At check in my room was not quite ready they had shampooed the carpet and they were still a little damp. They upgraded me to a larger room with a separate bedroom and kitchen, which was awesome the hotel is clean and modern. Been coming here for almost 15 years, love it!

My friend recommended 7 Springs Inn & Suites a long time ago and honestly I was never interested in staying there because it wasn't a Hilton or Marriott. He said it was a very romantic hotel and that is was real cute for couples so we decided to give it a try. We went the weekend before Christmas for a quick getaway & alone time before spending the next week at different homes of our families & friends. It was such a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived until the time we checked out. Jessica made us feel so welcomed, she checked us in and was also the one who checked us out of our room. She was a happy & sweet young lady who greeted us with a huge & inviting smile. She quickly checked us in and gave us a summary of the grounds and amenities at the resort. She also gave us a nice upgrade to a suite which is like a whole 1 bedroom apartment complete with a full kitchen that included silverware, glasses & dishes. There were even wine glasses to enjoy the wine we brought with us. The bedroom and living room were huge and the living room also had a sofa bed. The grounds were so beautiful and kept up very nicely. There were jacuzzis that looked so inviting I was a little upset I didn't bring my bathing suit. Although it seems to be far from downtown it actually wasn't. A quick walk or even quicker drive will get you there. Parking is free & there was plenty of parking. There was free coffee & tea set up at registration desk which I thought was a nice gesture. Vending machines are also outside offering a good variety snacks and drinks including healthy options. BBQ grills and picnic areas were available for use and they were nice and clean. I think I even saw a laundry room onsite. Overall I would highly recommend this resort. This will be my new go to spot this summer so I can finally take advantage of the pool & BBQ area.

Stayed here for 4 nights and there’s quite a bit to report on....

The good: could be decent value given even mediocre hotels in Palm Springs seem pricey now. The retro courtyard style of the hotel is exactly what you’d expect in PS rather than a generic chain hotel. The second room was decent, more on that later. Giant hot tub was nice. Pretty good location close to town. So nice not to have all the extra resort fees, parking fees etc that other hotels in the area charge.

The bad: the first room we were given (118) was nasty. It was old, tired and run down. The carpet looked badly stained, it wasn’t particularly clean, walls were beat up, no room at all in the bathroom to store anything. We listed one night before asking to change rooms. The upgraded room for $20 a night was much much better but still needed a lot of maintenance. The toilet didn’t flush properly, the shower head was spraying water everywhere etc. The full kitchen was nice. Then friends arrived for the weekend and we’re also given room 118. They were also not willing to sleep in that room and request to change rooms was accommodated. Make sure you get an updated room...

The ugly: there were at least 2 rooms where seriously sketchy people were hanging out. People that were obviously up to no good with lots of different people coming and going into the rooms, including some young girls. Eesh.

We booked a luxury to queen room, it was nice comfortable clean. The shower had good water pressure, the beds were extremely comfortable, and despite the AC locked on a low of 72° it was enjoyable. The placating is ideal as it’s only a couple blocks from the start of the main downtown corridor.

Our trip went downhill rather quickly, on day 2. There is only one pool and one large Jacuzzi, the pool is the size of a single family home residential pool and considering it’s 100+ out the Jacuzzi was not appealing. The hotel has 50 rooms so in itself the pool size is insufficient. We were at the pool with approximately 12 other people went two couples joined early afternoon and began to blast music on their JBL, drinking heavily and overtook the pool along with their giant inflatable flamingo tube. One family got up and left shortly after another couple along with a single woman. By 5pm we had enough. Once back from dinner, the drunken obnoxious sh%t show at the pool continued.

Day 3, you can’t make this up…the same 2 couples, along with a new family of 5 were competing at the pool for who could have the loudest music on their JBL speakers, most were wearing street clothes in the pool and actively eating. I reached out to the front desk but despite saying they would address the noise level the gal never said a word and you could here the music at the lobby doors!

There were also no room cleaning services provided to us during our stay, understood if that is the new protocol but the front desk gentleman failed to mention that upon check-in.

There was nothing quiet or peaceful about the courtyard. This boutique hotel has so much potential but management definitely needs to put in place some rules and regulations so that all guests enjoy themselves. At $200/might + we expected the quality of our stay be much better.

I can’t recommend staying at this hotel, if you are looking for a room in the price range I suggest Triada, if you can increase your budget try Ingleside…classy, quiet, respectful guests in our experience.

7 Springs could be a real gem of a motel but it falls far short of it's potential.
Our 2 double queen upstairs rooms were grungy and stained and smelled awful (really awful.)
An old, musty, rancid smell has permeated everything.

Although our rooms were a good size with seating area, large TV, frig & microwave, they both were GRIMY throughout, especially at light switches and other high touch areas.

With stains on seating cushions we thought the white sheeted beds would be a better place to sit.
That is, until we did... and clouds of dust motes filled the room.
(I'm not exaggerating!)

The bathroom vanity lights were dusty and rusty. The shower head sputtered lukewarm water without much force.

Given the rest of the room, I didn't dare use the coffeemaker & cups or bathroom glasses.

3 days later, as we continue our travels, after only a 1 night stay at 7 Springs, it's stink is still in my sweater, my backpack & contents, on my suitcase and worst of all, still in my CPAP machine.

7 Springs is well located with an iconic facade, a secure layout, mid-century styling in the public areas, pretty landscaped grounds with two pools and large rooms. It could be so much more than the smelly, grubby motel it is today.

To the motel owners: Renovations that don't include a complete tearout down to bare walls and floors (including AC/heating,) with an odor blocking treatment on remaining surfaces, are a waste of money.

