The hotel is situated within a 5 minute walk to the beach. The beach is a lovely sandy beach. We visited before the summer season started so cannot comment on beach side restaurants as they were not open, but there were a lot.
The hotel staff were fantastic, especially Joseph and Francesco. Very friendly and accomodating. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were cleaned every day and new towels provided.
Breakfast was basic but plentiful, cereal, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee, croissants, bread, jam etc. Waiting staff were also very helpful and friendly.
Peitrasanta is only a short drive away, approx. 10 mins and has lovely shops and restaurants.
There is also parking at the hotel in a secure car park.
The swimming pool is small and was ideal early season, it may get very busy if the hotel was full.
There is internet access available too.
The hotel is an ideal base to visit lots of other citys. We visited Lucca, Florence, Pisa and Pietrasanta during our short stay here.
A fantastic place to stay.
To Joseph and Francesco, thanks for a great holiday.
The rooms are lovely and clean with furniture that, despite appearing old-fashioned, are in tip-top shape. Beds are soft and the sheets are the perfect thickness for a summer night. The television is a small standard-definition flatscreen. Nothing too special there, but my sister and I only used it for one program a day. Our bathroom was nice and modern but it wasn't so for the rest of our family. They're all sparkling clean and have all the utilities nonetheless. The wifi here was a it of a flaw that contrasted the otherwise fantastic experience. Wifi is painfully slow, failing to load videos if anywhere outside the bathroom. However this may be due to our room being on the very far right of the hotel. If you have a big data plan, watch TV instead, or actually go outside and do things then this flaw won't affect you. The key system is okay. The key has a massive disc with its room number connected to it so you don't lose it, but there is a place to put the key at the front desk so you don't have to haul it around. The problem is that the door automatically locks when you close it. If you're forgetful like me then you can lock yourself out. However since there were two of us in the room there were no issues. As for food- you get to choose at dinner/breakfast what you are going to eat the next day/later that day. There are two courses to choose from, three choices per course, and you can choose to have lunch, dinner, both of them or neither. However, you cannot show up for a meal without choosing the courses earlier. Lunch and dinner begin with a salad buffet, then the two pre-chosen courses, then an optional dessert. Which, did I mention, is fantastic! All of it tastes great and I got to try some new things. There's always an option for picky eaters, however. Also, there's wine. Plenty of wine. Breakfast is simply a buffet with all that is breakfast. The pool is nothing special other than that it is well-kept and has towels for borrowing.
Pros:
- well-kept
- nice staff
- great food
- good view, depending on room
- pool
- close to the beach
Cons:
- slow wifi
- easy to lock oneself out of their own room
- limited parking space
I highly recommend going to the Nettuno-Alba beach if you need an umbrella spot on the beach. It is insanely close and has a hot tub and some little games for kids, including ping-pong and table football.
At first we were slightly put off - the room we were given had a veiw of a fire escape and most of the hotel info was either in Italian or German. We asked to be moved to a different room and this was done promptly. We also overcame the language barrier - me speaking the little bit of Italian I know and my husband using the german from his school days.
The staff here are amazing friendly. They all remember your name, what your likes and dislikes are and always ask if there is anything else they can do for you.
The food is outstanding. We only booked B&B but the evening meals were so good we stayed in every night. Generally there is a buffet starter followed by a pasta course, a meat/fish course and then dessert. Once a week there is also a gala dinner where you are served sparkling wine and extra special courses.
The pool area is quite small but as the hotel is so close to the beach the pool tends to be nice and quiet.
The view from the front of the hotel is the sea/beach, the view from the rear of the hotel is of the mountains.
Stunning hotel. I have already recommended it friends and family and we will definately be returning.
Very clean....... the maid changed towels and made beds on a daily basis. The staff are very attentive, friendly, happy and helpfull.
Food average ( we stayed breakfast only but had lunch one day and plenty of it !!!!)
The proximity of the hotel suited us perfect just out of the main town but easily within walking distance and lovely and quiet.
If you are thinking of staying do not hesitate it is worth it !!!
