Stayed twice about one year apart at this property and differences were night and day. The hotel finally offers Wifi in the guest rooms and cleanliness seemed to have improved. My room featured high ceilings, a large window with good views of the container terminal, minifridge, and kettle with tea bags, though I didn't care for their tea. Contrasting my previous stay, the room now had a proper desk which made working much easier despite the compact size of the room. Only toiletries provided is shampoo from wall-dispenser in the shower. The bed is comfortable and overall the room was quiet. I don't know why, but this hotel is always very busy and there will be many people waiting for the lift and you'll likely need to stop on many floors on the way up and down. If you want to walk to the MTR it's a fairly long walk of at least 15 minutes, but the complex is served by minibus which will have queues at peak times. Dining options in the immediate vicinity of the property are not too extensive but the hotel restaurant of the adjacent Winland 800 hotel is good and reasonably priced. Staff is generally nice and tries to be helpful. Printing was charged at $10 per page. Putting aside the out of the way location, if you are looking for the cheapest stay possible in Hong Kong while a safe, full-service property with modern fixtures, this hotel is hard to beat.

Staycationed here for 3 nights. I was upon request given a room on high floor (27/F) with good views of container terminal and bridge.

The room is very basic, simple with wise design to increase surface area eg pulling table from wardrobe. One has to bring his own toiletries otherwise has to buy (I love this to save the earth). There's fridge (seem not functional), hangers, cups, green tea bags, disposable slippers, kettle. The room is small and with musty smell. When there're people next door or nearby smoking, I got it too. I think it came via the ventilation system🥵🤭 I have to keep the air conditioner on and high to reduce the nasty smell. Amidst this Covid-19 time, it's not a comfy experience to have such musty and smoky smell.

Hygiene condition is not desirable here. I could see the mold in the shower room. Bed is comfy and cleanliness of coverings/pillow a mere pass.

The location is not bad. There's a shopping arcade with some restaurants and a supermarket nearby. There're two minibuses going to Kwai Fong and Tsing Yi metro stations which have big malls, lots of restaurants, shops and cinemas. The ride is short, within 10 mins.

Not many choices of TV channels, mainly locals.

Guests are mostly, if not all, local people as tourists won't come in such coronavirus days. I believe this hotel used to serve mainland Chinese tourists.

There's a long long and good-looking swimming pool commonly shared by this hotel with the two hotels and the residential estates all next to it and belonging to same estate developer. Unfortunately the pool was not open yet during my stay.

Service so so. Didn't expect much.

Overall the price is great here, but you have to bear the undesirable hygene situation. At such price, I had ever and could stay in many other hotels which are much more tidy and clean in prime location.

The hotel itself is not too bad although it is very basic. Not much amenities si bring your own. The bathroom does not smell good- smells of urine. Only one plug do better to bring adaptor plug that’s good for a few gadgets. I needed to unplug the fridge in order to use my hairdryer. Nice view of the water though. The hotel voucher for breakfast is so little, not enough for anything. The hotel is very far from downtown so it will cost you a fortune for taxi fares.

The most pathetic place that one could ever find.
Rooms are very small and dirty. Furniture looks like 100years old. Tv is kept at bed level so not kid friendly. Used old soaps and shampoos are kept in the bathroom.

Isolated location with limited transport options unless you know how to move around like a local. Front desk said only one shuttle per day departs at 08:15am. I see a taxi here and there but I cannot seem to get one. Hotel rooms are basic but clean and decent but the location I am a stones throw from the magnificent HK skyline but am stuck over here like a prisoner.

For this money, u can't stay better in HK.
Not too small, easy, with good view. I have sit a long time in the window and view to the container Terminal, the 400m tall ships are crazy.

Big,huge mistake to get this hotel. Tremendous bed factory for mainland chinese hordes .(no other word, sorry) Really bad and not at all educated people who are noisy, smoke inside and outside the rooms,in front of your door and shout and yell the whole night ,and slam the doors frequently. They spit in the lifts and on any western moral and etiquette. There are more words for those people but TA would certainly not publish the review...so just imagine some adjectives and nouns...The hotel takes their money and does nothing but saying they are mainlanders....so what? 95 us for this hotel is a gigantic rip-off. This 30 -floor - and - like-400 rooms -cave would be immediately closed in any other place. In Australia it would never be open in the first place...but ok.Very unfriendly, rude, barbaric guests all that around your 10m2 room with 1985 tv and prison-like furniture. Australia network was the only good thing about the whole place.I should sue the operator for this disgusting place.. Something positive? i started a big scandal after two hours i tried to sleep and these people didnt let you..so you turn irritated and aggressive,,i demanded to talk to a supervisor,to get the money back .no money back, lots of apologies and i actually got a real room, yes they have it,nice to know ,on the other side of the building.like 23 m2 or 250sqft, double size, real windows and no barbaric hordes. After this i really felt ripped off even more.never again.this hotel is miserable.have you ever seen the movie metropolis from the 1920s? That is the atmosphere. Terrible, indeed.
Hmmm... Clean sheets and bathroom at least. Receptionist or would you call it Camp Kommandant?never smiling, what a huge difference to Bangkok where everyone was friendly and educated.....and then that view.....Sad,sad view to the dull container terminal. So grey, so melancholy-inspiring.Bahhhh... I booked for 3 days and cancelled after one ,even whe you have to pay 300 us and up for a real hotel. This is no hotel,friends...this is a prison camp . Do not go to this place, do youself a big favour.you will ruin and spoil 100% your holidays....for sure. A no no no no-go never ever even think of it-go -hotel:) for 15 us bearable for 100 us a scam.unbelievable.
Outstandingly bad !

