It wasn’t perfect, it wasn’t an amazing hotel with all the amenities. I’d argue to say it wasn’t spotless clean. BUT I give it a 8/10 because I was actually quite floored from my expectation to what it was. I booked it because it was significantly the lowest price (lower through booking.com) and from the photos I expected something pretty low end. Just a place to sleep while we explored Collingwood. But it was actually good! Don’t want to oversell, but happy. Better than expected room. Great customer service. A constructive criticism would be to upgrade the bathroom fan as it was quite noisy, and add more lighting in the bathroom and entrance. But looking at the room itself, it’s really not that different from the chain hotels $100-$200 more a night

Stayed in Room 106 (SOUTHSIDE).... ...., the Room was quite spacious and exceptionally clean!! Also very quiet. The bathroom could have been equipped with more handicapped bars/rails attached to tub surround and walls..., to help those who have mobility issues. Limited channels on the T.V.

Great big room with two massive double beds.

No coffee / tea making facilities although in the morning they have a coffee making machine to make coffee which is provided.

Good location for local facilities. The town, restaurants, walking.

Got here today… room is decent for our needs tonight … called front desk to request 2 extra towels ( there’s only 2 in the room)
We’re 2 people and as you know women require 2 towels each (1 for hair)
I was told 4 times I didn’t need it.
Never in all my years traveling have I had front desk tell me what I do or do not need in order to shower! They will not give me a towel!! Stupidest thing on earth yet it just cost this hotel future bookings with myself, my company, and any one else I know.
Just speechless! It’s the little things that matter and common courtesy and simple requests that can’t be met do not work for me at all!!! Very disappointed…

This hotel is not the fanciest place in Collingwood but we didn’t need fancy. Our room was very clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was good and the staff are very friendly. The location was perfect as we could walk to the things we wanted to do in town. We will be staying here again. I certainly recommend the Luxury Inn for anyone wanting to stay in Collingwood.

I stayed at Luxury Inn for 1 night and was satisfied with the experience. The rooms were spacious, parking was abundant and the proximity to downtown Collingwood and Blue Mountain village was decent!

There's no frills here and the service, quality and overall experience is in line with what the rates are. Luxury Inn does the trick.

Clean. Spacious. Close to everything. A/C worked great especially we were there during 30+ degrees.

Only flaw was when asking for 4 more towels, they gave us a hard time. There was 4 of us and the inn was only half full. There should be lots of extra towels.

The new management operates by "jungle rules".
I booked rooms for entire ski season. The owner gave me the rate and took my credit cart information for deposit. Month later just before first trip I received phone call with the ultimatum regarding my new higher rate and I was inform that my reservation will be cancel if I do not agree to pay. I decided find another more civilized motel.

I think the title of my review summarizes my experience very well. I was working at the local hospital in Collingwood, and it was decided I had to stay over. Most of the hotels in town were full, so when I found this one available through Priceline.com I booked it immediately. That was at around 8:15 PM. Got my confirmation e-mail and everything.

Left work, had dinner and at around 11:00 PM I went to check in. I was then told that the hotel was sold out. I asked how could that be possible since I had a reservation, and the clerk told me that they had sold their last room at 9:00 PM. Which was 45 minutes AFTER I had booked mine. Priceline called them and they changed the story to say that they must have sold the room at the same time.

I was left with no hotel to stay at, and had to drive an hour East to Barrie to see if I could find one (luckily I did, at a way more serious place).

So, overall, it was a terrible experience. Even though I will continue to come to Collingwood for work in the future, I will never set foot there again.

Having looked at the place, I cannot understand why it has so many positive reviews. It definitely does not look inviting to me. The fact that the clerk came to his desk to talk to me barefoot didn't really help me improve my impression of the place.
