Excellent value for what you get. Rooms though could need updating and improving with the flooring coming slightly loose. Great addition with having the rooftop pool. Hotel lobby is air conditioned and smells great, which is good as when it’s hot outside is great to enter. Didn’t eat breakfast although it looked popular anyway

The hotel itself was very nice and clean with a modern decor, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for four days and had the breakfast downstairs every morning, which was very delicious with a variety of savoury and sweet items.
The room had air con which kept it nice and cool throughout the day, and the bathroom had a standard bath shower with nice water pressure. The pool on the roof has an amazing view looking out on the beach.
Overall our stay was amazing, would definitely come back and would absolutely recommend :)

We stayed here for 4 nights and we really liked the hotel. The general decor of the communal areas was homely and modern. The food served in the restaurant was decent as well as the breakfast options which included 4 types of plantbased milks to choose from...rice/soya/oat/almond. Our room was adequate although could have been cleaner. There was a pair of worn socks on the floor and despite mentioning it's location to to reception, it was still not removed when our room was cleaned. The only issue i had with this hotel is that there is building works being carried out which commence at 8am every weekday morning, so having a lie in is impossible. I felt it was unfair that this is not mentioned when booking and i would likely not have booked here if i had known.

Hotel good reception staff very friendly. Rooms were large with superking bed which was comfortable. There is no plug socket next to the only mirror in the room. Bathroom needs work black in grouting and roof tile above shower looked like it might fall in. Shower very good though. There was a body and hair wash dispenser in the shower but it was empty Breakfast ok only hot food was scrambled egg with a slice of fatty bacon and hot dog. Nothing was hot barley luke warm. Then usual cold meats cheeses and cakes. We tried to order a smoothie from their menu but the bar tender looked at me blankly as if he didn’t know what one was. That was even pointing to the item on the menu. Cleaning staff need a retrain firstly only pulled sheet up and threw blanket and bed runner on chair. Never replaced paper cups or dirty towel she took from room. Lid fell of kettle first use. Windows are filthy, no excuse as they open all the way in to clean the outside. Which I feel is a bit dangerous if you have kids as the windows are huge with chairs infront of. We were on the fifth floor. The TV doesn’t have any English speaking channels apart from French News (go figure ). Room service was good and prompt
The area is ok apart from the smell, graffiti and litter. Short walk to beach and street with loads of restaurants. There’s a bus stop just outside and a taxi rank just around corner.
Parking is available but the charge €20 a night which is a bit steep. You can park on the street if you can find any spaces. There is a very small pool on the roof a couple of strokes and your across it. We didn’t use it as weather was rubbish. Overall would I stay here again no, but then I wouldn’t go to Barcelona again. They charge more for cigarettes in the shops than they do in the airports. We ate on a few places and they were all good.
The large Cathedral is beautiful but quite expensive to go in which we did. It’s taken them over 100 years to build it.

Half of the rooms have lovely sunset views of the city, half gave noisy views of a HUGE building site which starts work at 8am,

The homeless community next to the hotel.. which is fine except that they are allowed to come to the entrance and beg for money from you.

The room was not very clean and there were apple seeds and crumbs under the chair. Dust all over the light switches. Bodily fluids up the wall and painting. The whole room smelled of fresh sweat when I arrived, including the linen, as if the cleaning staff had hygiene problems, and I had to air the room for two hours to get rid of it. There is no rubber mat in the bath which is very dangerous as the bath is very slippery. I asked for one, but was sent a towel, which didn't help. There is no bidet or walk-in shower so you have to step into the bath. In general, the room was fine, but the cleaning does not inspire confidence in the times of COVID.
The other issue was the room service. I asked for two big bottles of water to be sent up, and was barked at that he couldn't help me, that I had to go to the restaurant. Lucky for me I speak Spanish because he just said "Dime" when he answered and had not one kind word or courtesy for me. I don't know what other foreigners would have done trying to order room service, as there was nobody else there. Again, in the times of COVID I should be able to call down for drinks and have them brought to the room, especially as I was charged 7 Euros for 2 litres of water. I would not have stayed here longer than a few days because of these things.
The reception staff were very friendly, and easy to get to places from there, but this hotel is very convenient for the beach area, not for the centre. Barcelona is bigger than you imagine. A good shopping district nearby in Poble Nou.

