Hotel's Favourite
Now that this hotel has converted from Paradise Pier Hotel to Pixar Place Hotel there were a lot of fun Pixar touches including the statue in the lobby. Customer service was excellent. Room was clean and kept that way. Large room with plenty of storage. Bathroom had that annoying sliding door that hotels favor these days instead of a real one so if that's a privacy issue beware of that. We had an excellent view of California Adventure across the street. This is very close walk to the two Disney Theme Parks and the other two on property hotels as well as Downtown Disney and other local places. We drove to Target to get a 12 pack of soda for our cruise. There was a coffee shop that had pastries in the morning, some snacks in the gift shop and the Great Maple as the main restaurant. This used to be less expensive than the other two hotels on property but now is the same as the Disneyland Hotel.

My kids (14 and 12) and I stayed here for 5 days over Spring Break. Check-in was quick and efficient and the woman at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in a regular room (the least expensive room category) and there was plenty of room for the three of us and our luggage. We each had our own sleeping space, with two queen beds and the couch. The bathroom was also spacious. Housekeeping did a great job of making sure the room was very clean and it was always serviced by the time we came back from the parks to take an afternoon break.

The hotel and rooms are not luxurious (don't expect Four Seasons quality), but they are nice enough and you are definitely paying for the proximity to Disneyland and the Disney theme of the hotel. Since I was traveling solo with my kids on this trip, personal safety was a primary concern and I always felt very safe not only in the hotel, but walking to and from the parks, even in the dark, at night when they closed. Disney security is present and visible (very much appreciated!!) and it seemed like only hotel guests were using the walkway back to the hotel.

My able-bodied kids and I didn't think the walk was long at all (5 minutes tops to the security gate into Downtown Disney - go out the back door of the hotel and down the pedestrian only path) and coming from Chicagoland, it was wonderful to be out in the warm weather and sunshine. The security line was never more than a couple of minutes wait time, which was awesome and a huge advantage to staying on this side of the resort. We also enjoyed walking through Downtown Disney each time. Every day they were making a different caramel apple at Marceline's Confectionery, which was fun and interesting to watch for a few minutes. We were in the parks for 4 days and took an afternoon swim break each day. It was so convenient to walk back to the hotel and relax and I'm so glad I didn't pick a hotel on Harbor Boulevard (I had debated it for the savings...).

The pool was relatively small, but didn't seem overcrowded and we always found chairs. The water was too cold for me, but my kids enjoyed themselves. People seemed to be coming and going and not spending the whole day camped out at the pool.

My one complaint would be with the elevator situation. At certain points, we waited for a very long time to get an elevator.

Finally, we used the Disneyland Express to travel back to LAX. I really liked this bus service and it only stopped at the Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian before heading to the airport. We took an Uber Luxury to Anaheim and I much preferred the bus.

Overall, we had a fabulous vacation and I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room and the service we received at Paradise Pier! We booked thru Disney Travel which I highly recommend as we received extra perks for booking through them and the price was very comparable to the Grand Legacy which we've stayed at before and is across the street from Disneyland. Staying at Paradise Pier allowed us to gain access to both parks at 7am each day rather than only having one day of "Magic Morning". This was really beneficial at Christmas as the parks were very busy. The bedding and beds were really comfortable, the housekeeping was excellent and the front counter check-in was great as the lady changed our room to allow us a view of the World of Color from our room. The only strange thing is their elevators are extremely small but they do have 4 of them so we never waited long. We will definitely stay at Paradise Pier again. We tried a few Character breakfasts and the Storyteller Cafe was overpriced for the food and atmosphere. The Plaza was expensive but the atmosphere, characters and food were excellent. The best value for a great breakfast is the Carnation Cafe on Main Street (no characters but great food for a very reasonable price).

Definitely get a Max Pass as that is far superior to the Fast Pass and we only waited in 2 lines all 4 days of our visit and two of those days were at Max Capacity.

We had a group of 5 stay in a room which comes with 2 double beds and a sofa bed. It was surprisingly not too cramped and we loved all the mickeys throughout the room and despite the age of the hotel, we liked the decor more than Disneyland hotel which was a few minutes/blocks closer to downtown Disney and the parks. We stayed here for the early entry which was worth it for the time savings in Disneyland park and getting to the star wars ride as soon as star wars land opened but the room did cost about 3x any non-Disney hotel for the holiday season. That said, it was still cheaper than Disneyland hotel and the 5 person max occupancy was nice. We weren't huge fans of the character dining here as the breakfast food and service wasn't the best but our daughter loved meeting donald, daisy, minnie and others.

Only stayed here one night as we had a budget-friendly hotel elsewhere. The view from the room was great with full views of California Adventure park and the World of Color show.

Room is small and doesn't have the same fun perks as the Disneyland Hotel but it was comfortable for one night. Pretty tight for a family with two adults and three kids. Windows won't open at all which sucks.

The pool was nice and the kids loved swimming there and we liked the food and bar service. Good view of the fireworks from the pool deck.

Breakfast options for early risers trying to get to extra magic hour entry wasn't awesome but we found something for everyone at the restaurant in the lobby.

