The water pressure in the shower can be improved, and the water from the shower shouldn't drip and get outside the bathtub, and make the floor all wet.
One of the beds is lumpy and squeaky, it is hard to turn without worry about waking up the other party.
The breakfast area is a disaster when the hotel is busy. Long line up to use the toaster. The hotel can consider opening for breakfast earlier when the place is full to better distribute the volume of people.
Parking can be an issue when it is full. The system to use another garage somewhere seems complicated. $15 per night charge for parking seems unnecessary.
The check-in and out are acceptable, and the room is clean.
WIFI works great, and the location of the hotel is almost perfect.

This was a perfect location for downtown Windsor. It is on the river giving easy access to the river walk and park. Walking to the bars and restaurants was very easy.
The room was clean, modern, and the rest of the hotel was also. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and secure.
The area around the hotel is nice for walking, bars, restaurants and felt safe.

The hotel is located mid-downtown Windsor allowing walk-to access to many local downtown businesses. The hotel has a clean fresh appearance. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a river view room with an excellent view of Detroit. I can find nothing bad to say about the property. There is free automobile parking also.

The Hotel itself is nice and clean. Parking is confusing, and mostly offsite.
The customer service was horrible. I used my debit card to make my payments, including the Refundable $200 down-payment, which they said would be returned to me the next morning when I leave, after the room is checked. I double checked this fact before I left that morning, and the teller said that it would be refunded to my card... it's been a month now, and I've gotten nothing back. And I've called twice to see what's happening - spoke to 5 people - all of whom were either too busy to talk to me or didn't see "notes from the other person I spoke to", so they can't send me the refund. The second person I spoke to said that they would send a cheque to me, because I live 4 hours away and can't come in to make the refund in person, but the check has not been sent (found out today). The reason I'm making this post is because, each person gave me an attitude of annoyance, as though it's my fault for not being able to come back to the location to get refunded.
I Travel a lot for work, and next time, I'll just pay the extra dollars and stay at the DoubleTree.

If you love staying up till all hours, the thumping of club music, drunk shouting and cussing in the middle of the night on the sidewalk, rivalled only by sirens, and loud traffic then this place is for YOU! I however, DO NOTTT. Our room was even on the 9th floor but still the noise was terrible! I cant begin to express how bad this hotel is….it’s 3am and Im so tired….front desk ‘staff’ was fully unsympathetic when I approached about it. They offered not to charge me for the 15$/day hotel parking in the totally inconvenient sketchy garage down the street. Hotel is not in the best part of town (wish i had known), and seemingly homeless junkies line the sidewalks. The noise of the air conditioning inside came a close second to being as annoying as the nightclub. I came to Windsor to watch my son play in a sports event but missed the morning trying to catch up on desperately needed sleep. What a waste of money. Im too tired i cant type any more about it…DO NOT STAY HERE.

This Holiday Inn Express features a unique layout with smaller rooms and lower ceilings, indicating a renovated hotel rather than an original build. Despite the size, our room was clean and well-maintained. The hotel offers excellent security, requiring a room key to access your floor via the elevator.
For dining, an amazing Thai restaurant, Basil Court, is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel.

Hotel was clean, well situated with great views of Detroit across the river, Riverside, the sunset.
Breakfast was not very tasty, but at least there was fresh fruit and variety across the 3 days.
I highly recommend asking for a room with riverview or trying to get out to experience the view.

Basic hotel. It's a place to sleep. The bed was decent, but the pillows were below average. My room was not cleaned very well. There were toenail clippings on the carpet & hair embedded in the towels. Continental breakfast was included the next morning... pretty basic, and at least it was something. Parking availability was very poor and not much direction on where to park. The check-in process was confusing & not properly trained staff made it worse. I was told we could use Visa debit to put a hold but then upon arrival could not and needed a major credit card for hold for the stay. $75 hold on the card, but charged full price of room including $75 deposit and $15 for parking and taxes. There are multiple other hotels nearby, next time I would probably look into staying there. I even got a discounted rate as I attended a wedding and had a group fee, but for 1 night still paid $220. It is what it is, an express stay right downtown.

If you have a passport this is a much more affordable hotel than others in Detroit. We stayed a night after watching a Wings game. Parking is limited, but they can get you a free pass for the ramp across the street if parking runs out. Did notice some pan handlers around the parking lot but overall it seems like a safe area. There is a small dog park next door. If you want a better city view during breakfast head up to the mezzanine area to get a great sunrise view of Detroit.

I have stayed at this hotel often. The rooms are very nice. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The view facing the Detroit River is really beautiful. The rooms facing the city can be a bit noisy during the weekend.
