I had been in Barcelona this time for few days of vacation with my wife.

The location of this hotel is perfect to move in any place you wanna be in Barcelona, either because is at walking distance or because need to get there by the metro.

Anyway all the area around the hotel is one of the best of this city.

The room was very large with all the service you need. Breakfast outstanding even if it was not included in the base reservation and needed only a little extra of 9euro for two people.

There are of course many options in Barcelona, but this one is by sure among the best.
Enjoy !

We stayed here for 5 nights. We had a room on the 9th floor with a terrace which had great views. The room was huge and we had a very large bathtub which was ideal. The bed was very comfortable and very big. There is a huge window out to the terrace letting in lots of light but there were blackout curtains to keep it dark when you need it.

I have given 4 out of 5 rating as I found a few small things that could be improved on. As our room was next to the lift and also the quite near the entrance to the rooftop bar there was some noise at times, but it wasn’t too disruptive. The bathroom would be better if there were more hooks for the towels and if there was a better selection of toiletries for example hand wash instead of the little soaps.

The location of the hotel is very good and there are many places to eat nearby and easy links to the metro as well as easy to get a taxi.

We tried the rooftop bar twice during our stay, once just for a drink and another time for food and drinks, they serve small plates not full meals.

Overall we really liked the hotel and would recommend it!

We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights, everything was excellent, the room was of a contemporary design, was very clean, spaceous, quiet and with air conditioning. It has a rooftop bar which opens at 5 pm with great panoramic views of the city. It is ideally located centrally within close proximity to the metro diagonal, retail premises, coffee shops and tapas bars. The front desk receptionist are excellent providing good travel advise ensuring your stay is comfortable. Overall, if your on a short stay and want to be in a good location close to all the main attractions and good access to transport links this hotel is ideal. Thank you again Royal Passeig

I booked "bed and breakfast" and informed the hotel that I did not want to be charged separately for breakfast, The hotel charged me EUR 16.00/night for breakfast. I had never agreed to this charge or this amount. After leaving the hotel, my credit card was charged for using the mini-bar. The hotel did not inform me about this charge. This was a mistake made by the hotel. The amount charged was refunded but due to the Foreign Exchange rate I received much less than I had been originally charged. Such an unprofessional service is not expected in a hotel like this. Fortunately, Spain still provides an official Complaint Book to protect tourists

It was out 4th stay in this hotel. Before pandemic we were there also with family 3 times and very satisfied. It was our preferred hotel in BCN for its location and accessibility.
All our past reservations involved family large rooms which were very much ok.
This time our booking of 1 superior and 1 comfort room ended up with getting a comfort room with a view over a sort of elevator shift or steel wall just literally 3 meters outside of window
We made a reservation directly with the hotel an no one warned us about it. For a room of 120 eur /night off season in 4* hotel it is unacceptable
But biggest disappointment is breakfast.
I remember very nice selection of food in this hotel before pandemic. This time selection was extremely limited just 1-2 types of ham, some cheese, cereals some fruits but limited selection.
To top up - Plasticky scrambled eggs ( made of powder or something like that) and NO VEGETABLES ! In a country where immense selection of fruits and vegetables is available basically in every corner store. Generally I considered breakfast tasteless
We were there for 6 days enjoying Barcelona but definitely breakfast was not the preferred part of the day.

On the lower floors, rooms facing passeig de gracia have additional glass making stay quiet and comfortable. Rooms with terrace which we wanted, offer great view over this magnificent street but windows are not so well sealed
Before we rated this hotel 9/10 this time is 6/10 at most

Dear bednarczyk, I would like to thank you for choosing the Hotel Royal Passeig de Gràcia on your last visit to Barcelona and for sharing your experience on Tripadvisor. I would like to apologize the inconveniences suffered during your stay. All the confort rooms are interior rooms without views to the garden or city. Unfortunetely, we didn't recognize you as a repeat guest during the checkin process. On the other hand, I will pass your comments to the head of f&b department in order to check the quality of the breakfast service. I want to thank you once again for your feedback and I look forward to welcoming you back in the not too distant future. Kind regards, Patrícia Rodríguez

We stayed there for 4D/3N from jan 15-18, 2022.
2 adults & 1 child (2years old)

1. On the first day, they gave us a room that smells like paint which was on the 4th floor. Room 420 if im not mistaken. So I requested for us to be transferred to another room. The guy in the reception though admitted that they just had it repainted the day before we came. Seriously? They know upon check in that we have a child and still he gave us the room.

2. He then transferred us to 2nd floor and we noticed every time the housekeeping cleans our room and when we get back from tour, some of our stuff are misplaced.

