The H10 Itaca is ideally situated in the heart of the Eixample neighbourhood, very close to Sants Station (AVE) and the Montjuïc exhibition centre. You´ll be impressed by the hotel´s recent refurbishment with modern and innovative touches to the front entrance, Front Desk and Lobby Bar. The hotel´s new features include a plunge pool on the revamped Chill-Out Terrace and the Itaca Restaurant, which offers select signature cuisine in the evenings

A great location by one of the main train stations if you don't mind being a little bit out of the hustle and bustle. The renfe train took us right from the airport to Sants Station (estacion) then a 5 minute walk to the hotel. We got a ticket for 10 uses throughout our 4 day trip this could be used on the buses, metro and renfe train. We used the metro a number of times really easily. We were greeted by Alex, who was very happy to help and handed us a cold drink as we arrived. Our room was really nice, with hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel - if I had known I wouldn't have packed it all! Pool area was nice to use in an afternoon after a day out being busy. The arenas shopping centre 10 minutes walk from the hotel had a number of really nice restaurants at the top with 360° views of the city. Bottom floor had some great ice cream for dessert too! The magic fountains weds- Sunday 9.30 - 10.30 are a must see just another 5 minutes walk.

Great small and friendly hotel , spotlessly clean , friendly and helpful staff and attention to detail up there at the top end of the scale .
Room 705 was one of the best rooms I have stayed in , it was a Junior Suite and was well worth the extra money that was paid .
Welcome drink on arrival , nice cosy little bar and lovely small outside pool and seating area .
Location is perfect , 25 minute walk to the Camp Nou in one direction and 25 minute walk to La Ramblas in other direction , but also plenty to do in the L’Example area around about 7/8 minute walk to the amazing Bull Ring shopping centre with plenty of shops and restaurants .
Overall a brilliant city , great Hotel , I would definitely return .

When in BCN I usually stay at the H0 Cubik, the location is perfect. On this occasion I chose the Itaca I was running the marathon, so wanted the sort 10 minute walk to the start / finish. For that purpose, and the train station the hotel is perfectly located. However, until marathon day there was little positive I could say about the hotel. The room was classic H10, large and clean. However, it could easily have fitted a chair to sit in, rather than just the bed. The internet is absolutely awful, it is so erratic. As I was having an early start on marathon morning I brought my own porridge. For the 1st time ever I was told I couldn't have a kettle and would have to get my hot water from the coffee machine - didn't leave a nice taste, literally. However, the worst was how noisy the hotel is. The road is ridiculously noisy. I that didn't wake me from my sleep people letting their doors close any time from 01:00 - 03:30 certainly did. If you stay here bring ear plugs. There were some good points, though unfortunately not enough to make me stay again. The towels were so soft, they made having a shower much more enjoyable. The chocolates left on the 1st night were delicious, though frustrating didn't get fresh water each day (like at the Cubik). Upon returning from the marathon the hotel had a table for the runners consisting of fruit, snacks, and drinks. I've traveled the world for runs, and never had this before. And finally I received a good late checkout.

We planned a short trip to Barcelona, fairly last minute and found this great little hotel as part of the H10 group. Initially I selected the hotel as the price was amazing - unusually I booked directly as this meant we had breakfast included in our stay. Although we were ‘out of season’, we got incredibly lucky with the weather so had an 18 degree weekend with sunshine and blue skies in December! Plenty of great food from the local eateries and an easy commute from the airport via the bus to ‘Espanya’....literally took about 25 minutes and was just under 6 euros. The hotel itself is clean, beds were comfortable and had the room was a good size. The choice at Breakfast was also great with a good selection of both hot and cold food as well as covering specific dietary requirements in terms of milk alternatives, cereals and plenty of options if you are vegetarian. During warmer months there is a lovely outdoor area with a pool....despite the sunshine it wasn’t warm enough to test this time! And there is also nice lobby/lounge area for cocktails or a night cap! Not sure how prices fluctuate throughout the season, but worth keeping an eye on if you find yourself in a similar position to ours! Enjoy!

Stayed at hotel10 itaca Barcelona. Checkin was quick and easy greeted with glass of champagne on arrival. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms clean and spacious. The range of toiletries excellent idea. Breakfast very wide choice and very tasty. Stay well worth money would highly recommend, would definately atay again.

Very good hotel, clean quiet rooms. Ask for room higher up overlooking back. Road at front busy and noisy. No noise from other rooms and air conditioning worked well. It was hot weather in September. Comfy bed and nice bathroom . Lots of toiletries in bathroom, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, toothbrushes etc. Good shower over bath. Tea/coffee tray. Breakfast good choice and all the food gets topped up even towards the end of service. We like being near Sants Station, easy to use the train and metro and buy a ticket for 10 rides for 11 euros, a bargain.

