We are pizza lovers and we hadn’t found a good pizza place around l’Eixample Esquerra until Mo Te Magno came around. Though we walked passed it from time to time but just didn’t pay attention and they have been there for the past 10 years.
The place is ran by two brothers, it’s small but cozy and homey. Openly and friendly service, easy to communicate with. One of the brothers speaks Spanish, Italian and some good English, the other brother spoke to me in Italian.
We ordered our pizza and pasta Bolognese to go, while waiting we chatted with Daniele while he’s preparing the food. We ordered a spicy sausage pizza and he added more of a special spicy sauce. He told us if we wish for something special like clams spaghetti just let him know a few days in advance and he can prepare it.
When we got home and started to eat the pizza, wow, it was truly delicious 😋 lovely dough with tasty spicy sauce from Italy. It was the best pizza we have ever eaten since forever. We immediately went back for a second pizza, it’s not a pizza size for two unless you usually eat two pieces only on a pizza.
We are glad that we found a neighborhood place with excellent and authentic pizza to enjoy. They do have an extensive menu but we will try over time.
We will definitely tell our friends and bring them to this little gem when we’re in town.

Tiny local place. Opposite the old prison which is being demolished in a residential area not far from Sants Station you are very unlikely to just come across it, you need to find it . It’s run by a couple of brothers which is probably why it’s surviving the lack of tourists it relies on in the summer due to the COVID 19 situation when the locals are gone. One thing about Spain is they aren’t really open to foreign food which is all highly dumbed down .....like not spicy curries and Thai food which after a while can grind you down a bit . The one food that the Spanish have adopted is Italian food and even a fairly authentic version of it . This place is a real gem. We had the best Pizzas we have had in Barcelona and there are over a thousand choices. They do a full range of Italian food but based around Pizza and Pasta of course and will make special items to order with a days notice . It’s not a smart place when we were there we had a takeaway and it was very hot as the AC was off but you can sit outside, you can watch the football it’s going to be on but it is an excellent family place with excellent food served by a very likeable family .

Great small spot with delicious italian food. I had pasta del chef which was tastefull, and my menu included appetizer and desert or coffy for great price. Great authentic atmposphere. I would recommend 👌🏻

We are regulars at Mo Te Magno whenever we are in town as they have the best spicy pepperoni pizza that we could find in Barcelona. Their thin and crunchy crust pizza is filled with their own spicy sauce, amazing! Homemade tiramisu WOW delicious, not too sweet just how it should be. Run by two brothers from southern Italy, one takes care of the outside and the other is the chef. Very pleasant and friendly service as always. We always look forward to dining at amo Te Magno.

A very small and busy Italian neighbourhood restaurant near Sants station. I’d certainly recommend booking if you want to go as we could only get an outside table which was a bit dark and chilly as we were in Barcelona in April.
We had a lovely garlic focaccia to start followed by a mix of pizzas and pasta. All cooked to perfection. We had to wait quite some time for the dishes to arrive though.
Drinks were cheap, a very nice glass of dry white was only 2.50 euros!
Great value though and would definitely return but would book beforehand.

Totally enjoyed the meal. We ordered a starter of cheese/ham/bread) followed by a main course of Risoto ( for 2 pax); Spegetti Carbonaro; Spegetti special. Felt like we were back in Italy. Worth to consider hoping back for more. A special note that servings were huge, so order carefully.

Went here with friends based on the tripadvisor reviews and at first we didn't know what to expect. It's a small local restaurant where we ate with 9 in total. Interior is a bit old, but very cosy with great and friendly people working here. Food service was fast and we all had the best Italian food we ever had. Only downside was that it was hot as the AC was off, but generally the food compensated everything. We would recommend this to everyone searching for a great Italian restaurant in Barcelona.

After reading pizza reviews on TA, I settled on mo te magno since it was not too far. It was about 3:00, which is lunchtime in Barcelona, so it was crowded , Also because it is quite small. There are a few tables outside as well . No English menus or English speakers, but I am as able to order beer and pizza with no difficulty. Pizza was delicious, beer tasty and cold. Good size pizza and draft beer beer and as only $12.00 usd, including a free lemoncello shot! Definitely recommend