3. January 18, 2022. Our check out day. I requested to extend until 2pm since our flight is at 530pm. We packed all our stuff and i thought all was ok, my only regret was I didn’t double check our passports. So we left the hotel at 130pm, reached the airport and the fiasco began, we do not have our passports! FYI, i never bring our passports everytime we go out the hotel. Its just inside my luggage which is in the hotel. I immediately called them, the first time was one lady hang up on me, the second time, i told her it was urgent that our passports are missing. “She” said she’ll go to our rooms (pertaining to 4th & 2nd flr rooms) and have it checked. So i stayed on the line for 15-20mins until the guy from the reception informed me that his colleague already checked both rooms and didn’t see our passports then he just cut the line. So, me and my husband decided to go back from the airport to the hotel and have it checkEd by ourselves. When we reached, I requested to this guy receptionist to give us the keys for both rooms, he said rooms are already checked by the housekeeping and if they see anything they will report it to them. He keeps on telling us that the rooms are sanitized and we’re not allowed to touch anything, we just agreed and said we just want to double check.
We first check the room at the 4th floor. My husband checked the safe, i checked under the bed not there. But then, my husband jumped to check the upper cabinet, he saw our PASSPORTS!!! take note! It is at the highest part of the cabinet and the farthest! At first i was thinking maybe my son took it and dropped it in the trashbin or something, but no! It’s there! On top! The farthest!!!! Who on earth between me and my husband will put our passports there!!! This is totally ridiculous!

So i am not and will never ever recommend this hotel.

Dear bugzny22, I would like to thank you for choosing the Hotel Royal Passeig de Gràcia on your last visit to Barcelona and for sharing your experience on Tripadvisor. It is true that we have been painting our rooms but then we block them for at least one week. We truly apologize for the inconvenience that this fact may caused you. Regarding your passports, I personally checked both rooms and i didn't find anything. Once you came back to the hotel, as both room were already cleaned, we had to follow the established procedures for this situation. When we accompanied you to the room, the first thing you looked at was on the very top of the closet ( where you inmediatally found your passports). We guarantee you that we do not have any interest on keep them with us, so it is obvius that we didn't touch them. Our main purpose will be always to help guests. Once again, thank you for taking your time writing a review on your most recent stay in Barcelona. Best regards, Guest experience

Stayed here before and loved it. Great to go for a drink after a days sightseeing on the roof terrace which is why I booked it. Also great for meeting friends. However they now rent it out for events and shut it with a days notice and not much of an apology. This is the only bar in the hotel. Unbelievable to stay in a quality hotel with no available bar.
It is also now a very popular bar that anyone can use making service slow.
They need s residents section or a priority system.
On a positive front the room was cleaned to a high standard every day and water coffee etc always replaced.

This hotel is in a great location in the heart of the city with so many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The room are very clean and we felt very safe with COVID protocols with all staff wearing face masks.

The staff were always friendly and nice. I left my purse in the taxi to the hotel and Clara at the reception desk was so helpful and helped me get it back. The man in reception greeting and helping guests with the lifts etc was so friendly and chatty and always had a lovely welcome for us everyday. Unfortunately we didn't get his name but he always made us smile.

The rooftop bar has great atmosphere and the best guacamole Ive ever tasted. A lovely place to go for a few drinks and a laid back evening.

The only minor issue we had was that the bathrooms are not very private in the bedrooms as there is a big glass wall that makes the bathrooms quite open.

Overall this hotel is worth the money and quite comfortable.

The location of this hotel was great and the staff, at both reception and breakfast, were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a nice variety of good quality foods and was served in an attractive and spacious room. The bed and pillows were comfortable. However, if a good night sleep is a priority, then avoid booking a standard (aka comfort) room. Our room (109) faced an interior courtyard from which emanated loud canned music all day, followed by party sounds from the rooftop terrace late into the night. Closing the window did virtually nothing to block the noise. Very frustrating after a long overnight flight and needing to rise early to head to the next destination!

We stayed at the Hotel Royal Passeig de Gracia in March 2023 for our anniversary for 4 nights.
We arrived on Friday, the room & bathroom was spotlessly clean, complete with complimentary water bottles, toiletries and beverages. We had our room cleaned every night we were there, bed was made, clean sheets every night, clean towels. Excellent hospitality.
The location of the hotel is pretty central, only 1 minute’s walk from Casa Mila, 5 mins to Casa Batllo & 20mins from the Sagrada Familia.
There are 2 metro stations near to the hotel, this made travelling really quick and easy. It is situated on the Passieg de Gracia, a street lined with many shops (mostly higher end) but does lead down to La Ramblas.
There is a terrace, where there is a bar and tapas restaurant. Menu is a little limited but simple.
The staff were all really helpful, they booked a taxi for us ready for our trip back to the airport. Nothing was too much for them.

Overall a fantastic stay, we would thoroughly recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Barcelona!

I'm not sure, I was on the 4th floor garden view (no terrace) with a queen bed. The room was large for European standards and the bathroom was open concept with a separate/door toilet area. I'm sure if you call the hotel they will answer any questions.
