Set within 54 acres surrounding the serene natural setting of Lake Eve, and located along popular International Drive, The Fountains offers everything you would expect from a world-class resort as well as the convenience of a central location. The Fountains has its own claim to fame- Bluegreen's Wakoola Springs. This 75,000-square-foot tropical oasis sets itself apart from an everyday pool with two water slides*, a zero-entry pool, interactive water fountains, two hot tubs. Cross over the two bridges on the campus and head over to one of two fire circles for evening stargazing and relaxation. With so many on-site amenities for both adults and kids, not to mention the hundreds of attractions in and around Orlando, you'll want to plan an extended stay to fit it all in. Our two-bedroom villas are richly appointed with all the comforts of home—and then some. Most feature a screened balcony overlooking the lake, a fully equipped kitchen and a garden tub. The decor is elegant and tasteful with many focused on water, lake or pool views.

The Bluegreen Vacations Fountains, part of the Ascend Resort Collection, often receives accolades for its welcoming atmosphere and ideally situated location on International Drive. While some guests commend the prompt service and admire the well-maintained rooms and common areas, others have encountered service inconsistencies and cleanliness concerns. The hotel's various pools are a highlight, though there are mixed feelings about their temperature and size. Room experiences vary, with space and appointments pleasing some but leaving others dissatisfied. Moreover, the value proposition is tainted for many due to aggressive sales tactics and pricing confusion.

Let me start off by saying that this is a very beautiful resort. It has a number of pools spread throughout and the central one is located at the club house which offers additional amenities such as a Steam Room and Sauna. My complaint comes with the fact during our four days, the number of issues experienced and the lack of concern. When we first arrived to our room, we discovered the phone did not work and there was an issue with the internet. We reported to the front desk and nothing was done about it. We also discovered that evening that the beds were missing blankets/comforters and one bed was missing sheets all together. We again called to the front desk and reported it along with the fact the phone and internet still was not working. Comforters and sheets arrived nearly an hour after we called but one set was for the wrong size bed which resulted in another call to the front desk. The next morning, called the front desk again and inquired about the internet and was told it was being fixed. When we arrived back to the room, my daughter spent over an hour on the phone with their tech support team and assured someone was on the way to fix it. On Day 3, my wife and I woke up with bite marks all over legs. We immediately stripped the bed and opened the drapes to let the sunlight in to kill whatever was in the bed, we reported the issue to the front desk and asked for new linens for the master bedroom. The sheets arrived several hours later only to discover that we were sent bedding for double bed and not a king. I phoned again to the front desk and explained we were sent the wrong sheets and that we still had no phone or internet. A tech arrived to look at the phone only to discover that the phone jack was bad. Rather than replace the jack, he moved the phone to bedroom and called it fixed. We asked about the internet and was told he would reset the routers. On Day 4, we reported the internet has not being fixed and was told someone was on the way to correct the issue. When we arrived back to the room, the internet was still not working and we gave up with it.. I would love to give this resort 5 stars but the fact that we so many issues prevents me from giving it anymore than 3 (and that is being generous)

Stayed 4 nights during the pandemic. Overall I was very impressed with this Bluegreen resort. I have stayed at several Bluegreen and other timeshare resorts, and this was the most impressive as far as amenities and size go. This placed reminded me so much of the all inclusive resorts in Mexico. The big pool was so neat with the cabanas, music, and somewhat sectioned off areas of the pool. I never saw the waterslide operational; maybe shut down for COVID? The arcade was great and the gym was great. A couple of complaints: very few grills and if as an owner you have come to expect the personalized treatment you get from other Bluegreen resorts, don't expect that here... you are just another guest/ number. I hated calling the front desk for anything because of that. The room was pretty good; we stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath. There were a few maintenance issues that should be resolved but it was very clean and fresh. I would not stay here without a vehicle. Grocery (Publix) is about a mile away as well as several restaurants; just far enough that it would be a hassle without a car. If possible, request a pool view. This resort is just down the street from Sea World and Aquatica; very close to all the other Orlando theme parks. I would recommend this resort and would stay here again if I return to the Orlando area.