Shuttle bus hv to pay. service- slow, unfriendly. facilities- there's facilities ? Dnt even see any. room-so small, I can't even cross properly to the other side of the room. The ceiling is so high up, for wht? Rather hv a bigger space to cross over. Will Nv stay at this place again, learnt my lesson. Not to take package like tht.

We booked this hotel when we found that my wife was dying from cancer and she had always wanted to see Hong Kong so this was supposed to be a final treat for her.
Our room was on the 27th floor and the room was small but very clean. The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful.
The down side ws that when we went to use the pool we were expected to pay $HK20 per day - that is not mentioned in the advertising. Something else that is not mentioned on their website is that the hotel overlooks one of the busiest container ports in Hong Kong and that the restaurant is in the hotel next door. We were kept awake the first few nights with the noise from the container port but we soon got used to it. What we did not get used to was the rudeness of the restaurant staffe - especially the maitre de and after a few days we decided to eat elsewhere - the service was poor, the staff rude - I do not think that having to wait 45 minutes for a menu is very good - and then another 45 minutes waiting to place our order before deciding to go eat elsewhere! The prices were very expensive also. The good thing was that there is an underground shopping mall just along the road and we ate breakfast in the Coral fast food restaurant, which was much cheaper, better cooked and the staff were friendly!!!
The other drawback to this hotel is the distance from the main Hong Kong attracions - it is out in the New Territories and as my wife was by this time frail we had to rely on taxis to go anywhere, but that is a minor concern.
The one thing I will say is that if you are brought up to respect people then do not expect it in Hong Kong where they seem to have no manners at all.

This is a terrible and unsafe hotel.
1. Another guest got into our room with an access card issued by the front desk around midnight. No explanation given until we asked about this the next day. They said "we thought you were sound asleep so didn't want to disturb you" (so the hotel thought they could get away with this unacceptable error - allocating the same hotel room to different guests- if we didn't ask).
2. The next day we were locked out of the room. They issued another card to us and asked us to go back and try, still didn't work. It's not until we asked them to come to our room to check, that the manager came with us. His card also didn't work. Only the cleaning lady's card worked. (It's not until after we checked out and called that they said we were locked out by the system due to incident 1).
3. As we were on 20/F and above and it took us a long time to take the lift/elevator to go back and forth to try the access card, we wanted to save time and called the hotel telephone number listed on the access card. No one picked up the phone. What if the hotel guest cannot go to the front desk personally to ask for help? (When we asked the front desk about that the next day they said the number does not work during weekend!)
4. We talked to the duty manager after he finally opened the door for us and asked for refund. As the complain and discussion took place on a sunday, the duty manager asked us to go back and rest in the room and that we should call and talk to their management on monday. He said as we booked the hotel room and paid all the fees via Agoda, they have to pay Agoda first before Agoda can refund back to us. So we didn't talk further. When we called the hotel the next day, on Monday, the hotel said the duty manager did not agree to refund, and then the fact that we stayed one extra night, we accepted their terms!!! They apologized but could only offer "upgrade with late checkout" if we go back and stay in their hotel! We insisted we would never return due to security concerns. At one point the front desk manager offered to pay one night "out of his own pockets" but we refused. He said he needed to seek direction from management - and later the decision was "no refund". During the discussion the front desk manager accused us of "not locking the door properly so that the other guest could get in", and that "no actual harm was done". Have never seen such an uncaring hotel, and also twisting the facts.
5. Full of smell of smoke inside the room
6. A bottle of opened coke inside the fridge
7. Very small bathroom
8. The room feels more like a dorm room than a hotel room
9. Still using CRT rather than LCD TV
10. Needed to wait a long time at the foyer in order to take the lift/elevator back to the room
11. Needed to wait 20 min after returning room card to them during checkout. They needed to check your room to make sure nothing is taken (are we thieves?)
12. Noisy at night, bad sound insulation
13. Need to pay for in-room wifi service
14. Air conditioner with dripping water

That is not correct. The hotel is at most a 5 minute taxi ride. Every time I have stayed there (3 times now) I have always taken a taxi from the MTR station.

We didn't take the taxi all the way. We took it about 5 minutes to the MTR and caught the fast train the airport; it's the very next stop.
