Left Florida in August and made VT our final destination to see the beautiful trees and revisit some old favorites. Had spot 67, last year 68...the park is serene and peaceful with mountain views. Although close to the road, noise is not bad at all. Just so relaxing, we love it there and the beautiful town of Stowe and visited many surrounding towns. Went up to the Von Trapp Lodge twice, the views were spectactular!!!! The road in to the park is very rough (hard on an RV towing a car). The bathrooms are very good and the laundry only has one washer and dryer . Most definitely will return.!!! WE had a 37'RV with 3 slides, towing a car. Due to the Covid issue, only saw the owner, Naomi once (she's a sweetheart)

We are traveling thru the US and chose this campground for our stop in Vermont. The owner is pretty grumpy and not very welcoming. We came in October, not crowded, so the kids had plenty of room to run and the view was great.

I have been reading some pretty negatives reviews about Gold Brook Campground and wanted to add my two cents. I have been camping there for years and it is always a place we choose when we want to go to a nice quiet place in a lovely setting. It is a no frills campground, but has a nice pool and the grounds are always immaculate. I don't use the bathrooms but they appear to be adequate. There is a no-rug rule which we don't like, but we have run into this in many places. The owner is a crusty old Vermonter but is actually a pretty nice guy and if you obey the rules he will leave you alone and try to accommodate you as best he can. I would recommend it to both older folks and families. There is of course lots to see and do in Stowe.

We made a three day reservation, then outside of Albany our RV had a breakdown. We were not able to get repairs done in time to make our reservation. This was totally out of our control, yet the campground kept the full payment of three nights, not refunding any portion. I would not recommend any business that is so unreasonable and greedy.

We just had our second annual trip to Goldbrook Campground and absolutely loved it, again! The site was spacious, the pool was incredibly clean and our two year old loved walking all around the massive grounds. The small river is an added bonus. My parents came down for dinner one night and we found a little raspberry patch in the field. They delivered firewood and added in newspaper! We will return every single year!

The worst campground experience we've ever had. Staff is the Rudest I have Ever encountered. Very over priced. Rude on the phone, even ruder in person. Not at all a True Vermont experience. The No Refunds No Exceptions sign in the office should have been our first clue. Sites right on busy Route 100. Traffic kept the kids awake. Very out dated and Very dirty. Owner was abusive drunk. Had his groundskeeper who resembled a hungover Lurch Bellow at the children for playing on the grass. Staff Very unfriendly. Not helpful. Thought it funny to give wrong directions to Ben & Jerry's Factory. Wifi did not work. Pay shower did not work. No money back! And after we checked out we stopped at the Coke machine only to be yelled at by the groundskeeper that the machine was only for campers staying there and we needed to leave. Will NEVER stay here again. Would recommend you keep driving right by!

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend. The person on the phone for reservations was rude. When my husband called to say we would be arriving late, the person on the phone said no problem but when we arrived, it was a different story. Very short and rude. The pool was out of service due to a chemical problem, which my kids were bummed about. The grounds are very clean and sites are large but not sure this is enough to stay here again. The owner also would not take cash for our payment, stating credit cards are less hassle for him. Fire wood is expensive. We, however, did not have issues when other family members came to visit for a BBQ. There was only maybe 6 other campers/tents in the place and those my husband spoke to said they had the same experience with the owner.

Stayed for 4 nights in a 25' travel trailer. We really enjoyed this campground as it was very clean and green. Was lucky to get a 20 amp site with water right next to the brook that was away from the road, site 21 to be exact. There are no sites with sewer hookups along brook. Wasn't busy but if it was sites might be a little tight. Bathrooms are a little outdated but worked. The pool was clean, had a nice playground, and a large lawn for doing whatever. The proximity to Stowe was great. If the bathrooms were newer would have given 5 stars. John, the owner, was nicer than others mentioned. If you are arriving after 9 call them the day of your arrival to make arrangements, which we did, and it wasn't an issue.

I made a stop here because I’d heard nice things about Stowe. This was an okay Campground- lots of space. The bathroom that I used seemed like it had had better days. This is not a bad Campground at all; it’s just that I’ve stayed in better.

We must have caught the owner on a good day. We didn't have the same experience we've read in the reviews. He was a typical dry Vermonter. He was informative, to the point and efficient. Not overly friendly...but certainly not rude. The grounds were basic but perfectly acceptable. We were in an RV so we didn't really experience the bathhouse, but the pump out was easy and accessible. We had a great little spot next to the brook. There was a little fire pit and we very much enjoyed our stay. Our 5-year old grandson really enjoyed the playground! We will most certainly come again. No issues at all.
