This hotel has direct access to the beach and has bus and trolley stops outside
The lobby is designed to reflect Art Deco and is welcoming. The rooms, however, leave a lot to be desired. They have walls like paper and conversations from adjoining rooms are easily heard. They need to be given some TLC We moved from one room as the bathroom was so damaged. The next wasn’t much better
Our room was at the front of the hotel and the road noise was pretty consistent
During one day of our stay there was no water at all. Guests weren’t told in any proactive way. We found out that there was no water when we were unable to shower and that we were to go to the Holiday Inn If we needed to use the bathroom by over hearing another guest

We made our reservation through Priceline and our confirmation said that breakfast was included at no additional charge. Well when we arrived for breakfast our first morning there was a $12 per person charge - the desk clerk was very rude and said it was Priceline's fault for wrong info. I feel that if the hotel allows 3rd party to "sell" their rooms that the hotel should monitor the info that is on those sites for correct information. Overall the desk clerks were very rude and acted like answering a question was a problem for them. They offered no info when we checked in. I had to ask about where to park and she then said oh - well you can park in our lot for $34 a night. I asked what other options and was told I could park on the street and feed the meter every 2 hours. The gentlemen who helped with our luggage were nice and gave us tips about how to get around and that coffee was in the lobby all day and other good info. The desk staff offered none of that. Will never stay at this hotel again and will not recommend to anyone.

We notified the hotel that we would be arriving late at night after a day of work and traveling. We booked and paid for a room with a king-size bed through Expedia, but were given a room with 2 double beds, and one of our keys didn’t work. The front desk switched us to the correct room, and we unpacked while deciding where to get a late night bite. (The front desk person also wasn’t sure if there was a restaurant downstairs, or if it was open late.) That was when we realized that our door didn’t lock. So after making a second trip to the front desk they said someone would come up to fix our door between 7 and 8AM. When no one arrived we called the front desk and they didn’t know anything about it. (So keep in mind now, we arrived at 2AM hungry and tired, had nothing to eat since we couldn’t leave our room with the door unable to lock, and then were asked to get up at 7 to greet a maintenance person that never arrived.) After we called, maintenance showed up quickly and fixed our door. Huzzah.
Then at checkout they said we were checking out early and that our reservation was for two more days. They didn’t know who we were because the name on our reservation was wrong. Then we looked at our credit card statement and discovered that they charged us (on top of our full payment through Expedia) $879! They refunded us, but the refund wouldn’t go through for a week—thank god it wasn’t a debit card and drawing from our bank account! When we asked for a receipt that reflected the refund they refused. So, here’s hoping we get our money back!
Also, the website insinuates that breakfast is included; it’s not. The rooms are fine, the furniture is new, but cheap. The shower is poorly designed so you get sprayed in the face when you turn on the water and it splashes water everywhere. After such a bad experience with checking in and checking out it would have been a nice gesture to offer breakfast or beach chairs or something, but no effort was made to rectify the situation. We were so disappointed with every interaction with the staff. I would stay in the Hampton Inn or the Best Western down the street before I’d stay here again.

First I wanted to Thank the receptionist Yaremy, she was very helpful and friendly. The floor 5 th was renovated but the bathroom was kind of small. They had an inside safe and they didn’t charge anything for it. The hotel was just beside the beach and they had a nice swimming pool in the backyard.The number 150 bus to the airport stop just outside the hotel. Please have exactly change 2:25 pr person..

Everything in this hotel is horrific. From the Non-existent water pressure to the Filthy rooms that don’t get cleaned to the hotel staff is very rude. People that stay here are the type to dance drunk at the pool with open bottles of hard liquor while smoking. NO ONE paid any attention to the requirements of wearing masks inside. And the desk staff will do absolutely nothing if you call them about...drunk folk in the hallways yelling at 2am. Literally made it impossible to sleep at night. Some pictures of the room WHEN WE WALKED IN attached. No daily cleanings, and cleaning staff don’t wear masks. We had two rooms, same condition in both. Had to tip $$$ to get rooms next to each other, because “we don’t hold rooms” - hotel was at less than 50% occupancy.

Expensive for the service you get: old furniture et floors, the carpet in the hall looks really disgusting, tiny bathroom, poorly isolated and paper thin walls (you barely sleep because of the noise of the street but also of your neighbours), no fridge in the room, no lights into the walkin closet making it useless). It was clean and well cleaned the next morning. Cleaning personnel is nice.
Elevators are soooo slow and there seems to be no service elevator thus you often have to wait the following one because its already full of a laundry basket and it’s smiling owner.
The pool is big and clean.
Watch out the unexpected charges! We booked for 2 nights and had no plan to go to the beach. we had been told at the check in that 2 beach chairs and a parasol where included in our reservation but it was not. We had to pay 66$ extra charge (for 2 days) without using it. The manager just answered that it was a mandatory charge and that we would be charged even if we did not agree! She was incredibly rude with us and took a picture of our reservation on her employee computer in case we would make any trouble with the payment. Then she left without a world. No apologies for the lack of transparency, nor any compensation. Just absolute rudeness.
The parking of the hotel is also super expensive: 34$/night.
Breakfast is 23$/adult & 10$/kid and you take it in an eating room located in an underground floor. Dark and not fun. Breakfast was ok though.
If you’re in Miami Beach to party, you will be quiet far from South Beach (15min by car). If you are there with your family, it’s not the best hotel you could have because of the noise.
If you hesitate between several accommodations, just forget this one.

We stayed here for 10 days. They do not have breakfast buffet, no coffee,no restaurant, elevators don’t work half the time, keys don’t work every day. The tiki bar is never open and the staff sucks literally. Only good thing about this hotel is it’s on the beach, they do not provide chairs and it’s very costly to rent them. Wifi never worked, without power for 6 hours. We were supposed to be put in ocean front room and was literally lied to from the staff including the general manager. We were told house keeping didn’t work week ends.. this is in short!

Had a great stay, awesome location right on the beach, perfect spot for families so kids can run around. Watch out for jelly fish yhough my boy got stung. If your buying your hotel from a third party site, expedia, priceline etc. and you choose a roomwith breakfast, it will not be included. We went down to get vouchers for breakfast the first morning and the front desk said they dont honor breakfasts bought through expedia and this has been a problem for awhile now. We ended up having to walk down the street to a cafe to get breakfast at around $40 for the four of us. I called expedia to complain and they were completely understanding about everything and even reimbursed us the entire cost of our hotel for the one night. Would definitely stay here again but would not book breakfast.

Rooms were remodeled in 2014 so although the hotel is old the bed was comfortable.
Service was slow at the beach bar.
Prices were good and the food was decent but the auto gratuity was not disclosed so the bartender was being double tipped. No itemized print out of the bills so the gratuity was hidden in the total price.

Location is perfect. Pool was very clean and had plenty of seats available. Beach bar was open and seemed fine. Steps away from the beach. Each room gets a pass for two lounge chairs on the beach and an umbrella. Each additional lounge chair is $10 and they are very strict with it. We were on floor ten and it was renovated. Very clean, basic, met our needs. No odors, no bugs (those had been mentioned in other reviews). Many walkable locations from here: CVS, pizza shops, breakfast locations. We had no issues at all and would book here again!