We used our points to book a stay at the fountains/ Bluegreen resorts in Orlando for four nights in April 2021 and we booked two 2 bedroom units. The person whom checked us in told us that since we were staying for 4 nights we did not have to pay the housekeeping fee and he said let me check with my supervisor whom was just a few feet away from him. Both the person checking us in and his supervisor walked back over to the check in desk and they both said “No, for 4 or more nights there is no housekeeping fee.” The person checking us in said “I will gladly wave that fee for you”. Since we thought we were not going to have to pay that extra fee, we spent more money on the property in the restaurants and the kids spent a lot of money in the arcade. And I guess they put non owners in the back by the laundry and that is what we heard; the big huge metal doors slamming shut all the time. Plus, we had an issue with our room key 3 times in one of our units and were locked out. After we got home from this trip I looked at the receipt and seen that we were charged the housekeeping fee of $125 per unit. I called the resort and they said everybody is charged a housekeeping fee even for a 7 night or more stay. I called our cc company and for weeks they tried to get us the housekeeping fee back to no avail. So then I filed a complaint with the BBB and got a response and a phone call. Instead of a refund we were offered a 5 night stay in a 2 bedroom for 6-8 people with no housekeeping fee charge at any of the Bluegreen resorts that they own and all we had to do was call owner services, just like if we were owners. A Free stays is not what we wanted since we already have two timeshares and receive over 100,000 points per year. Furthermore, I tried 2 times to book this stay to no avail, the people I spoke with told me I had to be an owner or have a voucher. I was on the phone for more than an hour each time and was passed to different departments and each person whom I spoke with said that they could not help me book this stay. One of the people I spoke with was going to try and book a stay but when I said I wanted to say at the resort in Marathon, Fl., they said they did not have a full 5 days, for me to call back at a later day. When I called back a different day a different person told me that the resort in Marathon was only for Bluegreen owners and she could not book that resort for me.

We chose this resort for our friends Bachelorette weekend. There were 18 girls that came and this resort far exceeded our expectant we didn't even scratch the surface on their amenities. Our rooms were clean and spacious. The bellman were so nice and courteous. The engineer guys who came to fix our door lock (batteries were dying) and help us figure out how to get out of the sliding glass door were SO nice and friendly and they fixed our issues quickly. When our uber driver couldn't follow GPS directions, bellman Wesley put us all in his golf cart without any hesitation and drove us all over the resort to find him. He was so funny and had us laughing the whe golf cart ride. The front desk was SO helpful. 18 girls coming in at all different times, and they were so accommodating with getting everyone keys so we could all get in. They gave us extra parking passes upfront so that we didn't have to keep going back to the desk when people arrived. There were employees everywhere and they were all so friendly. They were Cleaning the grounds and security was visible throughout our entire stay in the parking lots which made us feel safe with going down the parking lots. The balconies were an awesome extra that we didn't realize were available when we booked. Overall, just a great stay. We will definitely be back and definitely recommend others to this resort.

Given some of the reviews, I was a bit worried about our accommodations. We booked through the package offered at Bass Pro Shop.

We stayed in building 5, room 5301, which had a nice view of the lake. The room was quiet and pretty clean. We did find some hair on the shower wall in the second bathroom, but it was an overall clean suite. We didn’t have any issues with bugs or anything like that. We did have a tub drainage issue the first night with the tub in the second bathroom, and we notified the front desk.

The suite was very spacious with plenty of room for our family of 5. There was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, and dishes for use. Most of the dishes were glass, though, so if you bring small kids, you may want to use paper plates and cups. There were a few pots/pans for cooking, as well, but there was no coffee maker in this suite (despite having coffee provided).

The beds were comfortable, and we had plenty towels and wash cloths for everyone. Hotel sized soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotions were provided. The TV had plenty of channels for everyone to find something to watch, especially when lightening shut down the pools for a couple hours.

Both pool areas are nice, although the Wakalooka pool could’ve stood a little cleaning. There are trees surrounding it that shed some kind of nuts that get in the pool and all over the poolside area. Very painful to step on! Both pools have snack bars and hot tubs, as well as some games. Our boys especially enjoyed the water slide at the Wakalooka pool! Pool side entertainment is fun, as well, with activities geared towards both adults and kids.

The lobby in building 1 contains a Starbucks coffee shop, frozen yogurt, and a small store/gift shop.