We were booked into this hotel for 2 days by our T/A, and we had booked another 3 days as well. We arrived after a 40 hour trip from home and we were very tired. The young man on reception was not very helpful (even though I had requested early check-in). He was on his own and it was busy. But he seemed to mind that we were staying in the foyer. After 2 hours he allocated us our room and gave us our key. My husband asked who would bring our many suitcases up and his one word answer was "YOU". Luckily there was a lift. We managed to get all our luggage up to the 4th floor and our room (406) was very very small. Just a large bed with very little room to walk around, not even a chair. We just fell asleep for a while and then we left to do a little walk around the area to check it out.. The railway station was very close indeed. When we came back there was a lovely young lass (Laura) on Reception and when we went up to her and told her we weren't happy she immediately started looking at the computer and said "do not fret, I have a much better room for you. It is on the 7th floor and I will come up to help you to take all your luggage to the new room". What a lovely lady. She did as she promised and helped us move our stuff. And she was right. The room was larger, had a lovely armchair in it and we were much happier. We stayed in that room for 2 nights, then we left for 3 nights, and when we came back we were given another room on level 7. So grateful to her and some other Reception staff. The young fellow we encountered first is definitely not cut out for reception work. The breakfast was great. Lots of fabulous food (my husband loved the Jamon) and it was in a nice room. The gentlemen who ran the bar most of the time was funny. We liked him. He made some nice cocktails and sangria and the food they serve was great. Their croquettes were small but lovely. Even though it was not near the Plaza de Catalonia, or Las Ramblas, it was pretty central for us to take taxis (cheap as chips) everywhere. We would stay here again.

Stayed here for 3 nights in November 22, and couldn't fault it. Five minute walk from Sants Railway Station, and on bus route into the city. Hotel was nicely decorated for christmas, staff very friendly and helpful, rooms nice and cozy with large flatscreen tv on wall, comfy beds, and lovely touches all around. For instance, coffee machine in room was always topped up every morning with milk and coffee, shaving, toiletry kits in little boxes in bathroom. Rooms cleaned, and beds made everyday. One evening i answered a knock on the door , to be greeted by a cleaner who gave me a little box of Ferrero Roche choccies . How nice is that ! I was on 3rd floor. Lifts were very efficient with digital displays outside indicating when one was on its way, and which floor it was on. If i had to pick a little fault, the eggs for breakfast were often dried up, and one morning, no beans ! lol One previous review mentions the pool being shallow, well yes it was, but its November, and i wasn't there to swim !.The hotel is situated a little bit outside of the city centre, so most places are a 45 minute walk to get to. As i prefer to walk, it was no problem for me, but the hotel has great public transport links. I would highly recommend this hotel, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.

4 of us stayed here in April. The hotel was lovely and clean, and the pool area is very pleasant. Most staff were very friendly, apart from a rude security guard. Fantastic maid service, lovely clean room every day, and great Wi-Fi. The rooms are however quite small, and we found the location to be poor. Great proximity to the train station, and hop on hop off bus, close to airport, and close to football ground. However, it was a very long walk down to the beach, and Las Ramblas. If we returned to Barcelona again, we would look for a hotel closer to the busy parts. I was also pleased our rooms were on the back of the hotel overlooking the pool, as I could imagine it would be loud on the front due to the road.

We stayed in this hotel both pre and post cruise with friends 2 who have already reviewed this hotel. Main points: very small rooms Very noisy air con Very expensive bar drinks for area Rude evening bar staff
Upon our return to the hotel post cruise I fell through the very poor maintained and fitted decking. I have already avoided 1 part of the decking as a friend pointed this out. took 2 steps down from the pool and was about to put my foot on the decking when it went straight through about 12 inches. I fell forward in shock. Another customer went in to inform reception who came out. apologized with ice and water and asked what could they do. I just asked for my room to be ready (this was 2pm) so I could go and rest. I was given room 206 very small and very noisy air con. They did offer to take me to hospital and asked if there was any thing to do to help. My disgust is not 1 person from management came to me and offered any apology. each time I was in the lobby they kept sending the receptionist over. So Pablo Torreblanca where were you when I had a mishap. It was not a mishap it was very poorly fitted decking which on my opinion should be ripped up and replaced as is extremely unsafe. if I had fell any other way I could have broken my leg or my friend walking behind me could have fell on me. I now have a nasty cut across my leg which could possibly scare. I am just glad this did not happen before cruise. To add insult to injury my friend got a much larger room and came home that night to a bottle of cava and 2 chocolates which I believe where intended for me.

First of all I would like to apologize for the issue at the terrace during your last stay with us, fortunately no medical assistance was required, sorry for not being able to assist you personally on site as I was not at the hotel that day. As previously replied to your colleagues, the entire floor terrace has been inspected and the piece of wood repaired. However I would like to elucidate upon your remarks with complimentary information. We have several types of rooms at the hotel and your travel agent booked basic rooms for your group. You were all accommodated in the room type that you had confirmed. Please, address these comments to your travel agent as they did not fully inform you. As agreed with them, one of your colleagues was given a complimentary room upgrade and hotel amenities by us. This is the reason why they had a different room type. No comments in regards with air cond were made on site. I have personally checked the room you were allocated and the air conditioning is working properly.
