Detailed Reviews
My husband, teenage daughter and I were traveling together and got a superior studio. It was plenty spacious, with a combined kitchen/dining and living space and adjacent bedroom with additional seating and a king-sized bedroom. The unit also included a full bath with tub, shower and blow dryer and plenty of closet space and a safe. We spent many an afternoon or evening on the beautiful rooftop terrace and found that we rarely had to share it with other guests. We loved the location in the old town near the Picasso Museum, Santa Maria del Mar, and lots of great cafes, restaurants, shops, and markets. We were easy walking distance to the park, the beach, La Rambla and the Placa Catalyuna. We could also easily walk to the metro or train station, which got us everywhere else we wanted to go. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and accommodating and the facility and room were kept very clean. We were there at World Cup time, so the noise from bars around the corner kept us up a few nights but, all in all, it was quiet. Just a tip, we took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and it was an expensive ride. If you have the time, you can easily take a train to the Franca train station which is practically across the street. You need to budget about an hour, what with the shuttle to the airport train stop, and a transfer to a different train, but it is quite a bit cheaper.

Apartment very well equipped. The furnishings were quite simple, but everything else great. Floor cleaning was very poor ... (for the price we paid I expected more, honestly). The wifi was wrong many times. And finally, we loved the location, it is very close to downtown.

Stayed here for 5 nights during our stay in Barcelona late Sept 2014. The apartment has quite modern furnishings and fit out for an old building, with exposed brick walls and beams. The staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English and most importantly there was an elevator. Probably the best feature of these apartments is the location... Borne is in my opinion the best location to stay when in Barcelona, you are right between the Old Town and Barcelonetta, surrounded by literally hundreds of amazing restaurants, and only a short walk to two metro stations. There was even a small laundry around the corner from the Hotel who washed, dried and folded our entire load of washing for only 16 euro :-)

We booked this apartment but due to lockdown it was cancelled so we could not go. However, the owners have refused to refund our money but offered us a voucher for a later date stating that it is none refundable . This is disgraceful behaviour, since they cancelled and the apartment was not available. Needless to say we will pursue a refund. I’m sure the apartment is very nice but beware of unreasonable hosts.

To me it looks like they scam people with the deposit. Before your stay you have to pay a deposit of 320€, which is rather unusual for hotels, but okay, I didn't think anything of it. When we arrived in the room, our first impression was very good - stylish apartment. A closer look, we noticed the shortcomings of the apartment. The furniture looks cheap, as if it is about to fall apart. The couch didn't seem stable, the chairs creaked so we didn't want to sit on them. On the last day of our stay, the glass plate, which was placed on the dining table suddenly broke during breakfast. It had absolutely nothing to do with us as we just put a cup at the table and had our hands on the table while eating. A table should be so stable that you can have breakfast on it without breaking the whole glass plate! This glass plate did not rest properly on the table from the start and stood over the edge.
At checkout the receptionist was friendly and I was assured that the manager would get back to me quickly regarding the deposit. After several emails to which I did not receive an answer, an invoice for 280€ (!) was only sent to me 1 month later. The remaining 40€ of the deposit was returned to me.
The glass plate which was broken looked by no means of high quality. When I contacted the same company which made the new glass plate, I got a cost estimate of only 180 € for a glass plate with the exact same dimensions,
It looks like we have been scamed. And other reviews say the same!
I do not recommend Deco Apartments! Worst and most disappointing experience ever!

Utterly disgusted to hear of two family members having property stolen from their room.
After spending their last evening out, they arrived back to find the whole safe ripped from its place.
No sign of a break in, they entered using key card and hadn't noticed any disturbance until noticing the safe had gone completely. Not to accuse staff members, but highly suspicious that the safe was missing and no one had broken in...so who else has access?
I cannot express the stress that my family were under, with no sympathy or even shock from staff. Police haven't helped atall.
Thankfully, they were sensible enough to not leave too many expensive belongings inside.
But still sat for the rest of the evening and morning trying to get an emergency passport to get themselves home as they were stolen, along side purse, wallet and keys.
After such an awful experience, they hardly felt safe in this apartment.
Avoid.