We made this booking for 3 nights, arriving Sunday April 11th, 2021 and departing Wednesday April 14th, 2021. When making the reservation we requested a quiet location room as this was to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, our first getaway since 2019 due to covid19. So, as you can imagine we were excited to return to Palm Springs and to the hotel where we have stayed before some years ago.

We were given room number 118, not a very nice room, a dirty stained carpet, furniture that was well worn and a bathroom that needed a good makeover.

It was evident that the people in room 117 liked to have their TV extra loud as we could hear it pretty much above our TV volume and hear it even with earplugs in. Unfortunately, this continued throughout the night, they did not turn it off, we could hear them in and out all night standing outside, smoking and talking on their phones and basically disturbing the peace. My wife wanted to speak to the manager the next morning, but he was not available before we went out for the day.

Unfortunately, upon our return Monday afternoon we realized the noise makers were still there as we could hear their TV and they were again in and out every few minutes standing outside our room. We wanted to make the most of the evening and headed out, upon return it was crazy in their room with shouting and their TV noise. By 10pm we went over to see the night manager to complain and asked to be moved, he said he would speak to the people in the room, why he could not just move us we do not know. It would have prevented the nightmare to come.

Unfortunately, I guess that just made things a lot worse, the noise continued and by about 1am they were outside every 10 minutes outside our window and leaning on our door yelling on the phone. So, at 2am I went back over to the office not realizing it closed at midnight and there was no one to report this bizarre behavior going on, we even tried the 0 on the phone hoping we could leave a message but to no avail. We were getting genuinely concerned about our safety and what was happening as obviously these people were on drugs and drug dealing was going on as at 4am someone came banging on our door to be let in, the men were let into 117 with more shouting and raised voices.

It was extremely frightening to have to go through this, why were people allowed to get on the property who were not staying there without a key card? it was certainly made even more frightening as the hotel had no security to deal with any of this and no one to report this to as it happened after midnight.

After the door incident at 4am we basically packed our bags dressed and waited for 8am to come around so we could just leave. When I explained this to the young man at the desk, Tuesday morning he said for us to contact the manager of the hotel to explain what transpired I was told if we left, I would still be charged for the third night we had originally booked, but there was no way we would spend any more time there so we left and headed home. This was a nightmare that I hope never to endure ever again. I have since contacted the manager of the hotel without any response which does not surprise me.

I would just recommend anyone to go someplace safer and cleaner.

The year was 1965. Palm Springs' initial heyday as playground to Hollywood stars was ending. Those that could not afford the fancy accomodations VIPs patronized flocked instead to the city’s numerous modest motels built around swimming pools That included my family; my first Palm Springs visit was at a motel reminiscent of the original structure serving as the basis for the current 7 Springs.

Fifty-seven years later, I am no longer a child. Palm Springs has regained much of its old mojo, which means that the fancy accommodations my family could not afford in 1965 remain at an elevated price point in high season. The motel my family patronized is long gone, but 7 Springs represents an updated take on the ‘60s motel.

The updating is largely a success. There are two pool areas with comfortable seating. (We spent time in one waiting for our room to be ready; it was a lot more pleasant than cooling our heels in the lobby.) Rooms have attractive entrances, trendy furnishings and decor, reliable wifi, and good quality toiletries. Notwithstanding that it was well maintained, our room still fit the template for a modest ‘60s motel and was not spacious; it had limited shelving space (including hardly any in the bathroom) and only one not especially comfortable chair. This was adequate for our one-night stay but those staying longer might find the limited space bothersome.

The property is well-situated. The central business district is about a 15 minute walk; within a few blocks are lots of home furnishing stores, several good (if not cheap) restaurants, two fine independent coffeehouses, and an exceptional tiki bar.

We were pleased with service at the hotel. Front desk hours are limited and it was not staffed when we had to leave a little before 8 am to catch our cab to the airport; this proved not to be a problem as our room was prepaid.

We needed a place to stay for one night and settled on 7 Springs because it was the most affordable room available. Friendly people and comfortable beds. Rooms are on two levels with common hallway so good for a family who needs two rooms. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Retro hotel but for the price it’s a decent deal. We had room 224 and I’d recommend asking for an alternative as this is right in front of the stairs so higher traffic area and some noise. We really enjoyed the courtyard and the warm/jacuzzi pool. Room has fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Bed was too soft for our style, but I like a firm mattress. Updates to hotel feel a little DIY but again price is right and we found distance to Main Street and restaurants mostly manageable. While in the area, for a short one hour drive is highly recommend the ladders trail too, that was worth the trip all in. I should also say Saturday night in Palm Springs was fun but Sunday night my hubs gave the place a phrase... “Palm Springs, was good in its prime”... as we struggled to find decen, stocked open restaurants.

The bedding is good. Slept ok. Currently staying here and not happy. On check in on Wednesday
had to change room due to first room was not clean. There were scuff marks and lipstick, chocolate, or some other substance in the carpet. I explained to Daniel and he graciously changed our room at no additional cost. New room has paint or some other substance on the wall. Thursday morning, the bathroom had a ROACH crawling on the wall. I told the front desk and they advised they would clean and treat the bathroom the next morning while we're here (We were on our way out when we reported the insect). I called today, Friday when we woke up for this to occur. The female whi answered said they are unwilling to service the room while we are in it. We are 2 women. Nothing is going to happen to the cleaning crew while we're in the room. The female who answered the front desk said that is their rule that they will not clean while we're in the room even though I was told different when I originally reported the issue. So 7 Springs is further inconveniencing us and not immediately rectifying the issue. So we plugged where they may be a possibility of roaches coming in the bathroom and noticed mold/mildew behind the sink. So just not a healthy pleasant experience or environment. Won't stay again.
