A welcome drink was included and Albert at the front desk was friendly and helpful. You can order breakfast for 8 euros, but there are so many cafes within a block that you can venture out for some fresh croissants with your coffee.
Housekeeping was prompt and diligent in cleaning the rooms. The hotel is centrally heated or air-conditioned with no room for changing temperature in individual rooms. If the room is too hot, just open your door to the balcony - BUT you will have Tod deal with the noise outside.

We didn't pay for breakfast and quite glad we didn't as it didn't look like the best value for money. It looked yummy but for a few euros you could get a coffee and pastry from a local bakery down the road.
The hotel is very good located, despite being in the middle of the city, the atmosphere is really relaxed and chilled. The hotel stuff was nice and friendly, the room was always tidy and clean and also the breakfast is totally sufficient and good. You find a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion & shower gel in the room. It is also equipped with a safe and an air condition.
The only point that I did not like - but this is a personal thing: I had my room towards the street and there is a club across the street where people were standing outside and screaming pretty loud. I had problems to get a good sleep but as said, if you are not as sensitive as I am, I can totally recommend this hotel (or maybe ask for a room towards the backyard).
The reception was very helpful - providing me with ice for my injured foot and also making , taxi and dinner reservations for us.
The wine sold at the hotel is of a reasonable price and quality - not great but certainly satisfactory .
The hotel is quiet and we had back rooms which let us sleep with the rooms completely open. Very Good quality / price ratio .

The shower leaked every day, and due to the layout noted above this meant water on the floor in the entryway of the hotel room. The shower wasn't dirty per se but I always get grossed out when the floor of a shower has those grippy things that never seem to come clean due to other people's feet.
The furniture was dented - see photo of the side table.
For us the location didn't work out as well as we'd hoped. It was at least 30 minute walk to many of the major sites, and when we looked up public transit directions it was sometimes just as long as walking, our would only save a few minutes which to us was not worth the high cost of public transit.
Free coffee or tea would have been a nice touch and we did have this amenity in other similarly priced European hotels we stayed at on this trip.
We were there 6 nights and it was acceptable, but we wouldn't return our recommend it.
The hotel itself is lovely. The wine theme was great and the decor is fun. After a very long hot day walking around the city you can look at the very extensive wine list get a glass or a bottle. We really enjoyed the cava.
The rooms were very clean (great cleaning ladies). The size of the rooms were pretty standard for European standards, smaller by North American standards, but I didn't find it too small. Nice high ceilings. We had enough space for our needs. Comfortable beds and pillows. Strong wifi.
Location was great. A short walk to La Rambla. Quiet. Our room face the street which I was concerned about, but the hotel has very good glass doors to the little balcony that are quite effective in canceling out almost all the noise. I only heard the club across the street one night, but used my white noise app to drown it out. You could request a room that faces the back if you're an extremely light sleeper.
Overall, a fantastic stay and I can recommend this place enough! Thank you Hotel Praktik Vinoteca!!
To start off the trip they gave us the wrong room and we almost walked in on someone taking a shower. We immediately went to the front desk to fix this erroneous mistake. The front desk person wasn't very apologetic and didn't seem to concerned that we accidentally went into someone else's room. He eventually gave us the room across from the room we accidentally entered into.
None of the staff members take the time to smile or say hi to you when you enter and leave the hotel. One staff member even pocketed our money as we paid him for two glasses of wine but he still ended up charging our drinks to the room.
Lastly, the hotel constantly asked for my credit card information before our stay and even sent me an email after our stay asking for my credit card information. I found this very shady as I have never encountered this before. Thus even if this room was in a good spot with a reasonable price I don't think I would book this place again and highly recommend people stay away from booking this place.
"The terrace is kind of public so if you need quiet for meetings, is better to take the meeting in your room. The wifi good in the rooms too"Read full review
