We stayed here for 6 nights with a 4yo and had a great time. The beach is not just a beach - it has great kids entertainment with giant slides and a seriously fun climbing frame and trampolines etc. Also organised activities such as dance classes. It is all in French unsurprisingly in Quebec but this never seemed to be a problem. The lake is cool but refreshing and nice sandy bottom of lake so good for kids. Most people seemed to come from locally so brought bikes with them for some great kid-friendly trails, but you can also hire in Duhamel village (though not obvious where from). The hekapia huts are brilliant and really well equipped. Mozzie proof and comfy beds. The nearest big supermarket is in cheneville 20 km away so stock up there as there is not a lot in Duhamel tho the basics are there including 2 minimarkets and post office.
Couple of minor criticisms. Wifi at the central office is patchy - quite important if a European visitor. Also if you have kids the fire pits for next door hekapia are right behind your hut so can be noisy if you are trying to get kids off to sleep. Having said that it's pretty quiet generally and very little noise after 10.30.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back - the SEPAQ concept doesn't really exist in the UK it's either centre parcs at huge expense or camping on a field. This merges both ideas very successfully

This camping is really a nice place to go. The camping sites are like any other well cared places and there is "Ready to camp sites" also available. What makes the place worth it is that you can do a lot of activities without needing to go far from the beach which is the main attraction. You have a jumping pillow, kid's module, slides, boat rental, fishing... and the nature all around. The beach is really, really nice also with the addition that the water is pretty warm.

The installations are clean and well attended to. The staff is really nice to you and not annoying at all like in other camping. Highly recommended with kids but you may want to reserve a year in advance especially if you want "Ready to camp" or chalet.

Beautiful campground and beach. Lots of activities for children,.
Bike Paths should be better marked as they cross with the skidoo trails and I got lost.
Campsite was poorly marked and we had no privacy as nearby campers used our site to walk thru to the bathrooms instead of the paths. (119) and it there was a lot of vehicle traffic.
Staff was friendly
Washrooms were clean.
Beach fantastic.
Lots of children at this campground, and lots of speed bumps to keep vehicles driving slow.

Beautiful, clean lake with very clean amenities and lots to do for kids.

Pros:

The beach is huge and clean with many access points and activities for kids.

Lots if play areas including slides, a jungle gym for older kids and one for younger ones, a rock climbing station and a trampoline type jumping thing. All free to use.

Mini putt on site 6$ per adult, kids free.

Daily free activities such as treasure hunts, face painting and movies, just to name a few.

Bathrooms and showers were well maintained and very clean. Each station has flushable toilets and showers (the showers cost. 50 cents for four minutes and only accept quarters) each station also has area to wash and dry dishes that has a big sink with hot water.

All stores and activities take cash, interac or credit card.

Store to buy ice and other items that you may need.

Cons:

Sites lack privacy and are a bit small, suitable for one family with four ppl.

Cannot brung your own wood but the packs are not too expensive only about 8$

Pros outweighed the cons for us, we will definitely come back!

I stayed here for 3 nights with Woddy, my dog. It was the first weekend of the season. So quite and relaxing. There is the playground equipment on the beach. There was a giant bouncy pillow, 5 slides, climb structure and upside down chain cone go around game. There was a big sandy beach and a lake for swimming or boating but not open yet. Too cold. The lake was quite picturesque - will rolling tree covered hills surrounding it. There is a store at the beach not open yet. Mini-golf close to the registration booth. I stayed in campsite 202B. I had small tree trunks around me but was at the end of section. So no traffic. But i could see all my neighbours, as there were no shrubs on the ground. The campground felt quite 'natural'. It was bug season; mosquitoes so bring bug repellent. The washrooms were clean enough but only 1 was open and it was in section G. So 5 min walking distance to get a shower or use the toilet. The showers I had to pay to use it (50c for 4mins)... there were only 2 per washroom. They had warm water and dish washing sinks outside. They also had composting, recycling and garbage bins scattered throughout the campground. I went for a walk with Woody on a trail. The sign weren't very clear. The map not accurate and you can get lost easily (not clear instructions) and even most of the trails were not cleaned up. I was a bit disappointed. It would have been a great experience for Woody. I probably won't come back to this campsite in the future certainly not at the beginning of the season. Its more a family camp ground.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our kids (9 and 6) loved the playground equipment on the beach. There was a giant bouncy pillow, 2 large slides going down a hill, and 3 even larger slides next to them. A jungle themed play structure (like you get at indoor play areas), a smaller 'pirate ship' play structure, and an upside down cone shaped round about that you could climb on, and a rock climbing 'rock wall'. There was a big sandy beach and a lake with roped off sections for swimming or boating. Motor boats were allowed on the lake, but there weren't too many. A life guard was watching one of the roped off sections of lake. The lake was quite picturesque - will rolling tree covered hills surrounding it. There was a store at the beach, and you could rent BBQ's for $5.50 for 30 mins. The store also sold ice-cream (between $2 and $4). Mini-golf was a short walk from the beach (about $5 each), although we played it as one of the organised activities - and so it was free for that hour. It was fun, but wasn't in the best of shape - some of the 'green carpet' was coming up in places - but I guess that just added to the challenge. ;) We stayed in campsite 230. We had big tree trunks around us, with a canopy overhead - but we could see all our neighbours, as there were no shrubs on the ground. The campground felt quite 'natural'. there were surprisingly few bugs - some obviously, but not a lot. The washrooms were clean enough, and they had warm water and dish washing sinks outside. they also had composting recycling and garbage bins scattered throughout the campground, which I liked as you could easily get rid of your garbage, but one day the garbage truck drove round collecting the garbage which was quite strange. The showers you had to pay for ( I think about 50c for 4mins).... I never saw anyone use them- probably would have been a line if they were free as there were only 2 in our washroom. Most information was just in French - including the list of kids activities taking place - but most of the campers were very friendly and helped us translate. I found it very strange to see a sign in French and English - with the French writing in huge letters, and the English with 50% of the sign but in tiny letters - taking up barely any of the space it had available - this seemed very odd to me and sent a strange message. A friend told me this was the law in Quebec. We went for a walk along a trail - it didn't seem to match the map we had been given, but we followed the arrows on tree trunks and enjoyed it never the less. At one point we saw some lovely birds - lots of bluejays, woodpeckers and some others that someone with more knowledge about birds would be able to identify. We probably won't come back to this campsite as it's a long way from where we live, but it was very popular (almost full). The campsite was a nice compromise between camping in the natrual forests, and providing the kids with all the playground equipment and a plentiful supply of new friends. If I didn't have kids, I would probably choose a different campsite. Oh - between 5 and 5:30 each day - the bouncing pillow is adults only! I went on, and it was great fun, but if someone 'bounces' you - you might go flying into the air - I decided to come off after a bit as I could see injuries might happen - it was fun though - and a great workout!

Very nice campground! The beach is beautiful, very big and clean. We were camping in an RV and had other people in our group who were in a cabin by the beach. The camping site was large enough so that you are not crowded by your neighbor and had a nice view of the lake. The cabin was very nice and large enough for 4 adults and 2 kids. We will go back to this place.

Hi, sector A is the closest for rv camping. There are stairs that will enable you to go down to the beach, the area is nice with large trees. I have not been to the other sectors except the B where I saw that the space was a little bit smaller and they were a closer to each other. You can also take your car to go to the beach as there is a large parking area (less crowded during the week). I am sure you will enjoy it! Good camping
