We took a package from a local tour agency and WBR is a part of that package. Can be categorized as Inn and not as a hotel. Light fixtures on the toilet in our room is dimming to none, television is ancient and not working. AC is ok as well as the beddings. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Food and other items near the beach are pricey so better plan your expenses or better yet buy from the market for consumable goods. Restaurant foods are ok as well as the beach activities. Though we support local tourism I agree with some reviews here that some vendors and other service providers are a little bit annoying (but nice approach) so this area/location is not for people who wishes peace and quiet ME time. Definitely a place to go back :)

Haha, this must definitely be the worst and most sober room i have ever seen but then again you get what you pay for.
The toilet area is shocking. To turn the shower on you need pliers to turn the handle. The water out of the tap in the bathroom does not reach the bowl. The ac nearly falls of the wall. There is a bird with a nest practically in the room on top of the ac. The windows are not sound proof.
But there are some good things, the bed was ok. The bed is actually the only thing in the room. The view from our room was great overlooking white beach. Also booking was very easy and no hassle if you cant pay straight away.
The room is cheap only 1250 pesos a night and that for beachfront is good considering all the not so good. So if you only use the room for sleeping its actually pretty ok.
o yes, dont expect the wifi to work and good luck finding staff.

The resort was like a tenement block. It was extremely near the beach -the only plus.
The pillows were extremely stinky, the family room looked more like a prisoner's quarters. It was extremely warm despite the aircon. Would not go back there. Kids were extremely unhappy with the room.

I was referred by a friend to stay in white beach resort. We were handled by a local named Ate Inday. She gave us a room for 2 days for 2500 php. Telling us it was the cheapest. The room was small, stinky and the toilet was not working. There were no outlets and there is no wi-fi connections. They even threatened that if there was a stain in there sheets, you will be charged for 2500, such a scam.
When we asked our money back, she told us that we have to pay 800 for cancellation fee. Just to shut them up we paid 300 for vat. (They said that they have issued the reciept and the 12% vat had to be paid). This was not convincing at all.
After I got our money back, Ate Inday was shouting, telling everyone that we refused to pay.
Just want to enjoy my vacation, we just left with our money.
I want to share this message, to free everyone from the abusing conduct these people did with us. Stay away from White Beach Resort in White Beach, Galera.

Location is superb, but:
Room was dirty and lacked amenities promised on web site.
Only cold water in shower.
When we checked out after 1 night, staff began to threaten us: we must pay for 3 extra nights+ towel rack (which was already broken) etc....
We just left and never looked back. We found a really nice place at the same beach: Sea View Divers (http://www.seaviewdive.com/).

If we really had known better, we probably would have chosen a different hotel, it gave us everything we need in general like beds, bathroom and air conditioning plus the cable TV but I feel like they could have done better, I think the place is falsely advertised, its nothing like the pictures you see which looks spacious and all that jazz the path to the hotel was kind of a wall to wall thing.
Airconditioning was good, we all slept good, but the water in the bathroom was a bit weak and the heater doesnt quite work, It gave us everything we need but comfy wise, I think I would choose a different hotel next time.
If you're really not choosy and you dont complain a lot, this is the place for you. but for other people thats not satisfied with an "okay" review, this would probably be a terrible place to stay for you, plus, the place is always out of ice not to mention it being hot there in the summer. VERY HOT.
I had an okay experience, I'm probably still coming back to Puerto Galera, but probably choose a different hotel next time.

We were accommodated this April 2014. Bed sheets very old and faded, towels never changed for 3 days. They don't even bother to clean-up rooms, hallways, common alleys nor bug spray their rooms. Hazardous open wired showers, broken doorknobs, black ants infested tabletop & floors, mosquitoes infested, peeled walls, very old air-conditioners, rusted sinks and faucets, super noisy neighbors, very loud staffs, uncourteous receptionist (receptionist treat you as if you're a bedspacer (nakikitira, as if you are literally begging for a place to stay at a high cost, not as a hotel guest). Price is different when you book online and more expensive when you walk-in. I don't know why. You're gonna be charge extra for little favors like re-heating food for 5mins in a microwave, you be charged P100 for a drinking water refills, P5 per cup of hot water for coffee. HUH? The receptionists very obnoxious, rude, uncourteous to guests boasting "Of course you need to pay cause you are using our electricity though for 5 mins microwave!". Whitebeach hotel staffs personally recommending other hotels nearby that are cleaner if you are complaining (What the ____???) If you enjoy inhospitable, unwelcoming staffs, no service, dirty, disgusting, rustic, crude attitude receptionist, go to this place.

no hot shower in standard room, leaking taps, toilet flush not working!
other than these petty issues, i feel the stay here is not idea if you wanna feel like a beach get away..on the left hand corner of the beach there are much better & beutiful properties at cheaper rates...bamboo huts with nice gardens, hammocks, etc...
even the food at the restaurant is quite bad. thumbs down!
none of the rooms offer ocean view

We booked a family room. You'll be lucky if you get 2 toilet rolls and an extra towel. Towels are thin and small, so girls, forget about drying your hair. Bathroom was dirty and no place to put your toiletries. No shower curtain and no hooks to hang anything. The drainage had an awful smell and it stayed there. Room was in very bad condition and there was no housekeeping service. Who knows maybe we slept on old sheets. There was one duplex socket (for the TV and electric fan is plugged there) don't charge your electronics, you'll be fine. The owner just does not seem to care how their rooms are being maintained. I get it that this is a budget hotel but it only takes so little to care about your guests.
You'll be able to walk White Beach shore for 2-minutes, all hotels are so accessible to the beach, stay somewhere else.

It was an impromptu trip to PG after our Naga flight was cancelled. I was born and raised in Lipa City but has never been to Puerto Galera so I figured this is the best opportunity to visit. My friend and I went to the port not really knowing what part of PG to visit. The lady selling ferry tickets recommended White Beach. When we checked in, we were approached by a woman asking if we have booked a hotel. Big mistake not to research the hotel first. The woman wasn't lying when she said the room has A/C and hot water. When we checked in, we saw it was a big room with 2 double (or maybe queen) beds, with really thin bed cover and almost sheer flat sheet. No blanket or comforter. They provided small bath towels. The bathroom was big but not quite clean. There was a small roach on the shower floor. No shower curtain. The towel bar and shower curtain rods were covered in rust. The water coming from the shower was stinky, so needless to say no hot shower for us. And the water coming from the faucet smelled like rust.
The power was on and off the whole afternoon. So we thought it was going to continue through the night so we set the A/C to high cool. Well, the power stayed on through the night and with really thin bed sheet, it was freezing!
Anyway, I will definitely not stay at this hotel again.

Their Credit Card Machines are unavailable as well as ATM. So I suggest before going to the place bring enough money as food is not cheap there.
there is a small cemented pathway that you can use to explore different food stalls, however the pathway is also used by the people walking, the pathway can only accommodate 2-3 people walking at the same time, and its in front of the food stalls, so its quite difficult for someone on wheel chair.
