our room was not serviced by housekeeping probably due to Covid so we had to request towels extra toilet paper etc. many times which was somewhat inconvenient but it was delivered to our room quickly. Also recommend bringing beach towels. Luckily the pool towel distribution was right by our door but many times they were out of towels so it was good we had ours for back up Would definitely stay here again. Beware of the other larger hotels Who charge a resort fee for a run down property and can charge more because they’re directly on the beach. I’ve been coming to St Pete since I was a child and this property is one of my favorites thus far for the price. (note you don’t need a car as there are souvenir shops, tons of restaurants, bars etc all in walking distance)

St Pete Beach is a cute little beach town and this hotel is no exception. The suites are large, fitting 4 people comfortably with a reasonably well stocked kitchen. The rooms, pool and ground are well kept and clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast on the weekends was a nice surprise. I spent a week at St Pete Beach Suites. I chose this location because of Price and the fact that it was rated 8.9 on a 10 point scale on booking.com (Southwest). This is very confusing because this review is being done on Trip Advisor which is a 5 point scale. How this translates to booking.com I do not understand.
The room was clean and the pool area was nice. The foam beds with no box springs close to the ground are not sufficient for elderly individuals. In addition there were no pans and minimal pots, silverware, and dishes in the kitchen. I could not clean the floors because no broom/dustpan was provided. The internet was terribly slow and kept requiring you to login.
To summarize you get what you pay for. Everything was only average and the facility I stayed in was severely over rated on booking.com.
Finally we were there during the most recent hurricane that was downgraded to a tropical storm. The place was deserted. After 3-4 days I found out that there are several new suites that are ready to open. We were placed in the "old" area. I suggest booking the newest suites if you elect to stay there. With no malice I can honestly say I would not stay there again.

Thank you for your feedback, Rick. We are sad to hear that your stay with us didn't meet the expectations laid out by our high review scores. We have an enthusiastic fan base and our team works very hard to deliver 5/5 or 10/10 experiences to every guest, but we understand that everyone has their own taste and preference, and it seems like we just didn't click with you. This is the first time we've heard a complaint about our relatively low beds, but we will keep it in mind and see if we can find a solution for guests like yourself. Your other complaints confuse us a bit, because in all of our team's interactions with you, they don't recall any of these issues (kitchenware, broom, internet) being mentioned. We wish that they had been, because these are easy fixes that would have been solved in a hurry! Our new suites are actually a completely separate hotel. In order to be placed there, you have to book for the Villas at St. Pete Beach specifically. We are glad that you enjoyed your tour of those Villas, but we are sad to hear that you felt that the comparison was not flattering to our Suites and decided to reflect that in your score. Being a local St. Pete Beach resident St. Pete Beach Suites was a hidden gem. It ticked all the boxes for the location of our family reunion - I started planning a year out to guarantee we could get all the rooms needed and Stefani and Stephen were so wonderful, personable, patient, and accommodating to work with throughout my planning phase. They did everything possible to make the checking in process for the group efficient and streamlined. The Beach House provided a perfect gathering place for the weekend and all of the suites were well equipped and spacious. The location is ideally located within walking distance of many restaurants, Corey Avenue, and most of all the beach. Once you are there a car is not required if you stay local. The heated pool was clean and an ample supply of pool toys were available poolside, as well as lovely cabanas. Thank you for all you did for us to make it a successful weekend and wonderful memories.

