This is a brilliant little hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. The room was bijou but they had thought of everything, we even had our own slippers! The bathroom was very modern with a small Belfast style sink and large shower with great pressure. The employees were really nice. My daughter got locked in the bathroom and the man on reception came straight up and got her out immediately. They even gave us an excellent recommendation of a restaurant just 200 metres away. We will definitely be going back!

Great boutique hotel in a great location. Rooms are small (that’s common in Paris) but the layout is efficient and comfortable. The rooms are very quiet and there is good curtaining to provide a dark room. The bedding is good. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel is close to Notre Damme, the Pantheon and Luxembourg Gardens. Restaurants and patisseries are also plentiful and close. The surrounding area was safe for walking at night.

Nice newly renovated and beautiful simply decorated rooms with a very good bed. The breakfast is excellent and the coffee too. There is a water machine in the lobby where you can fill up your water battle with icecold water, with or without gas. Very easy acces to Notre Dame, Marais and St. Germain de Pres. And close to Metro.

For a solo traveller the room was spacious (for Parisian standards), plenty of hooks and hangers for clothes, a little cupboard with a safe and shelving. The desk was very useful. Very clean. I was on the ground floor as this room was available early morning when I arrived which was brilliant so I could shower and freshen up. It had a window to a closed garden tiny square which was lovely for some fresh air in the morning. There is a water station with cold filleted and sparkling water which was my favourite feature. Nespresso machine and tea available at a station near reception. If you are arriving or departing by train from/to Gare de Lyon, the bus 63 is literally steps away for a 9 mins trip, ideal for me. Staff are very helpful and friendly and I would most definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

This beautiful boutique hotel was the perfect place to stay for my recent trip to Paris. Not only is it aesthetically stylish, the room (and bathroom) were a good size which isn’t always the case for Parisian hotels and the staff were so friendly and accommodating.
The hotel is well located for metro and buses so travel around the city is really easy. Notre Dame is about a 10 minute walk away and the neighbourhood is full of trendy bistros and bars so you can avoid the typical tourist traps and take advantage of the charming side-street places.
You can also get here on a train from the airport in around 40 minutes.
One consideration, if you are less mobile, would be the lift. It is small (you can just about fit 2 people in it) so if you require assistance or are a wheelchair user I would advise checking this with the hotel first as I’m not sure if they had any ground floor rooms. If you are fit and well enough to use the stairs then this won’t be an issue!
This hotel is definitely on my must-visit list for future trips to Paris!

Dear Matthew We are truly grateful for your time and thoughtful comments. We are delighted to learn that you like our hotel's amenities, staff, and cleanliness. As you stated, we are situated in a wonderful location that makes it easy for our guests to explore Paris. Since the elevator is too small to fit inside, we do have a room in ground floor designated just for wheelchair users. The entire staff was pleased to welcome you and will be even happier to do so again if you decide to make another trip to Paris. Best regards The Oratio Team

Location is the only thing we appreciated about this hotel and it’s been well documented by other reviewers. We stayed for NYE 2023 and it was such a bad experience I’ve been meaning to write this review ever since. Perhaps we just happened to get the worst room in the place, but it was $300 per night and it was the smallest room with the smallest ‘double’ bed we’ve ever had (including Tokyo). It would have been suitable for 1 person maximum to be in there, I kept double checking I haven’t accidentally booked a single room it was so tiny. You could not have the suitcase open and still walk around the bed, it was hard enough with it closed. The tiny room was on the top floor and was hot and stuffy, even though you have your own split system unit in your room we had no option to turn the air conditioning on- as it was winter it was set to heating only apparently (it took talking/following up with several staff members over several days just to have this confirmed). Due to the heat and the tiny uncomfortable bed we had 6 very bad nights sleep here. Speaking of the staff the customer service was very poor, you were lucky if you got acknowledged at all when you walked in particularly at night when the man at the desk was too busy watching soccer on his iPad to even look up. And they certainly didn’t seem concerned about our feedback that the room was stifling hot and we were getting no sleep, they’d tell you it would be looked into and then never talk to you again. Awful, would not recommend.

This was a great hotel in a great location in the Latin Quarter. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were small like many hotels in Europe but the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the bathroom was a decent size. The breakfast was more continental than American but there was an American diner a block away with great omelets at a reasonable price.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the metro and the islands. I really liked the décor which was very stylish and my room had a great balcony with a view of the street and the church opposite. The breakfast was fine, it was served in a beautiful room with pastries and cheeses, eggs, cold meats, fruit, yogurt and excellent coffee/tea. I would definitely come back and stay here again. Staff members were very helpful and pleasant especially at breakfast.

Great service, the room was perfect. The room had USB-ports as well as normal European outlets and was the perfect size for in Paris. Downstairs was a place to get free (cold and sparkling) water which was amazing. Everyone spoke english pretty well and they were very helpful. We did not eat breakfast here, but everything looked very delicious.

This was an exceptional hotel in Paris! A small hotel nestled in the heart of the Latin Quarter, surrounded by a great choice of restaurants, cafes, metro and 10 min walk to the Seine and Notre Dame! We had a superior balcony room on the 5th floor. For a European hotel the size was good and we managed to fit our suitcases and carry on bags with no issues. The bathroom was great as it had a shower with no bath which is exactly what we wanted! We hate stepping over the bath to access a shower.Th other amazing thing in the bathroom was because the shower was well enclosed there was no steamy mirror! The reception area was welcoming and downstairs was the breakfast room which was well stocked for breakfast. All the staff were amazing and so very helpful, nothing was too much! They found our lost luggage from Dubai they also found my husbands museum pass that he put in the bin! I will definitely be returning to Paris and will be staying here!
