Set on Tossa de Mar Beach, this modernist boutique hotel is in the historic centre of the town. It offers a terrace with great sea views and direct beach access. There is free Wi-Fi in all rooms and commons areas. Hotel Diana is a family-run hotel set in a historic building. This listed building has over 100 years of history and was built by Antoni de Falguera i Sivilla, a disciple of Gaudi. All rooms at the Hotel Diana offer views over Plaza de España or the sea. Rooms are all air conditioned and heated. Each one has a private bathroom. Finally, the Hotel Diana is an old private house that became a hotel and this is the reason why all rooms are different.

Nice hotel in a historical building on one of Tossa's main squares.
What it is: a boutique hotel with cosy rooms and attentive staff, across the road from the beach.
What it is not: a luxury hotel which is modern throughout, a pool and all amenities of a chain.
So you get a lot of character and curiosity, at the expense of having period, rather than modern, furniture, etc.
Breakfast was nice: limited buffet but you can order a lot of hot options and extras, free of charge (so they only cook what they need). Staff are very friendly and helpful, front desk is 24h. Beach towels can be changed as many times as necessary.
Restaurant also serves lunch and dinner but we did not try it.
The only drawback was: no mirrors in the room (only a small one in the bathroom), really inconvenient for my wife.

An absolute gem of an hotel with the most beautiful public rooms and a splendid location. Staff are friendly and helpful and there's a chic and classy air that pervades the place. A couple of words of advice, First, be wary if you use satnav to find it. Mine attempted to deliver me to the front door and therefore took me through tiny pedestrianised streets, in which I got to meet many of my fellow visitors to Tossa! Second, the receptionist recommended parking nearby and advised that the cost was 11 euros a night. Sadly I found to my cost that this rises to 33 euros on Saturday and Sunday nights.

The location could not have been more perfect, seafront on one side and right in the heart of the old town for ease of access to restaurants, bars and shopping. The room was lovely, as per the photos on website, but beds a little small. Spotlessly clean and we liked that they always cleaned when we were having breakfast.
Breakfast was a la carte, so a lovely choice each day - fresh and hot/cold what every one wanted.
We would have preferred a room, with a balcony or an area to sit out to read and relax. We had the opportunity of using the sister hotel pool, which was only a few minutes walk away. A completely different style of hotel, but would be worth a visit on return.
We will definitely return to Hotel Diana, but will ask for a different room!

We booked the Diana suite from Diana Hotel ... a two levels 45m2 room with 4 terraces including a Solarium with shower and beach beds. You got a wonderful sea view from any place of the suite !! The hotel itself is more than 100 y.o with plenty of beautiful furniture ... a real 4stars hotel :)
Additionnaly, Tossa kept its soul (i.e not alllowing huge building like in Platja, Roses or San Suzanna), a typical small town along with it's castle ... we have had a very very good stay and we'll come back for sure :)

There is much to admire about Hotel Diana - it's location and the uniqueness of the building for a start. Add to that the wonderful breakfast experience and the high standard of cleanliness. We enjoyed a ten night stay in a Junior Suite which provided us with much space and wonderful views. We experienced Juan and his colleagues on the breakfast team to be both good humoured and efficient - other staff we encountered were courteous. If you want to splash the cash on somewhere really different this could be the place to try.

We stayed here with two young children for four nights . And everything was impeccable. You could see the staff cared , they were always on hand to help with any queries . Reception provided beach towels and umbrella which we could use in the beach which is steps away .
We were spoilt for choice at breakfast with Panckaes , eggs , fruits which we could order .
Location is ideal , if opens out to the town at the back and to the beach in the front !
Since we were leaving early the last day , they even got some take away breakfast ready !
Will definitely recommend .

Historic hotel with comfortable rooms. Wonderful staff. Really nice breakfast in a pretty courtyard. Stones throw from the beach. Sea front rooms are great, particularly those with a terrace but the square view rooms are well soundproofed and very attractive also. The upper level bar is lovely and again the really helpful staff warrant a mention. There are cheaper hotels in Tossa de Mar but it would be hard to find the equal of hotel Diana.

This hotel is very attractive stylish and atmospheric. The location is right across from the beach and the views are wonderful. The terrace, public lounges and courtyard are lovely. The food in the restaurant is way better than you'd expect.
The problem is the rooms. I stayed in October and the aircon was off in all the rooms and only heat was available. Although the lounges can get cool in the evening, the rooms remain warm and stuffy. I had to leave the window open and mosquitos came in and bit me. Plus the bathroom has no ventilation. There is no way anyone would need heating in the rooms in Oct. It's just too warm indoors. I suggest they leave the option to turn on the aircon in the rooms in Oct. Also they should provide a box of Kleenex tissue paper and normal rectangular pillows instead of the long narrow ones. Card keys would be an improvement.

The location - across a street from a beautiful Costa Brava beach and a view of a walled city and towers - is breathtaking. The accommodations are comfortable and the staff is eager and helpful. I wish we had been able to stay much longer. Sunrise from the common area terrace was spectacular. Don't miss the restaurant, too: really excellent, creative offerings in a beautiful setting.

Hotel Diana is probably one of the top three hotels in Tossa. The rooms are simple but extremely clean and elegant. Breakfast has Spanish and British choices. You are literally 20 or 30 m from the water. The hotel is in the absolute center of Tossa. During the summer there are a lot of activities that take place outside of the hotel into the wee hours of the morning but the rooms are sufficiently insulated so that it is quiet. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely return to this hotel. Parking is a little tricky for those who are not used to parking in small garages. Bring a small car for this. Easy access by bus as well.

Hi, Can anyone comment on how comfortable the pull out bed is in downstairs part of the Diana suite?

Our suite has two different floors. Downstairs we have a double sofa bed, a terrace and a toilet. This room is perfect for families.

Thank you very much to contact us. As you can see the Hotel Diana is a fantastic place to spend your holidays. We are located in front of the sea an in the center of the town. There are plenty of shops and restaurants for all tastes. They can do water sports like kayak, pedaló,etc, excursions with boats. Water parks are located 20 minutes from the hotel. In conclusion lot of things to do to keep busy!!