Being from Atlanta I travel to Tampa a lot. St. Pete Beach Suites has become my only go to for accommodations and i’ve stayed at a lot of different places in the past. To start, the cleanliness is what you would expect from a ritz Carlton. The rooms are so modern with great decor and the bedrooms are huge. I could literally stay inside all day and be more than content. It feels just like your own home. The amenities are awesome. Having a pool (they have 2) is such a convenience factor when coming back from the beach and the complementary bikes are the icing on the cake as riding them really adds that level of satisfaction while you’re on vacation. Not to mention how overly welcoming the staff is. They genuinely care for your ultimate satisfaction from the time you check in until the time you leave. They make this place stand out from the crowd even more than it already does. There are so many places to grab food or drinks from within walking distance if you don’t feel like making your in the beautiful kitchen. Being dog friendly is awesome because we like to travel with our little guys. And the proximity to the beach is the best. A quick stroll less than the size of a football field separates you from this amazing hotel and the beautiful beach. Easily my top spot in St Pete. They’ve earned my stay over and over again.

My family booked several rooms for a destination wedding and we were very happy with our stay. Each morning we woke up to find clean common areas and the chairs replaced in the pool area; it was evident the staff was hard at work. We didn’t use the housekeeping svcs for room cleaning but they were readily avail for fresh towels and linens whenever we asked. The site also offers free use of bikes, pool toys, towels, etc. The rooms aren’t glitzy but they are comfy and great for families.

We usually stay in Marriott’s and Hiltons and since there weren’t any in our price range with a beachfront, we rolled the dice with St. Pete Beach Suites (isn’t that so much fun to say?!). We whole-heartedly were so pleased and left wanting to make it an annual family trip back to this motel. We stayed in one of their pool side, family suites with a kitchenette and was just perfect. Using Walmart delivery was easy since you can type in the address and room number and Walmart will bring your groceries right to your door!
They were quick to change sheets, bring new towels, come vacuum, etc. and were always friendly. The best part is that since we flew to FL, we didn’t bring any necessary beach items such as chairs, wagon, toys, bikes, etc.—and they had everything for us to borrow! The beach is less than a five minute walk and really the best location in St. Pete. Ice cream parlors (3 of them), restaurants, surf and trinket shop, and public transportation are right down the street, easy to walk to. I recommend it to everyone with kids who love to explore the beach and love pool time but doesn’t want to break the bank. Very clean, easy to navigate and really intimate setting. We had a great time, thanks St. Pete Beach Suites!

My sister and I are from Boston and we flew down for a weekend getaway. You are only a parking lot away from the beach, there is a heated pool (Which was AMAZING), and you can get to the beach bars by just walking along the beach. Even walking home at night we felt very safe. The rooms were clean and renovated. We liked the kitchen that has a full fridge and freezer so you can store drinks or leftovers. Chic and beach themed. The only complaints we had were 1) the wifi was spotty being on the second floor and 2) the complimentary breakfast on Saturday and Sunday were really more like snacks. Your better off going out to breakfast. Paradise Grill is right across the street on the beach that has a suburb breakfast and cocktails. Or just a 2 min walk to Waffle House. They send you an email a week before with all their amenities, things they offer and things that you should bring which I found very helpful. I haven't seen pother hotels do that so I liked that a lot.

Everything we read about them last year, we booked sight unseen, was exact. So perfect we went back this year and have already booked for next year. You are literally a half block from the beach. There are 2 pools and one is heated as it can get a little chilly in the winter. You are within 2 or 3 walking blocks from 4-6 places to eat and the prices are great at all of them.
The staff is EXCEPTIONAL!!! My favorite is Stephanie. She runs the place and she is ON THE BALL and sweet and very accommodating. Rooms are very clean and taken care of by an amazing staff. Maintenance always there ready to help. They supply many things that most places don't. Coffee, cleaning products, etc. They are just so wonderful and again, we are going back next year.

We saw a sign saying the pool closed at either dusk or 10pm, not 100%, but I know it’s not 24hr
The suite I stayed in did not have a gulf view, to be honest I don’t believe it is close enough to the gulf for any of the suites to have a view but I am not 100% certain. It is within walking distance just a different property in between. We brought our own chairs and umbrella, but I believe they did have ones you can borrow and set up yourself as well as wagons to tote everything. They had bicycles available for guests to use also. It’s really a cute place and walking distance to everything around.
