My husband and I chose the Movenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives for our honeymoon and it was honestly paradise! From the moment we got to Male airport we had Movenpick staff waiting for us and organising our transfers. We were greeted at the resort by singing staff and music which was so special. We met our host, Daria, who was so friendly and gave us a tour of the island and all the information we needed. Our overwater ocean villa was breath taking!! We couldn’t believe how lucky we were to spend our honeymoon in such luxury which looked amazing in photos when we had researched but was even better in real life!
During our time at Movenpick we did a guided snorkelling tour with MieMie who was so friendly and explained all about the underwater life we would see, then during the snorkel made sure to point everything out. We saw sharks, stingrays, turtles and so many amazing fish! We will never forget the experience!
We attended the sunset yoga which was set at the end of the boardwalk over the ocean. It was absolutely beautiful and the instructor, Selvi, was so welcoming and calming. Selvi had such a special aura about her and we walked away feeling very relaxed.
The spa at Movenpick was one of the best! The staff were all friendly and the experience was exceptional right from the beginning. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink and cool towels as we chose which oil we wanted, before being led to our massage villa over the ocean. The staff were polite and professional, the music was calming, and the massage therapists were well trained. We loved our massages and returned multiple times! Risma was incredible and gave the best Balinese massage I have ever had. Hany gave my husband a pedicure and he absolutely loved it and came out with the smoothest feet!
The buffet breakfast at Onu Marche was the best buffet breakfast we have ever had and we have been to many places. There was literally everything we could think of to choose from and we looked forward to it every morning, especially the grilled halloumi!
Lunch and dinner was always outstanding, whether we went to Latitude 5.5 or Bodumas. We had the all inclusive package and most of the menu was available to us under our package.
At Bodumas, an absolute stand out was the black cod - there are no words to describe how amazing this dish was. Everything we tried at Bodumas was delicious, the staff gave outstanding service and we left each time feeling so happy and satisfied.
We met the chef at Latitude 5.5, Darsan, who is so passionate about his cooking which is evident in how delicious all of the food was! WOW! We tried a lot of things from the menu in our time on the island and it was all so yummy. Our absolute favourite was the creme brûlée which was done to perfection. Darsan was so kind to write the recipe down for us and explained how to make it! The food was topped off with incredible service by the restaurant staff, particularly Glaiza (Gulu) who always greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we wanted. Gulu set up a special table on our last night and decorated the table just for us which made us feel very special.
After dinner each evening we would go to the bar at Onu Marche where there was always music, drinks and fun to be had. We were hooked on the pool table and the bar staff always ensured we had drinks. We had such fun times with amazing bar service from Putu and Udaya, drinking and dancing with the best music from DJ Sanjeewa.
Wesley is the heart and soul of this island and every time we needed a buggy to take us somewhere on the island, it was usually Wesley who turned up with the biggest smile on his face. Wesley is so genuinely warm and kind and he always put a smile on our faces.
Our host, Daria, made sure our experience was perfect. Daria gave us her phone number and every time we needed something she would respond immediately and organise it. She was so professional, friendly and just amazing at her job! Every time we went out in the morning to breakfast or an activity I would ask Daria to organise for our room to be cleaned. When we returned it was always done, absolutely immaculate, mini bar refilled and everything. At the end of our stay we had a late flight home so Daria organised a late check out for us which made our last day so relaxing and easy and we got extra time in our pool!
We could not fault this resort. It was just perfect! The island is beautiful, the villas are luxurious, the restaurants and food is top standard and the staff are just amazing. We will remember our time at Movenpick Maldives forever with such special memories made and we can’t wait to return!!

I was lucky enough to be invited to Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives is located in Noonu atoll late November for 2 nights.
The resort has lush vegetation and a stunning beach and lagoon. I stayed in an Overwater Villa Lagoon which is extremely spacious and luxurious. The design of the Villas is very different from others I have experienced in the past. They have the most amazing entrance I have seen. As you open the door the entrance hall is a complete glass floor and a large window at the end. It is so light and such an amazing entrance. Off the entrance, you have the dressing area which comprises of large wardrobes and draws, luggage rack, large mirror and an area to iron. The villas come complete with iron and ironing board. A second sliding door leads to a spacious, luxury bedroom, with a huge bed and sitting area and spectacular ocean view. Another sliding door leads to a luxurious bathroom, complete with indoor shower and bathroom. To complete the villa you have a large spacious private decking with a good size plunge pool, outdoor shower and sun loungers. The villas are in a horseshoe shape so if you are staying in an Overwater Villa Lagoon or Lagoon Sunrise the villas do face each other but don't worry as the distance is enough to still allow plenty of privacy. Although I didn't stay in one of the Beach Suites, these are equally as luxurious and private. They all have a private plunge pool and they have a unique rooftop Salsa. The outdoor area is just as charming as the interiors.
The dining options are excellent and will suit everyone's tastebuds.
The main restaurant ONU is the all-day dining restaurants, offering indoor and outdoor dining. The choice of the buffet is extensive and they have theme nights.
Bodumas is located overwater and overs a 360-degree view of the ocean. This is perfect for a romantic meal and they offer Fresh Seafood.
Latitude is the main pool area, where you can enjoy a great lunch menu.
Movenpick offers the best Swiss chocolate in the world and of course, they will serve this in their resort. Every day there is a complimentary daily chocolate hour for all guests to experience. What a treat. Some of the most delicious chocolates I have ever tasted. Complimentary tea or coffee is served with the chocolates but if you want to treat yourself to a glass of wine or champagne you can do so as the chocolate hour is served in the wine lounge.
The Sun Spa boasts Jungle Retreat, treatments rooms as well as 5 overwater treatment rooms.
The overall experience was fantastic. Stunning Villas, delicious food and amazingly professional and friendly service from a great team. Thank you all for a fantastic experience.

