Considered as part of Barcelona's cultural heritage in itself, this historic building dates from the 19th century and is situated in the city's ancient Gothic Quarter. The setting of the H10 Raco del Pi makes it ideal for exploring the narrow streets of the most atmospheric area of the city - the Gothic Quarter. Here you will find the Cathedral along with a wide range of shops, galleries and restaurants. Only 100 metres away is the vibrant Las Ramblas, and 300 metres away is the central Placa Catalunya. On arrival you will be greeted with a glass of cava, before continuing into the charming and traditional inner courtyard. The historic building has been brought up to date with features such as a glass-walled atrium and cooling parquet floors in each room.

We were glad to have booked this hotel as it was the hottest holiday we have so far. The temperatures was soaring but because the hotel was so central, we could go back and have a quick shower, rest in the air-con room and then be ready for the next foray. Staff were extremely friendly and there is always someone at the reception in case you need any assistance. Well done H10 Raco De Pi. Oh yes and it is near the final stop if you are taking the aerobus from the airport.

Back to the Raco del Pi for 2 nights while in Barcelona , it’s a super hotel , right in the middle of everything, minutes from the aerobus stop in Plaza Catalunya and all the shops, sights, restaurants and bars are on your doorstep.

Room this time was on the 4th floor facing the back, the room was surprisingly big, the bed clean and comfortable, wi-fi was free and easy to connect to . The bathroom was equally spacious no tub but had an easy to use shower. Lots of soaps and gels as you would expect from the H10 chain. As it was facing the rear it was perfectly quiet, the only noise was from fellow guests in the morning when they left their room.

Breakfast is included if you book a room only rate on the H10 website, and it’s excellent, top marks to the kitchen, excellent bacon and eggs both mornings. Nice bread basket, easy to use coffee machine , selection of juices , fruits , cheese and sliced meats , everything to start your day.

Staff were all super friendly, the welcome cava on checking is a nice touch and nothing was too much trouble and happy to help with anything. Until next time !!

This hotel’s room reservation policy of not requiring a credit card deposit immediately gave me positive vibes. Upon checking in I met Maxim, a host with superb people skills. She let me inspect two rooms to determine which was the better fit. I chose a room with a firm bed, tiled shower and bidet, big windows that actually opened wide to fresh air, and a mini-fridge.

The free daily breakfast is very good; eggs cooked to order, bacon, toast, a tasty variety of fresh fruit, pastries, tapas and a coffee machine that offers a ton of choices.

The location near Las Ramblas and the iconic Cathedral is also walking distance to Metro stations and Plaza Catalunya. There is no lack of eating, drinking and shopping opportunities nearby. The Old City charm here is palpable; this hotel is a great value.

Stayed for 5 nights in a standard double, and to begin with the location is amazing! Such a short walk from Aerobus at Playa de Catalunya, same 3 minutes to Ramblas and Barcelona Cathedral, and whilst so central, it's nice and quiet in the middle of the Gothic Quarter.
We booked via H10 website and got free breakfast included, it was fine but felt a bit repetitive after a few days.
They do free coffee and tea with pastries from midday till 8 p.m. in the bar area - we only found out on day 3 as no one mentioned it at check in, which was a bit of a shame.
Standard double room was spacious, bathroom was nice. H10 has all necessities included: from dental kit to shampoo and conditioner.
Lots of caffees, bars, shops and restaurants around within 10-15 minute walk.
Will definitely stay there again and can only recommend.

The location is great: about 5 mins walk from Playa Catalunya which is ideal if you get Aerobus from the airport or want to use public transport; less to the cathedral in one direction and the market in the other. Walking distance to the port too. The area is safe to wander in the evening and has plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is very clean, with modern furnishings and all the staff are helpful, friendly and polite. As mentioned to reception I was very impressed that on one day when a lightbulb was flickering in the bathroom (but I'd forgotten to mention) housekeeping staff had noticed and got it fixed by the time we returned to our room. Sometimes even 5* hotels don't have staff who take such pride in their work and the service they provide. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection and plenty for everyone. The cava on arrival and help yourself to free coffee and pastries in the afternoon were touches we appreciated. Our room (309) was at the back with window onto the interior coutyard and was a good size for 2 and the beds comfy, bathroom roomy with powerful and easy to use shower. We were able to leave luggage safely after check out too. All in all an excellent choice (helped by previous posts) and I have no hesitation in recommending further. Well done to all the team.