I was looking forward to staying here based upon the previous reviews and pictures and it surpassed my expectations! It can't be better located, close to two different rail options. El Born is a fabulous part of the city with all sorts of trendy shops and restaurants. Nearby the apartments is everything you need - groceries, butchers, laundry, etc. The apartment itself was wonderful. I had a studio but it could actually accommodate three people, given the sofa bed option. The bed was in a separate alcove away from the main room, so more like a one bedroom than a studio. Bathroom was great. The kitchen area had everything I needed, including a double electric burner, coffee maker, fridge and dishes, pots and pans and silverware. While I was on the first floor, it was still rather quiet (pedestrian walkway beneath, not cars) though this was off season. The windows were floor to ceiling with small balconies. The walls were stripped to brick so very attractive. i saved a lot of money by eating many small meals "at home." There is a management office with 0900-2200 hours and the folks there were very friendly and helpful. I thought this was an excellent choice and after roaming around the city for a week, would not have picked any other part of town for my stay. I highly recommend these apartments. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Nice and comfortable apartment which was ideal for our city break. Central location situated next to some nice bars/restaurants. Had a slight problem with the lights during trip and this was resolved quickly. Andrea on reception was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again and found the cost reasonable.

I had a reservation with Decô apartment during the week of October 14, traveling with my 73 year old month. On that Monday in the same week, the protests had shut down the airport and there was violence protests in the city center. Even various international government agencies including the UK government issues warnings to anyone who was visiting Barcelona during that week. Since I was traveling with my 73 year old mother, I couldn't risk taking her to the city. I had successfully canceled and received refund for all other venues in Barcelona including the initially non-refundable La Sagrada Familiar tour. I kindly asked Decõ apartment to cancel and refund my reservation due to the violent protests with the consideration of my traveling with my 73 year-old mother. They did not even try to understand my situation of traveling with an elder and refused to even consider it. They would only "consider" a refund if the protests occurs right outside the apartment. Absurd!
Note that I kindly asked them to cancel it a few days before my reservation start date, which would have started on Thursday (3 days after the protests shut down the BCN airport).
On Friday in the same week, a Barcelona strike also occurred along side with more violent protests which, per the news, had the public transportation services reduced to 50% operation service level.
WORSE:
I contacted Decô apartment again that Friday. Since I booked with Booking.com, they tricked me into canceling the reservation "in progress" on booking.com saying that they would refund me partially with me only to find out that by canceling the reservation on booking.com, I would not be able to write a review on them. This is a pure dirty trick from them and a totally disgusting move to take advantage of their customers in situation that was not under my control.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY SAY!! When you are caught in situation like mine, they would only want to take advantage of you and give you BS excuse and would trick you so that you wouldn't able to write bad reviews on them, in my case, on booking.com.
This apartment management company is despicable! I'm sure they would try to BS their way to excuse how they trick me into canceling an in-progress reservation on Booking.com in the name of providing me a partial refund (which had never happened) so that I would not be able to write them a review on booking.com.
Absolutely despicable company!!

I love this apartment find. I love everything about it. ( except maybe I couldn’t ever find my way back to apt?). But it is a perfect setup in a perfect location with a perfect surrounding. No really. I want to move here. Can I buy this apt?
Apartment is extremely clean, and well organized. Absolutely everything you could need. We were even shown where to have our laundry done as we needed a refresh. I’m spoiled! Okay, so the alleys can be a bit noisy at nite, and the blackout curtains don’t cover the full window. But. It’s perfect. Really. Shower is hot (no tub!) and the office staff was very helpful, kitchen well equipped ( ha! ..like I’m going to cook with all these restaurants around!). So, ( in my dreams), I’ll be right here in apt 22 if anyone ever needs me ever again Please don’t tell anyone how wonderful it is... let’s keep this our little secret. Shhhhhhhhhhhhh