My boyfriend & I travelled to Barcelona in December from the UK & stayed at the hotel. When checking in we were told we could upgrade for €70 if we liked, which we did! We got a jacuzzi bath, shower & a balcony, lounge area(little sofa’s), unlimited topped up drinks everyday! Well worth the money! We had a brilliant stay in a king size bed & it was very clean. Breakfast was a nice selection too. The only downside was the area- not many bars/restaurants around therefore we paid for so many taxis €6+ everytime we wanted to go for food(catalonia square), also the pool was smaller than expected on the roof top- big enough to be a kids pool, not many loungers and no bar. We didn’t use so we wasn’t too bothered but during the summer months please be aware of this) fairly close to a long strip/beach which would be nice in the summer months. Overall excellent stay!

Hotel very clean and pleasant. On our arrival to the room, there was a very strong stale smell of cigarettes. (Even myself being a smoker it smelt unpleasant). We went downstairs and asked for the room to be changed as the smell was becoming unbearable. We changed rooms to a further room which stank to high heaven of cannabis. Now, I know this is nothing to do with the hotel, as I'm sure they cant help rude customers who cant be arsed to go downstairs to the smoking area. Apart from that, rooms are clean, nice views, shower is great. Beds very comfy, tele has not much option of english tele, however I knew this after reading previous reviews and brought my ipad.
The evening meals were gorgeous and breakfast was great for me (plenty of serrano, salami and manchengo.) Drinks were reasonably priced.
I dont think we would return as quick for another visit if it wasnt for Javiar the barman/waiter. What a friendly warm hearted man! His english wasnt great but he tried and my spanish wasnt great so we laughed about that together. He is a lovely man and we would love to sit with him and have a pint together.
We went in the pool at the end of november just to say that we had, mind you would not recommend it was really cold as expected :)

As we arrived (by taxi) we were hit by the smell of sewage right outside the hotel. Check in was slow, with just one person working at reception. We were already aware that they had refused to refund one of our rooms which we could not fill due to Covid. OK< this is their written policy, but under the global problems of the pandemic, it would have been a nice gesture to refund the money. Instead they offered to keep the cost of the room on credit for 12 months. Rooms are basic but functional, and clean. Not much in the way of soap provided though. One small sliver of hard soap by the sink and one squeezy bottle in the shower of body/hair soap. During a shower, the water went to incredibly, and unsafe, hot ! Nothing could lower the temperature. Not great when you are covered in soap. Same happened again following day, thsi time when covered in shaving foam. When informing reception, we were just told it was a problem across the whole hotel. Next day they did put a small box of 4 chocaltes in the room. Breakfast quality was OK. Pool on roof is nothing like the picture. Consider it a plunge pool only and it gets very full. Standing room only.

Would highly recommend reasonable priced hotel modern and helpful staff. Stayed here for a first time long weekend couples visit to Barcelona. Location out of town but 15 minute total travel time to turn centre marina/las ramblas including 5 minute walk to llacuna metro stop then 5/10 minute journey. Cheap travel €10 for 8 single metro trips with famila ticket with trains running until 12 at night. Used metro for transport all week to all tourist locations including nou camp, parc guell, sagrada familia etc 10 minute walk to beach and also nice marina a further 10 minute walk. No requirement to travel into town every night as plenty of restraunts just round the back of the hotel on the Main Street to the beach. Breakfast was spot on continental mainly good donuts and fresh fruit. Hotel has a great pool area on the top floor pool large enough for a cool down before going on sunbeds in astro turf area always managed to get a bed and sunbathe in the afternoons after long days walking and sight seeing across the city.

There is no need to take a taxi. You can go on the train to Barcelona to Sans station or Passaic the Gracia even better, and then take the yellow line L4 in the La Pau direction. Get off at Llacuna or Poblenou. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the metro station. I recommend that you download the Barcelona metro app. You will show you the route once you type in the start and end point. Good luck and enjoy your stay :)