This was a bucket list destination and it exceeded all expectations. I can’t say enough about the beauty of the Maldives and the hospitality of the staff at Movenpick. The staff was extremely friendly (in a great way) and did anything they could to make sure our vacation was top notch. Amy, our villa host was so kind and checked in daily, and was always there when we needed her. In the 7 nights we were there, we befriended so many staff members that were genuinely interested in the guests and having conversations. I could go on and on about the staff. They were amazing.
Pictures don’t do the property the justice it deserves - you must see it in person. It’s absolute paradise- above the water and below it. The island is meticulously maintained and the reef at the Dive Center is beaming with life.
The food was excellent at all three restaurants and the theme nights were so much fun. Special shout out to Annaiza who made breakfast so special. Truly one of a kind.
We usually don’t repeat destinations, but we will definitely be back to Movenpick...

We, Gabriele and Michael, spent 2 weeks in March 2021 on this wonderful island. We stayed in an Overwater Villa Lagoon and can`t mention anything than the best about our stay. The Mövenpick Kuredhivaru was the ninth Maldivian island we already visited and we can sincerely state, that this resort was overall the best so far. We stayed in an Overwater Villa Lagoon Side, all Overvillas as well as the Beach Villas are spacious and have a stylish layout. Not only the bedroom/ living room but also the bathroom with the huge bathtub are facing the large and well furnished terrace with a breathtaking view of the lagoon: light turquoise water, at low tide the water barely reaches your chest, only sandy ground. You feel like being in a giant swimming pool. The buffet restaurant “ONU Marche” offers an enormous selection and variety of delicious foods for breakfast and dinner with a lot of live cooking stations. We always preferred the tables outside in the shade of the palms, only a few meters away from the sea and with the feet in the sand. The waiters there did a great job: We never had to wait more than a few seconds to be served and the empty plates were taken away almost immediately. Another culinary highlight is the speciality restaurant “Bodumas” ( a 3-course menu is included in half board). The entire island is so well maintained and clean and the picturesque beach, that stretches around the island, gives everywhere access to a sandy lagoon. Apart from the stunning villas, the most beautiful lagoon we ever saw in the Maldives, the lush greenery and the amazing beach, it is the friendly, professional and helpful staff, that provides you with the fondest memories. Although it is actually unfair just to mention a few of the great staff we specifically want to express our appreciation for our roomboy Ali (Villa 277) for excellent cleaning, our host Hussen for efficient and quick response to all our needs, Joy and Massu from the main restaurant for taking excellent care of us, the Sri Lankan Lady behind the fruit/ salad counter for the specifically friendly way to serve us.

I must say the best part of our stay was our beautiful villa with the infinity pool (which i absolutely loved) over the ocean. The room was absolutely stunning with an enormous tub, shower & toilet where you can see the fishes below at night, and the most comfortable bed. I also enjoyed the food and all our waiters at the restaurants/cafe who were so friendly during every breakfast, chocolate hour, and dinner. We didn't do any activities at this resort, but it was very beautiful and relaxing.
My three main issues, which lowered my expectations, were: 1.the gym, which was such a disappointment since all the structures were so beautiful. The other two issues were really how they handled our transfer from our prior resort to their resort (our prior resort resolved it and gave us a better option) and how they told me that my last hotel for one night in the capital was not an option, which was completely incorrect. The hotel said they had already gotten approval and were waiting for our flight information.
Besides my issues, its a beautiful resort.

We spent 7 wonderful days in this Resort. For us it is the 3rd time in the Maldives and every time it is more and more beautiful. The villas, both the water and the beach, are wonderful and huge, , all have a private infinity pool, espresso coffee machine, tea, water available to guests. The catering is at the top a lot of choice in the various restaurants, all overlooking the sea. Lunch is served a la carte, buffet breakfast and dinner, 2 other paid restaurants are available in a BREATHTAKING location. AFTERNOON from 4 to 5 pm a complimentary of the Resort with many types of chocolates, coffees and ice creams. Top service, cleaning professionalism, kindness and smiles in all the staff. All the staff are extremely kind, professional and try in every way to pamper and spoil you. Our stay ended with bad weather and nervousness of missing our connections but a special thanks to Mr.Javed executive manager who was of great help in handling weather crisis and was there all the time to assure so many nervous guests to not to worry and was personally monitoring the situation and sending many guests in storm and rain without being irritated or tired. Hats off to him . Also Sheyma and Sajjey at the reception to attend all my requests with kindness, availability and professionalism, thank you very much, I would also like to thank all the restaurant staffs. A love felt hug to everyone from the heart. We reached home safely and will super recommend it and will be back soon.