We stayed at this hotel while visiting Barcelona for a Christmas city break travelling with Jet2.

Location:
Really great location, about a 10-15 minute walk from the last aerobus (airport bus) stop, down a lovely street in the gothic quarter that is fairly quiet in the evening. Being so central, it meant we could pop back to the hotel throughout the day if we needed to drop off any purchases or get a coat as it cooled down in the evening. About an 8 minute walk to the closest metro station (Liceu).

Staff:
All staff were very pleasant and helpful, always greeting us as we walked through reception. Check in was easy, we were asked whether we wanted a room with a shower or bath as there were lots of rooms free; we said we didn’t mind as long as there was a shower. I just asked for the nicest room they had available and we were given room 403 (more on this later). We asked for recommendations for dinner on our last night and were given a very thorough recommendation that came with a free glass of Cava on arrival at Mesón Jesus which is a short walk away.

Hotel:
The hotel is very clean and tidy, there are some parts that seem really modern and then some parts seem a little dated but it is still nice and definitely functional. There is a lift and a sun terrace, as well as complimentary tea and coffee for guests during the day, but no bar.

Room:
This part was a little disappointing, we were excited about being on the 4th floor (room 403) but when we let ourself in found that there was no proper window and instead a small window at floor level and 2 skylights. It didn’t look at all like the rooms in the advertised pictures, and I wish I had taken photos but completely forgot. This wasn’t enough of an issue for us to complain about, just a little disappointing. The room was perfectly functional and modern though, and we were comfortable as we didn’t spend much time in there. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of space in the wardrobe. The bathroom was clean with plenty of room, and lots of toiletries and complimentary bits you might need. One thing to note (and I don’t know if this is the same for all rooms) is that the walls are quite thin and the water system is quite loud, so we were woken up by our neighbours running a bath at 5:30 in the morning.

Breakfast:
The breakfast had a good continental selection of bread, pastries, meats and cheese, vegetables and fruit, yoghurt and cereals. You could also have eggs scrambled, fried or an omelette and bacon cooked fresh. We ate this on the first day but chose to eat out for the rest of our stay so that we could experience more of Barcelona. The breakfast restaurant is quite small and cramped but the waitress was very attentive and efficient so it wasn’t a problem.

Overall:
We enjoyed our time in Barcelona and at this hotel, and would stay again but probably request a different room.

The location in the old town, on a side street, in Barcelona was excellent. Easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go, both in the old part of the city and the new. And it was mostly quiet with the windows closed. Unfortunately, the rooms we were assigned, 105 and 107, looked nothing like the photos and in fact were both quite small, and dark. 105 had the refrigerator right near the window, which took up what little space was there for one suitcase. Fine for one person, too cramped for two. There wasn’t even a chair in either of the rooms, except for the one at the desk and it was inaccessible because we had to put one of the suitcases there. No place at all for two suitcases, so we had to completely unpack one of them and put everything away. Not really a practical thing for three days. Alicia at the front desk was the best - she had great suggestions for restaurants and tapas places, and was so friendly and helpful, whenever we saw her. The guys in the morning were much more interested in chatting among themselves than in helping us. We were there late March and the weather in Barcelona was about 65 degrees, really perfect for touring. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning in the room because it was not the right season, and the heat had also been turned off. That meant that there was no way to get air in this small, cramped space. And, although there was a window, it was not operable. The windows weren’t operable because we were on the first floor and they said it was for safety. We did not eat at the buffet so no comment on the food. However, coffee was not available for guests until 1 in the afternoon, for “teatime” unless you ate the buffet which was pretty expensive. There were many nearby places for breakfast, much less expensive as well. Since this place is in Rick Steve’s book, my sense is that the people who work here are just tired of Americans and don’t really want to interact much with us. The bathroom had a terrific shower with great water pressure, but a shelf or two is needed so people have a place to put their toiletries.

