Very social hostel in a great location. Only minutes away from La Ramblas and numerous restaurants, shops, and entertainment. Once you arrive at the hostel you will find a divided entrance that leads to reception or the bar. The bar area also doubles as the breakfast area. The breakfast is decent, various meats, cheese, and bread items, typical fare. Just past reception there will be a set of elevators taking you to the various floors. On the upper level, you will find the common area that is home to the kitchen, various seating options, computer workstation, and storage lockers. The storage lockers vary in size and cost, and accept coins or card (if the card reader is working). The rooms are an average size and the bunks are quite comfortable. There are privacy curtains, power outlet and light, and a large under bunk storage locker that you will need to use your own lock for. The biggest disappoint at this hostel is the toilet and shower situation. Depending on your room, you may have a long walk to go to reach either, and the number of toilets for the entire floor is pitiful. The design and layout of the toilets and showers can be drastically improved and the staff struggles to keep up maintaining the floors. Witnessed numerous people almost slip on the floor due to the water accumulation. That being said, there are several staff member throughout the location that make every effort to keep the location as clean as possible. Every evening there is a welcome drink for all the new arrivals and they seem to prepare sangria each time. This is a nice touch as they provide some details about the area and suggestions for what to do and see during your stay. Overall, this is an average hostel in a good location. The high points are the social aspect, location, the co-located bar that has good happy hour specials. Where the location falls short on is facilities, and that completely altered the experience.

This is the second time I've stayed at the St. Christopher's Inn Barcelona and yet again had an unforgettable experience. Adrian began my adventure with a smooth, informative check in, connecting with me from the moment I arrived. I attended the welcome reception which was hosted by Gigi & trainee, Sammy, who invited us to go clubbing later on that night. The fellow guests I met at the reception and I ended up hitting it off really well and we hung out for the rest of the night together, we even made it out to the club at 130a!

Both times I've stayed I was in a dorm, which are well equipped with privacy curtains, outlets, & a light. Underneath each bunk set there is a cage that is designated for each bed for travelers to place & lock up items. Facility is clean, well decorated with fun street art on the walls, and prime location right next to Playa Catalunya at the end of Las Ramblas St. A continental style breakfast is offered in the morning, nothing extravagant but enough to get your day started (Bread rolls, ham, cheese, cereal & milk, coffee, juice, fresh fruit etc). They have great deals with the bar, Belushi's, that is right next door/connected to the hostel.

I can't wait to visit Barcelona again!

I stayed for 4 nights and everything was great for me.
The receptionist was very welcoming and made you feel at home. The bar was great with a variety of drinks and attractive programs.I made a lot of friends and was happy with the whole thing.
Breakfast was very good and you had to pay 5 euros for it.The location was great and it was only 2 minutes to Catalonia Square It was a bus stop for the airport, a city and a taxi ride. It was only a 5 minute walk to Rambella Street.
If you are looking for a comfortable sleep, bath, and private bathroom you should head to the hotel.BUT THERE WAS VERY CLEAN.

Stayed on a group trip (9 people for 3 nights) in this well located hostel.

Surprisingly clean and really well organised.

Staff were absolutely the highlight of the place, no request was too small and they were also really friendly and genuinely just lovely people to chat to.

The bar is great value and a brilliant area for a quick drink while you plan your day or a chilled bite to eat and some drinks.

The price was super cheap and will definitely be back again as the location was absolutely ideal.

You are two minutes (or less) away from the most connected metro stops in the city and the airport bus drop off. Two minutes from Ramblas and nice tapas spots.

Having just moved to Barcelona we were looking for somewhere cheap to stay to keep our costs low. We found this hostel on Hostelworld but booked through the hostel website as it was cheaper and breakfast was included! Breakfast was the perfect continental spread (croissants, bread, cereal, cheese, eggs etc). We stayed in a 12 bed female dorm with an en suit which suited our needs perfectly. The cage system under the beds is a great way of keeping the room tidy - bring a lock for the cage! And speaking of locks, the hostel is very central and as a result has lots of safety measures in place. With our room card we can only access the ground floor, the self catering kitchen and our own floor. the safety measures in place are brilliant. The food in the bar is delicious and guests at the hostel get a discount so it's great value too! We played a few rounds of pool with the staff (special shout out to Liam and Kelly), we had a great time. The bar has many screens for showing all kinds of sports which draws in a good crowd any night of the week. The staff overall are extremely friendly and helpful at any time of the day or night. The housekeeping staff are at the top of their game, the place is spotless and extremely well kept. We highly highly recommend this hostel when visiting Barcelona.

Good security system, nice big lockers under the bed. I stayed one night but when I tried to book 2 more days the price was too high (booked for 8 euros and the next days was for 15 and 25, Friday and Saturday).

Nice bar downstairs with some good offers. Booked it from their site and I had free breakfast.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Quite expensive lockers while you wait for check in.

Beds with curtains for privacy.

I took a trip to St Christopher’s Inn with 7 of my friends and I had the best time. The room was spotless, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, in particular Bill who recommended the best places to visit, eat and drink in Barcelona. The location is a huge plus as it is right in the heart of the city, making it very easy to get anywhere in the city by foot, bike or Metro.
The bar downstairs from the Inn is incredibly lively and makes for a wonderful evening with friends. The bathrooms are just down the hall from the rooms and are very clean. I would recommend this as a place to enjoy Barcelona to its fullest.

I only stay in hostels when I’m traveling solo. This was the worse experience. Ever. Didn’t sleep a wink:
1. The mattress was as firm/soft as florist foam/oasis (not joking). The pillow wasn’t much better. Felt like the pillow was filled with old clothes/sheets.
2. I was very undecided on breakfast, but caved and fell for the hard sell on breakfast. Then I realized I had to leave at 6:30 AM, because I had a 8:00 AM train to catch. However, breakfast didn’t start until 8:00 AM. Staff refused to refund the breakfast fee paid, even though I was never advised it was non-refundable.
3. The other roommates were clashing and banging (packing) between MIDNIGHT and 2:00 AM.
4. I was surrounded by snorers.
5. Staff aren’t interested in helping or assisting with tourist-related questions.
6. Have decided my sleep, and peace of mind are worth more than saving a few dollars on hotels. I cannot, in all honesty, recommended St Christoper’s Inn in Barcelona.

I've stayed in this hostel 5 years ago, but it seems like a lot have changed. I don't mind the idea of the hostel being part of a chain and that it's not homy, but there are many things that don't add up. The common area is very small, you don't have AC outlets, an insanely small kitchen for hundreds of people with only one small refrigeretot, aka, you can´t cook anything. There wasn't even detergent for cleaning the dishes. The bathrooms really stink, and many other parts of the hostel, and when the cleaned they used like a super concetrated thing that had a really powerfull smell, and it's not nice. The staff of the hostel is OK, although some couldn't help me with some questions of the city, the laundry machine, etc. The only perks are the free breakfast (if you book directly from their web) and the rooms (the storage unit under the bed is nice). The location of the hostel is regular. I mean you are close to everything, but you are really in the middle of the crowded places, it's kind of annoyng that, I rather stay some blocks away..
I was a expecting St Christophers to give the best, but it did not :/

1. I believe they do although I've never used it myself. 2.yes sheets and a pillow is provided 3.you get a towel with your bed for free but you can buy/rent one at reception for a small fee, but again, i never needed to use this service because the towel provided was enough. Hope that helps :)

It was a good spread. Bread with jam and butter, cheese and ham, 2 types of fruit and 2 types of cereal. Milk, and an instant coffee machine. One of the better hostel breakfasts you will get.