Positives • The location and the environment were amazing. Not only crystal clear water but also an unobstructed view • Fantastic staff. Especially Anna in the Main restaurant was fantastic. They really did a great job to anticipate our needs • Food was good EXCEPT for the barbeque night which was a large barbeque buffet of dry uneatable dishes. We almost vent back to the room and ordered room service. • Great place to relax with great privacy
Negatives • Still not sure what Lena who introduced herself as our butler role was during our stay, Besides picking us up at the boat we heard nothing from her • Information was lacking and information available on the in room tv system such as menus was different from what you would be presented at the restaurants. SO you basically had to run around every day to ask • We bought the ALL-INCLUSIVE as we wanted to complete peace of mind and not having to think about the bill. Yet we left with a memory that the most common word we heard was “ That will be extra charge” if you are offering an all-inclusive please make it an all-inclusive and educated your staff so they not first say yes and 3 minutes later comes back with “Sorry that is extra charge” • Facilities were good but it was very visible that wear and tear were setting in and maintenance is not a priority. Not to the degree of being unsafe but general maintenance is needed throughout • We were unable to use our free activity as the only activity appealing of the three choices was only available outside of our stay and there was NO flexibility in offering an alternative. • Service was from the general staff very good but it was clear that the staff had not been empowered to make any decisions and because of that everyone had to ask and come back on even simple questions. This was the main contributor to us leaving with a overall feeling that everything was about “extra charge” • The photo experience was SHOCKINGLY bad and had we not given the photographer some basic ideas we would have had zero picture we would have liked. There was no interest and no care and to top it all up the pricing plans were ridicules inflexible and prices not transparent. YOU as the resort should be ashamed of providing such a poor service. Don’t care if this is a third party provided the company is under your brand and working at you resort. It would have been great if there had been a photographer available at the evening events and circulating around the result and that you could have taken pictures that could all have added up and be purchased. Instead, you had to book an expensive 1h photoshoot. Well, what is best having pictures throughput the stay at evenings, morning at dinner, or have pictures at one specific time a day… Whoever designed this experience and hired the photographer have done a really poor job

My boyfriend and I stayed at the movenpick back in February 2019 the resort was recently opened. The transfers from the airport to the resort was organized and smoothly, staff at the location was friendly with great costumer service. Now let’s talk about the location, the sea water of the hotel island is all that you can dream about when you think about the maldives, clear clean water with beautiful coral reef. The rooms are gorgeous with plenty of space and beautiful details. The only reason I give 4 starts is because honestly I was expecting more when it came to food. Breakfast was okay with a buffet with plenty of options and dinners were okay, but nothing impressive; other than that I will recommend this resort to any of my friends because is so worthy just by the great location.

The hotel over Festive Season was one our best holidays ever for Christmas and NYE. The service was spectacular. The island is sufficiently large for walking. There are 3 dining venues. The entertainment in this period was astonishingly professional and fun. The cuisine is excellent, even in the buffet. There are no eye-sores. The resort, rooms, are all tidy. The rooms are thoughtfully done, with huge amounts of space, including concealed walk in closet, so no luggage visible. To have a Villa Host is incredible, really something we have not had at other Maldives 5 star resorts. Movenpick ice cream, coffee, and their Free Chocolate hour, only add to the greatness of this resort. Staff seem genuinely kind, happy and friendly, very accommodating. We were blessed with UK DJ Rees and pop duo led by Vlad. The Japanese gourmet restaurant is a great change from the normal Italian fare most hotels have. A very good reef for snorkeling, no need to go anywhere by boat. Invisible maid service is a real plus, also something we have not had at many island resorts.

We had a wonderful visit to the Movenpick in the Maldives. Everything was above and beyond our expectations. From Nash who met us at the airport and guided us through to the seaplane boarding, the spectacular flight to the island by TMA , to the warm welcome by Hussein at the hotel dock.
The room was spacious and comfortable over the crystal clear water. It was an absolute tonic.
Joy and Gibson and the other restaurant staff were warm and welcoming and always made sure we had everything we needed and the Maldivian staff were so kind and shared with us their experiences of living in this paradise.
We had an excellent trip to see the sea turtles and the multitude of fish, including black tipped reef sharks, was a delight. You could snorkel all day and keep seeing more beautiful and interesting sea life.
We can’t wait to go back and from our survey of the island on our flights we have determined that the Movenpick is on the best island with the huge beautiful clear lagoon so we will go straight back there!

I did not do the turtle excursion since I saw the turtle during the reef hopping. Dolphin excursion was great, saw lots of dolphins, good to go.
I think stargazing can be omitted. I suggest to choose the beach villa, u can do the star gazing by yourself at the roof at the beach villa.
No comment on the cruise as I did not do it
There are more places to choose from in the Kuredhivaru Island area.