Dear Guest: Thanks for giving us your opinion. First of all, we are glad that you enjoyed our central location and we thank you for your kind words about Alicia from the reception team. Secondly, we are sorry that the hotel and the rooms assigned were not to your liking. Thirdly, we have been working with the Rick Steves guide for 21 years and the US clients are the majority of our clients. Your sensation is not correct. We love the American clients and if they continue to visit us it will be because we treat them correctly and properly and they like the hotel. Please don't say we're tired of them. We are delighted with them. Greetings.

My daughter & I spent 4 nights at the hotel. It is situated in the beautiful gothic quarter with its beautiful labyrinth of narrow streets. The Reception staff are amazing. They were really friendly & helpful, provided great restaurant recommendations. We were offered a glass of cava on arrival & were provided with bottled water & chocolates in our room. We had a front facing, first floor room with 2 balconies. The room was bright & airy. My only complaint was the noise at night as the windows aren’t double glazed. We booked bed & breakfast for our stay & the selection on offer was very good. We were also offered cooked eggs & bacon each morning. The hotel also provides complimentary tea/coffee & cakes every afternoon, which was very welcome after a day of sightseeing. We loved our stay & would definitely stay here again

We loved this hotel. It's perfectly located, just off La Rambla, and close to Metro stations.
Check-in was quick and easy - Al was friendly and efficient, and told us everything we needed to know. Through our stay we asked questions about the local area, the Metro system and where to eat, and the staff were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Our room, like the rest of the hotel was clean, modern and cool. The beds were very comfortable too. The are no tea- making facilities in the rooms but complimentary tea, coffee and pastries are available (just help yourself) and there's a lovely courtyard on the first floor to sit out. We used the laundry service (just for a couple of items) which was reasonably priced and very efficient.
The breakfast area is clean and bright. There was plenty to eat, a good choice of high quality pastries, cereals, cheeses, fruit etc.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would certainly recommend it.

Two of us stayed at the H10 Raco Del Pi for 3 nights during July. We landed at Barcelona airport, took the Aerobus to Plaça de Catalunya and then walked around 5-10 minutes down to the hotel. It was very easy to locate.

The hotel is located within the Gothic Quarter which is near to many of the tourist spots. I felt very safe at night walking to the hotel (the Quarter was quiet around 11pm).

Upon our arrival we were greeted by a friendly gentleman and had to pay city tax (around $6 per night). We were offered free glasses of cava which we could 'redeem' at any point during our stay.

Our room was on the 4th floor, right near the elevator. Initially I was concerned as I thought this would be noisy with other guests walking by, however we didn't hear a thing throughout our stay.

Our room was roomy, bright and comfortable. There was a safe, TV, hairdryer and plenty of towels. The mini bar isn't weighted which is great as you can store your own drinks. Before our arrival we also requested a double bed which was allocated to us.

The only downside to our room is that we didn't have any windows, however we weren't going to be in the room much so this didn't bother us.

On the second day my partner was gifted a box of chocolates as it was his birthday! I'm not sure if this is a standard practice as I had contacted the hotel beforehand to see if they could arrange anything special.

Breakfast was included in our stay through Jet2.com. There was a range of food including fruit, yogurt, pastries, cereal and toast. You could also order bacon and eggs (omelette, scrambled etc) which came very quickly. There was also a range of fruit juices as well as hot drinks.

Overall our stay was very pleasant - I'd definitely recommend this hotel!

We found the area to be very safe. Well lit walkways, lots of bars and restaurants open late, and lots of foot traffic well after dark The hotel is in a very populated and popular area. Plus, this hotel has someone on the desk 24/7, unlike many hotels today. I suggest getting their direct number stored in your phone and call with any questions or concerns. They are incredibly helpful.

Taxi drops you off less than 5 mins away & the driver who spoke limited English gave us directions. If your luggage has wheels the area is pedestrianised so easy to pull cases. It really wasn’t difficult to get to or find.
