We spent 5 night at this hotel and it was absolutely outstanding experience! Nothing to complain about, just maybe would be good to have slippers and bathrobes in the room, but it was ok without. Staff is very helpful, they were always there and the service was like in Michelin restaurant, they were bringing things that you didn’t even ask like orange juice to make mimosa for my glass of cava, little confiture etc etc. Buffet is small but very tasty and there was everything I needed: eggs, some good quality ham, fruits, a bit of cereals etc.
I want especially admit the cleaning. Since I was working from the room while my husband was in the office - I always kept “do not disturb” sign, but at 12 every day friendly receptionist called to ask if I need a cleaning or change of towels or anything. Cleaning was also very good.
We had 40 nights with different Hiltons in 2023 and I should admit - this hotel is definitely #1 for the client service among all we visited this year and also #1 for value for money.

New hotel near the main train station, very convenient to the subway system in Barcelona. A better than average breakfast and a very helpful staff. A relatively quiet street. Not in the heart of a tourist area, but you can get anywhere quickly from their location.

We recently had a 60 hour layover in Barcelona where we have visited before. We loved Via Sants, a Hilton property. The location & proximity to transportation allowed us to get to favorite places with ease, their breakfast was lovely - especially the pot of black American coffee ready, their attention to detail such as having a flat iron with an EU plug for my wife meant we didn’t have to completely unpack - their small but well stocked lobby bar allowed us to extend the day with on last toast to the end of our 16 day EU adventure and their rooftop patio gave us one more sunrise for our lovely trip!

I’ve not been big on reviewing hotels lately, but Hotel Via Sants Barcelona was really tremendous and deserving of a 5 star review.
It’s a beautifully designed hotel. The lobby is a lovely place to be.
Juan on reception was one of the most friendly and accommodating front desk attendants I’ve ever met. The bar staff were also great and recommended restaurants close by (as well was being able to make a decent Aperol spritz)
The room was comfortable, clean and modern. The Nespresso machine is always a welcome addition. The shower pressure was excellent and you had a rainfall head or handheld shower.
I’m just disappointed we were only there for one night before a cruise. I’d love to stay there for a few nights and explore Barcelona further (we couldn’t because of lack of flights from local airport).
My one tiny (and I mean tiny) niggle with the room is ones the hanging hooks on the wall was a little loose. But it happens, someone probably hung something too heavy on it.
It’s also worth noting whilst it’s near the train station, it’s not near a lot of ��tourist’ areas. This was fine for us, we don’t mind a 45 minute walking tour to get where we’re going. The Free Now app was great for taxis, we used that to get to the port on the day of the cruise and it took about 20 mins for €18.
One final thing, don’t forget to visit the rooftop, it’s a hidden gem.

This hotel took us by surprise as it was so new we weren’t sure what to expect and although it wasn’t in the part of Barcelona we would normally stay in, we were arriving by train, so it was perfect.
From the moment we walked through the door with the very friendly and attentive staff, to the moment we left, we thought everything was perfect. Although the rooms here are not massive, they are very well kitted out and extremely comfortable. They also have hard floors, which I prefer so much to carpeted floors. The shower was especially nice and the sensor light in the bathroom very handy. The refillable toiletries were lovely and there was a pleasant fragrance through the room. The room also had a blue tooth speaker and USB and standard sockets (which you would expect from a new hotel, but don’t always get).
Breakfast is served in the small bar area downstairs and although that means there is not a massive spread of food, the quality and choice was very good indeed and we certainly did not go hungry.
We certainly plan on returning next time we are in Barcelona.

While this started off alright, it quickly turned south. The area outside was questionable and full of graffiti with no taxis nearby (even though there was a taxi stand). We asked about the restaurant and was told there wasn't one (later found out it is open for dinner and was just given wrong info). The restaurant isn't really a restaurant, it's the lobby area with a few tables, bar is limited with a few bottles. I asked about the pool that is on the rooftop Floorplan picture, and it must be a sore spot because they immediately mentioned that no where on there written documentation do they mention a pool and have no idea why Hilton has put one on there. We were told there is a rooftop, but nothing really there as the only bar is in the lobby. The rooms are very small and the front desk staff was downright rude. When asked about transferring to another hotel, we were told "No, I already checked you in so you'll need to pay for that other room." We did just that and the Diagonal Mar had much nicer people, rooms and location near shops and food, as well as a great pool area. Deceptive practices and a lack of customer service is not what I expected for a Tapestry Hilton location.

The Hilton property located in Barcelona is highly disappointing. Despite booking it with the assumption that it would meet Hilton's standards, I was immediately dissatisfied with the size of the King room. While the room itself was clean and orderly, the hotel's service was extremely poor. The breakfast selection was among the worst I have ever encountered, particularly for vegetarian individuals who had limited options. The staff displayed rudeness when simple requests, such as an omelette, were made. Shockingly, water was not provided to guests, and a small bottle would cost an exorbitant €3 when requested. Despite being a silver member, I was not granted any additional privileges. The only positive aspects of this so-called Hilton property are its location and cleanliness. This stay has completely shattered my trust in Hilton properties. I strongly advise against choosing this hotel.

The size of the rooms is 21 sq meters that is the regular size of any 4* hotel in Barcelona, I feel sorry that you did not enjoy the breakfast, As a part of the Hilton Family the hotel offers a big variety of hot and cold items with vegetarian options such salads, quinoa, sliced fruit... it is true that we do not offer a la carte requests, but you will find different eggs options on the buffet (fried, scramble, boiled and Spanish omelette). We are quite proud of our team, you can read great comments and mentions on tripadvisor about them, so I am quite surprised , but please make sure that I will check with our FB team to follow up. As a Silver Hhonors member you are entitled to 2 complementary bottle of water per stay that you will find on you room, Gold and Diamond Members have extra benefits with their tier. We stayed at the Hotel for 5 nights to visit Barcelona in detail. It is a well maintained hotel with very friendly staff. Die to the near Subway Station all areas can be accessed easily for an affordable price (42€ per person for 5 days). We enjoyed our stay very much! We visited nearly all Gaudi buildings.

All in all the hotel is nice, clean and cozy. The rooms are very small, but this seems to be the standard in most European city. Friendly staff, helpful when needed. The price was definitely too high higher for this level of hotel, but we stayed during the MWC conference so the whole city is insanely overpriced at that time. The breakfast was very good compared to similar hotels. The location also has its pros and cons - not close to the center of the city where all the shopping is (and this week there are so many sales and discount that it is a sin not to go shopping), BUT very close to the airport and the Fira Grand Via where the MWC conference is, which was critical for us at this time. The only disappointing thing was the gym - small, stuffed, very few training machines and no free weights at all.

We paid for the breakfast one morning and the scrambled eggs were so cold they literally just came out of the refrigerator. They begin serving at 8:00 AM and we were there at 7:50 AM. We knew we were early, but Juan, the receptionist, wouldn't even allow us to get water from the jug until 8:00 AM. Needless to say, we didn't attempt breakfast again.

I am truly sorry for the situation you have experienced, I think that we have misunderstood some details about the situation as a lot of people were making pressure to enter breakfast before time. By that time, I kindly ask our Breakfast Server if the people could enter into the restaurant even was earlier and the reply that i share with all the guest was the same one i received, that everything was not ready yet and we had to wait for breakfast. Maybe that reply was misunderstood confusing the breakfast with the water that we serve complimentary as we are always happy to give our guests complimentary water (even bottles , also we have been maintaining different conversations with guests at the same time, so probably the info was not receive in the right way.