Good hotel and close location to Disneyland of course but not really enough of a Disney experience to justify the high price.

Major elevator traffic!!!

If you smoke or vape be prepared to walk off-site every time you want a puff.

Disney's Paradise Pier is nice hotel, although not particularly memorable. The rooms are good sized, including two queen beds plus a sofa that can become a day bed. The beds were comfortable. The decor is fine with some Disney whimsical touches, but not wonderful. We had no noise from the hallways and minimal noise from outside. The bathroom is dated, particular the shower. One morning we had lukewarm, not hot, water. The second day the housekeeping staff did not refill the shower gel despite the bottle being empty that morning and the fact that we left a tip in the room for housekeeping.

It's a quick walk to the entrance to Downtown Disney and the two theme parks from Paradise Pier. Disney's Grand Californian Hotel is just across the street.

We ate breakfast at the Surfside Lounge, which was fine. Again, not memorable.

Staying at a Disney hotel gives you early entrance privileges at the theme parks.

The staff are extremely friendly and kind - as you would expect at Disneyland. Much nicer staff, or "cast members", at Disneyland in California than at Disney World in Florida.

I stayed at the Disney Paradise Pier with my family in early March 2020. There were two adults and two toddlers. The overall experience was excellent. All staff members from the front desk, to the restaurant servers to custodians all displayed perfect customer service skills and were especially kind to my young children. Other companies and hotels would do well to study how Disneyland and its hotels treat customers. My children especially loved the character breakfast at the PCH Grill, this is worth doing once during your stay if it is your first time. The rooms were adorably decorated and the kids loved the Pixar "Luxo" ball throw pillows. My wife and I really liked the sea-scented body washes, shampoos and lotions provided in the rooms. The hotel is not too crowded and very clean. The pool is small but very nice and there is a huge water slide and hot tub nearby. I would highly recommend to any families with young children.

Although it's nice to stay so close to the parks for over $400 a night, I expect more. We booked a premium view room and, yes, the view was great. California Adventure was laid out before us. The room was ok but nothing very special. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel has no restaurants ("They're all being re-imagined" but no work was being done) and no bar. There's a gift shop and a self-service food market where you can buy snacks. Housekeeping was almost non-existent. They service the rooms only every other day and all they do is empty the trash can and put in new towels. They couldn't have spent even a full minute in our room. Sorry but I expect to have the bed made when I'm paying that much for a hotel room. Also, it used to be that when you stayed at a Disney hotel, you got free package delivery from the parks to your room when you purchased souvenirs. Not anymore. Disney is reducing as many services as possible while charging higher prices. Skimpflation.

My husband and I stayed at the Paradise Pier hotel for our anniversary weekend. We decided to spoil ourselves by staying at a Disney property for the first time. We were upgraded to a park view room, which we appreciated, and enjoyed the pool and being able to watch the fireworks with the soundtrack piped in directly to the pool deck. However, the complete lack of any food options in the hotel at present (July, 2021) and lack of any available dining options in Downtown Disney due to the impossibility of getting a reservation, meant that my husband and I had to do a considerable amount of walking in order to find food. The off-Disney food options are limited and not particularly awesome. So if you're planning on staying at the Paradise Pier during the summer of 2021, be sure to bring some food with you and keep it in the fridge that comes with the room. Until Disney re-opens the dining options in this hotel, I would steer clear and stay at either the Disneyland or Grand Californian. Or at any of the more moderately priced good neighbor hotels in the area.

Exactly the service you'd expect from a Disney property. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient. There was an issue with our reservation and they fixed it right away. She even offered us an extra fast pass for our trouble.
We had a room on the 15th floor with a premium view. The club level costs extra and so does the view. In there future I will still stay on the club level however I will not spring for the view. seeing the park is fun, however its also fairly loud. ( until about 11 or 12 at night)
Being on the club level allows you to take advantage of the guest lounge on the second floor snacks are out almost all the time. A nice light continental breakfast. (have a frosted donut, they are super yummy) cocktails available in the evening at happy hour, and I found at other times as well if you simply ask. My only complaint (which is very minor,) My kiddo was asleep and I was trying to bring a little fruit and juice to her upstairs I asked if they might have a bigger plate so I could have an easier time carrying the juice and the fruit while getting the door, and they were unable to help. Not a huge deal at all- it just would've Mae things a bit easier)
The room was spacious and very clean. Cute decor with. it isn't brand sparkling new, but thats was fine. The pillows weren't very soft, but typical hotel pillows. The turn down service was excellent and we did treat ourselves to room service one night which was really good- sharing quesadillas with beef and also an ice cream sundae.
Here's what was not so great. Be prepared to WALK A LOT. There is no shuttle to the park entrance. You must walk to the entrance of an out door Disney shopping mall then through that mall then to the park entrance. It's quite a hike. They do have a monorail that is some help, but that only goes to Disney land, and not California Adventure and it's still a significant walk to get there. Plus at the end of the day you're beat and the last thing you want to do is make your way through all those people two miles back to your hotel.
All in all a lovely property, with great service and wonderful views- I wish you could hire a shuttle service to the entrance, however it was a wonderful stay, the room is spacious, I'd recommend it.
