A 2-star hotel in a historic remodeled building that behaves like a modern 3- or 4-star hotel, the Artrip's large rooms and common area are VERY clean and comfortable. Outside balconies look over the street. Literally steps away from a huge 24-hour Carrefours supermarket. Nice breakfast selections with 24-hour coffee machine in the eating area on the first floor.
The multi-lingual staff is really kind and considerate with lots of local knowledge and recommendations.
Thank you Roberto and staff; we will not hesitate to stay here again!
The neighborhood is very pleasant, with good choices for cafes, and with a self-service laundry across the street and a good market nearby. Hotel can also provide a pocket wifi hotspot to facilitate access to information while out-and-about in the city.
We'd stay there again in a heart beat.
Miguel Ángel and Fidel and the whole hotel staffs are friendly and welcoming and always available to give any travel support and information and for any question and need.
The cozy atmosphere and the complimentary coffee and juice available in the dining area make you feel like home and always more than welcome.
The rooms are comfortable and extremely cleaned. Igiene and security measures aimed to prevent Covid-19 make you feel safe even during this weird time.
Banging below during the afternoon siesta time was annoying and someone walking about in heels all night above us was trying
Lovely room but the minimalist style may not suit everyone particularly as storage space is limited. Comfortable bed. Good AC. Excellent shower. Nice balcony window onto the street which wasn’t too noisy (4th floor)
Good, friendly, knowledgeable staff man the front desk 24 hours a day
After having to close for a while because of the pandemic, the hotel has continued to maintain its exceptionally high standard of care for all its guests. Some new staff, Javier and Emma have joined the reception team and they along with Roberto, Fidel and Hugo provide a welcome and go more than the extra mile to ensure the comfort and well being of its guests.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds are always comfortable. I have stayed in good large hotels in countries like Australia and South Africa and the showers in all the rooms at the Artrip hotel are luxurious, better than many of those large hotels. Breakfast is always something to look forward to with excellent coffee, croissants, cereals, lovely breakfast rolls, pain au chocolat, Serrano ham, cheese and a great variety of fresh fruit.
The warmth and the professionalism of the staff is the hallmark of this hotel. Brilliantly led by the manager Miguel whose sense of humour shines through in the same way as his concern for guests and his staff. He is also happy to receive constructive suggestions for improvement. However for me there is nothing to improve! I am already looking forward to my next two visits to Madrid in 2023 and the main reason is that after a day of tourism or seeing friends in the city, I know I have a lovely room to return to and know that I can relax in a place which really is home from home. Thank you, Miguel to you and all your staff.
The coffee, breakfast, and extra offerings were amazing. One day we were offered homemade soup in the early afternoon because it was cold outside. The staff had made it for the guests. It's that kind of place!
