Service was excellent again when I stayed with 3 teens and myself for a basketball tournament in the area. 3 nights accommodation staying in room 404 and the room was well kept with everything working properly as well as being very clean. Housekeeping was on top of everything we needed while we stayed, and we couldn’t ask for more on the service that was provided. Full kitchen was used frequently and I would recommend this location.

I have been residing at the guildford sandman location with my company for 70 days now. What a great exp.this has been. The rooms are remarkable as they are fully serviced with kitchen,washer/dryer and king-size beds. The hospitality has been exceptional.Anu S the manager has the most courteous way of making my stay here feel like I am a very important person to the hotel, I have recommended to my co-workers that I will not stay I another hotel as long as I am in this area, I feel valued and respected that is expressed through very professional comuncation by Miss Anu

We we’re welcome to this sandman location by an amazingly friendly and kind staff member, Vanessa who made us feel at home after many days of challenging travel.
The team here is incredible.
Tommy the maintenance manager is a wizard to keep the place looking great. Super skills.
May and her team in housekeeping does excellent work to keep folks feeling comfortable and rooms clean. Todays duty manager Anu was so kind and helpful with us at our check out time.
Our family will absolutely return to this sandman, on our future travels!
We are grateful for the amenities in our room, it was spacious, clean, cozy, beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
Close to an awesome breakfast place happy jacks and groceries if needed.

Cracks in washroom tiles. Cracks in kitchen tiles. Cracks in ceilings. Cracks in baseboards. It's one heck of a cracked place.
Stained bath tub. Yes, don't forget the stains on bath tub. It seems as if some slumlords are running this property and want to extract as much cash as they can without a cent on maintenance and capital improvement.
If you want to experience living in low income housing while paying top dollar, try this property.
This is a rotten property with atrociously low standards for property management. Little to no maintenance has been done in one of their 'best suites.'
Everything is completely worn out. Air conditioning unit cools only the living area of the suite and the bedroom requires a fan.
The only saving grace was the front desk person who at least heard our concerns.
Stay away from here and go somewhere else.

I have visited this hotel a few times and boy, has it gone down hill. The last room I stayed in had a mattress tag saying 2008. 14 year old mattress is not good by any standard. Seems the longer you stay, the worse the maid service. Stayed 3 days, had maid service 3 times. Stayed 7 days, had maid service 4 times. Stay 16 nights in a row and had maid service 4 times. Today my garbage container is over flowing so I placed it in the hallway to see if the maid might notice. The carpets are original and I have never seen a carpet cleaner. Walk in white socks for 10 minutes and they look like you came out of a coal mine. Many construction works stay here and wear their work boots to and from. The staff must realize that vacuums only suck loose dirt, they do not remove ground in dirt and stains. He electrical system is primitive. You have to throw a rocker switch to use the stove while turning off the dryer. In order to use the dryer, you have to turn off the stove. The staff are friendly but many call in sick so management tell me so hence the lack of maid service I guess. Same bed linens for 16 days straight. The location works great for me but I am not a dirt lover so a change of hotel is in store for me. Not suggesting other stay here or avoid, your experience may be different than mine. Good Luck.

Aiza, Mary Rose, and Vanessa are wonderful employees of the Sandman hotel. Their vibrant attitude showed me they really care about their coustomers. Mary Rose recommend some great restaurants near by, which was very helpful for me. Vanessa had my room key and parking pass ready for me in seconds. This showed me that employees of the Sandman hotel do not procrastinate in meeting their customers needs. The house keepers always did a fantastic job cleaning my room and providing me with fresh towels.
Overall, I had an excellent stay. I would definitely come back!

Joel and Anu at reception were wonderful, friendly and very helpful! We got the king suite with pull out, sofa bed. Room is spacious and comfortable. Great for family with little kids. The room also has both washer and dryer. I didn’t bring any laundry detergent and need extra cutlery, Joel was very kind and brought it up to the room for us. The area is great with many wonderful tasty restaurant and a shopping mall. Will definitely stay here again.

It was my first time travelling alone and the room had everything I needed (though the appliances were a little outdated). The front desk kept on checking up on me to make sure I was well and had everything I needed. The housekeeping was prompt in providing me with supplies even before I ran short. We like to stay at suite hotels so I booked Sandman Suites Surrey Guildford despite never having heard of Sandman Suites. BIG MISTAKE. This was undoubtedly the worst hotel experience I have ever had!!I booked what was advertised as a penthouse suite (1308) because it was my wife's birthday. When we checked in at approximately 9 pm Joel, the person at the front desk mentioned the he would need to monitor our entry to the parking garage via the cctv to grant us access as the entry gate was "not working." That should have been our first clue. When we entered the "penthouse suite" we were stunned by the shabbiness of the furniture, the barrenness of the rooms, the outdated appointments, and the spartan amenities. The lighting was meager and poorly arranged and the one floor lamp did not work. The bathroom had one vanity and very little counter space; with the exception of the bedroom windows, all other windows were covered by cheap shades; there was a small square table in the living that had but one chair; there appeared to be a gas fireplace but not switch with which to turn it on; the carpeting was drab and in need of replacement. I could go on but at 11:30 pm I went down to the from desk and informed "Arnold" that our room was totally unacceptable and that we would be checking out in the morning and would not be paying for the two additional nights we had booked. Arnold apologized and agreed we would be charged for only one night.

We regret the day we ever stayed in this hotel, only because of the incompetent staff, and then the follow up incompetent staff.
We booked this hotel via expedia. I arrived at the hotel and gave them my credit card for the booking. In general holds are place on your credit card on arrival and if the room isn't damaged then they release the hold. There overnight guy put a $600 dollar hold (in total) on my credit card for two continuous stays.
I checked my credit card days after, and its still on hold. Days turn into weeks, weeks have now turned into months. I had to go in person, (I am not from BC) as I was in town and face off with a front desk person for them to release $400 for the stay. It was like they had to deep dive into there trash record system to release my credit card.
Now that I am home, i called them a total of 14 times and they keep running me around for something so basic. I am extremely angered writing this review because my time is extremely valuable, I shouldn't have to come online to raise hell and drive people away from your hotel just to get your attention to do something to basic.
If you are on top of your finances, and you pay your bills on time, these people will put a hold on your balance and then fall asleep. Don't stay at Sandman Surrey.

The sky train is quite close and yes there is also bus service. The Front desk people are very helpful...
Unfortunately we do not have a complimentary shuttle. We have a taxi stationed at the hotel which could get you there in around 8 minutes. There is also a public bus service very close to the hotel which will get you there in less than 15 minutes. Enjoy your stay in Surrey.
