The hotel was very clean, in particular the room and the swimming pool. The staff was very friendly and the food very good. Moreover, the hotel is located only 2 minutes from the sea and proposes good deals with one of the beach resorts

A group of 5 friends stayed at Hotel Suisse.

The hotel is situated within a 5 minute walk to the beach. The beach is a lovely sandy beach. We visited before the summer season started so cannot comment on beach side restaurants as they were not open, but there were a lot.

The hotel staff were fantastic, especially Joseph and Francesco. Very friendly and accomodating. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were cleaned every day and new towels provided.

Breakfast was basic but plentiful, cereal, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee, croissants, bread, jam etc. Waiting staff were also very helpful and friendly.

Peitrasanta is only a short drive away, approx. 10 mins and has lovely shops and restaurants.

There is also parking at the hotel in a secure car park.

The swimming pool is small and was ideal early season, it may get very busy if the hotel was full.

There is internet access available too.

The hotel is an ideal base to visit lots of other citys. We visited Lucca, Florence, Pisa and Pietrasanta during our short stay here.

A fantastic place to stay.

To Joseph and Francesco, thanks for a great holiday.

Hotel Suisse is a fantastic three-star hotel. The friendly staff, well-kept interior and spectacular food all go well with a short walk to the beach.
The rooms are lovely and clean with furniture that, despite appearing old-fashioned, are in tip-top shape. Beds are soft and the sheets are the perfect thickness for a summer night. The television is a small standard-definition flatscreen. Nothing too special there, but my sister and I only used it for one program a day. Our bathroom was nice and modern but it wasn't so for the rest of our family. They're all sparkling clean and have all the utilities nonetheless. The wifi here was a it of a flaw that contrasted the otherwise fantastic experience. Wifi is painfully slow, failing to load videos if anywhere outside the bathroom. However this may be due to our room being on the very far right of the hotel. If you have a big data plan, watch TV instead, or actually go outside and do things then this flaw won't affect you. The key system is okay. The key has a massive disc with its room number connected to it so you don't lose it, but there is a place to put the key at the front desk so you don't have to haul it around. The problem is that the door automatically locks when you close it. If you're forgetful like me then you can lock yourself out. However since there were two of us in the room there were no issues. As for food- you get to choose at dinner/breakfast what you are going to eat the next day/later that day. There are two courses to choose from, three choices per course, and you can choose to have lunch, dinner, both of them or neither. However, you cannot show up for a meal without choosing the courses earlier. Lunch and dinner begin with a salad buffet, then the two pre-chosen courses, then an optional dessert. Which, did I mention, is fantastic! All of it tastes great and I got to try some new things. There's always an option for picky eaters, however. Also, there's wine. Plenty of wine. Breakfast is simply a buffet with all that is breakfast. The pool is nothing special other than that it is well-kept and has towels for borrowing.

Pros:
- well-kept
- nice staff
- great food
- good view, depending on room
- pool
- close to the beach

Cons:
- slow wifi
- easy to lock oneself out of their own room
- limited parking space

I highly recommend going to the Nettuno-Alba beach if you need an umbrella spot on the beach. It is insanely close and has a hot tub and some little games for kids, including ping-pong and table football.

We arrived with great expectations having booked a superior sea view room and wanting to relax after a week on the road. On checking in we were given the keys to 215, a small dark room at the rear of the hotel. So, back down to reception, 'we booked a sea view I say' 'No, says the clerk, sea view booked up 18 months to 2 years ago', So I dig out my phone and show them the confirmation email, Clerk shrugs, 'No, no rooms, you never booked a sea view' this with their own email in front of him! My wife was gutted. No view, dark dingy room with broken air-con, broken door to the tiny balcony overlooking the pool and a broken pull down blind over the balcony door meaning we couldn't darken the room to sleep. Thankfully the WiFi worked well enabling us to book somewhere else! Security seems lax, we went out and left the car key behind reception as the car park was full and they may have needed to move it. When we came back all the room keys were lined up on the reception desk by the open front door with no-one in attendance, the cynic in me thought me anyone could walk in and take a key! Needing the car key I hung around waiting for a member of staff, after 10 minutes I gave up went behind the desk and got my own car key, I could have chosen a nicer car! Breakfast was basic with awful coffee from a machine. We left the next morning and felt they were glad to see the back of us! The feeling was mutual! Dining locally we mentioned the room fiasco and got a good laugh from some locals, rumour has it only special guests get the decent rooms year after year... hey ho, lesson learned...

We stayed in Hotel Suisse for 3 nights. Just wish we had booked for longer. Hotel staff were very friendly and superbly helpful. We were the only English speakers there and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They went to the trouble of printing the menus in English just for us. They did more than was expected to ensure that our stay was comfortable. Good variety of food available for breakfast while quality of both breakfast and evening meal was very good. Slight criticism of the evening menu - main courses offered lacked variety. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, well managed, friendly, family orientated hotel. Great place to stay. Beautiful area to still with plent to amuse both adults and kids.

We travelled down through France from the Uk and this was our first stay of any length. We stayed here for 7 nights.
At first we were slightly put off - the room we were given had a veiw of a fire escape and most of the hotel info was either in Italian or German. We asked to be moved to a different room and this was done promptly. We also overcame the language barrier - me speaking the little bit of Italian I know and my husband using the german from his school days.

The staff here are amazing friendly. They all remember your name, what your likes and dislikes are and always ask if there is anything else they can do for you.

The food is outstanding. We only booked B&B but the evening meals were so good we stayed in every night. Generally there is a buffet starter followed by a pasta course, a meat/fish course and then dessert. Once a week there is also a gala dinner where you are served sparkling wine and extra special courses.

The pool area is quite small but as the hotel is so close to the beach the pool tends to be nice and quiet.

The view from the front of the hotel is the sea/beach, the view from the rear of the hotel is of the mountains.

Stunning hotel. I have already recommended it friends and family and we will definately be returning.

Just returned from a weeks holiday

Very clean....... the maid changed towels and made beds on a daily basis. The staff are very attentive, friendly, happy and helpfull.
Food average ( we stayed breakfast only but had lunch one day and plenty of it !!!!)

The proximity of the hotel suited us perfect just out of the main town but easily within walking distance and lovely and quiet.

If you are thinking of staying do not hesitate it is worth it !!!

If you are looking for a nice relaxing comfortable place to enjoy your holidays - hotel Suisse is exactly what you need. We were pleasantly surprised by unendless kindness and helpfulness of all staff, willing to satisfy every our need at any time. Room was cleaned everyday in a proper way, generally very good impression about cleanliness on the whole. As for cuisine, mostly sweet breackfast (Italian standard), nevertheless one could always find some focaccia, cheese and salami. Lunch and dinner are both have enough options to choose from so that everybody may find the dish according to his habitudes. Must to attend the Gala dinner which usually kept on Thursday! Delicious and exquisite! Very good location near the beach, just a couple of minutes and you are reaching the golden sands. Only one small remark is that in Marina di Pietrasanta it is a general rule that cost of sunbeds is not included and turns out to be quite high, however according to local price level. Cons are surely largely superseeded by pros and we for sure be back in the Hotel Suisse.