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and would love to return again. This is a very nice resort and very close to area attractions, restaurants, and shopping.

Side note: if you are doing the “2 hour” presentation through Bass Pro, be aware the presentation itself is about 2 hours (very entertaining and informative). However, unless you state up front after the presentation that you definitely are not interested in purchasing the product, you’ll spend another 2 hours with the sales rep trying to sell you all the features. It’s very hard to get away if you show the slightest interest. They do have a supervised kids area for your kids to play games, etc, during the presentation, but if you don’t want to spend anymore vacation time on it, be up front after the initial presentation.

Upon arrival into our room it was obvious our kitchen had not been cleaned and there were many areas of the two bedroom not cleaned or finished being cleaned. We had a late arrival and we were tired ready to relax. Unfortunately, we had to contact the front desk to see if we could be moved to a cleaned unit, the unit they wanted to put us in was not any cleaner and an ADA accessible room. Based on previous experiences with Bluegreen we were afraid we would be stuck in this room our hole trip. Which would have been the case based on our experience this trip.

We decided to stay in the first unit with the understanding they would address the issues the next day and our accommodations would be moved the next day. We were woke up at 8:00 a.m. the next morning because they wanted to insure we attended the upsell meeting, when I explained we had a long night and everything else we had to go through, we were not going to be attending and that we still needed the issues with our room tended to, I was told they would get back to me. They never called us back and all that was done was a housekeeping staff member knocked on our door, she was not able to speak to us or understand what I was telling her was needing done, she attempted to clean the kitchen with spraying cleaning solutions around our food and cooking breakfast on the stove and counter. We finally just asked for the cleaning solution and had to wipe everything down ourselves. The kitchen table had dried food from someone else's meal, clearly not wiped down. This is unacceptable and appalling especially in current times.

The living room accommodations, furniture is not comfortable or inviting to watch a movie at night as a family. Sitting in the chairs in building 8 was unbearable without getting the extra bed pillows from the bedroom to place behind your back. Four adults do not fit on the couch, so someone had to draw the short straw and sit on the chairs.

The units needs to be cleaned and tended to, the furniture needs to be addressed. When someone is in a unit and complains about filth its unacceptable to leave them in that condition, then to top it off when they aren't interested in attending the upsell meeting they have already attended numerous times they are basically swept to the side and left as is in a dirty room, we had no idea what else hadn't been cleaned.

Space is nice and the beds and linens are clean. Outdated is fine but I felt like some areas were dirty. I also felt the need to wash all the dishes myself bc some were sticky. As for the pool, there is NO reason that the muck should be this thick on EVERY single area. I get it - Orlando was on lockdown but if you’re willing to accept the guests and their money, pay for the help to make the experience nice.

This was our first experience with Blue Green. We paid cash for an extra vacation through RCI and we were very pleased with the week. The resort was very clean and our unit very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and always greeted me with a smile and a hello. I had asked for extra dishwasher detergent and it was immediately brought to my room. The clubhouse had a beautiful pool , hot tub, sauna and steam room. The fitness center was also located here. There was also another large pool area with a couple of hot tubs as well. They had plenty of activities available throughout the day. They had a fire pit going in the evening as well outside our building. We would definitely return here as it is very close to Publix, Disney and Universal. It is also a great place to just hang and get away from it all.

The 2 bedroom villa has basically all you can ask for. One bedroom has a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The other bedroom has two queen beds and a bathroom just outside the bedroom, but with a door that allows for privacy for the occupants in that room. The balcony is very spacious. As far as the amenities, the kids pool was off one night we were there. My husband called it in so they could turn on the water works and they told him the engineers were not there to do so. However, it was magically turned on a few mins later. The pool was big. We never had an issue finding chairs. Unfortunately, we never attended any of the activities they had, which seemed fun. They will obviously get you to sign up for a meeting to buy their timeshare. They promised me $140 and said I could use it towards resort credit, but when I called it in they refused to let me use it until I went to the meeting (which is not what the lady at concierge had told me). They scheduled my meeting the last day I'd stay at the resort, so there was no use for me to take their offer. It was an okay stay overall. Not sure if I would return.

It is a large property but you will be booked by one of the pools so you wouldn't need to do a lot of walking to get to the pool. There are several pools so that it is easy walking distance.
