Our stay at La Valise was truly special. We stayed for our Honeymoon and upon arrival were gifted a bottle of champagne and a thoughtful personalised note wishing us congratulations. The staff are incredible, in particular Elizabeth and Eric were so lovely and attentive, making us feel right at home. The bungalow we stayed in was absolutely beautiful, with so many intricate details included that gave it so much character. Each night, our room was prepared with candles lit and our bed fluffed up ready for the most comfortable sleep ever! The food on offer is also very delicious, with the hotel partnering up with Nu restaurant, which we also dined at and it was yum! We did not want to leave, it was pure heaven and we will definitely be back! Thank you La Valise, you are perfect!

La Valise Tulum is simply incredible! The customer service is perfect. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Our dream team was Elizabeth, Issac, JP, and Carlos. You are literally on the beach and can hear the ocean every night. There are beautiful views of the night sky. The rooms are simple yet comfortable. No TVs, phones, and minimal lighting in rooms- purposely so you can go out and enjoy the beach and Tulum. Location is centrally located, close to restaurants and shopping. Bikes are included with stay. The food at the resort is delicious- made it difficult to try other places. Beach beds and hammocks really make it feel like home. The only negative was at night you could hear music and noise from surrounding properties, but the ocean waves and comfortable beds allowed us to sleep like babies. Would definitely recommend overall!

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at La Valise and 4 nights at Encantada for our one year anniversary trip. The hotel is situated far enough away from the main restaurant / bar area to not hear the noise, but close enough that you can walk to all of the venues for dinner. The hotels are connected and we really got to know the friendly staff. We spoke a lot with Roxana, Isaac, and JP who were all great and gave good recommendations for food and entertainment. The wait staff was also very attentive and we really enjoyed drinking the Passionfruit Margaritas. Breakfast was also very good with french toast and the benedict being our favorite dishes. The resort was very clean, the beach was immaculate (no seaweed), and the vibes were very relaxing. At La Valise we stayed in the Jungle Room where the coolest feature was the outdoor shower. At Encantada we stayed in the Oceanview room and enjoyed sitting on our balcony looking out at the ocean. I would definitely book your stay at this hotel if you're coming to Tulum. Also, try their two restaurants - Itzik and Nu (both located across the street from the hotels - very convenient).

First of all, this place is just amazing and I 100% recommend! The ethereal atmosphere and aromatic scents provides such a tranquil experience for everyone. My husband and I stayed at the jungle room in La Valise for 4 nights, 5 days for our honeymoon and we were beyond satisfied with our stay. The hotel was so accommodating and sweet that they surprised us with champagne and a bed covered in roses to celebrate our honeymoon.
Within minutes of walking to the beach, this hotel provides privacy and peacefulness for guests to relax and wind down from a busy lifestyle. The hotel is far enough away from the party side of the beach, but walking distance to everywhere on Tulum Beach. The hotel service is outstanding and everyone is so kind and understanding. They definitely go above and beyond to make sure you are happy and satisfied with your experience. The maids are such amazing people that they clean your room for you in the morning and at night by providing clean/fresh towels, fresh purified water and they also lit up candles in your room to make the ambiance breathtaking.
I've traveled to a lot of countries and stayed at so many hotels that say they provide excellent service, but La Valise is definitely the winner of all the hotels I've stayed at ini my lifetime. The comfort, love, and care that the hotel delivers is indescribable. We will definitely come back here again soon.
P.S. The hotel does so well to make sure everything is sanitized and clean due to COVID. The workers and maids also wear masks so there's no need to be cautious when staying at La Valise.

We just got back from a week at La Valise. The staff is so incredibly friendly! They always greet you by name, check in to see how you’re doing and are more than happy to help with anything. The property is GORGEOUS. We loved how we’d come back from the beach to a tidied room, lit candles, fresh towels, etc. It will be hard to want to stay anywhere else next time we’re in Tulum!

The Hotel is Great, it has only 9 rooms which makes the hotel very relaxed. We had a room facing the ocean which was great, to wake up in the morning and see the waves and the beach. We always took the bike to the restaurants which are for free (not in the others hotels). Only thing which could be a little better is the waiting time for food and drinks on the beach.
Overall i would visit the hotel again for sure! 9 from 10 points

Excellent boutique hotel with an elegant yet minimalist, European centric approach to service and detail. We were fortunate enough to have rented the entire property for a family gathering and we were treated royally by the very warm and attentive international staff.
The property prides itself on minimalizing it’s carbon footprint: locally sourced foods, organic/bio as possible and no single use plastics. Even the straws are made of metal!
The hotel benefits from an adjacently owned hotel and hi end nouveau Mexican restaurant which help accommodate and expedite the extra needs and details upon request.
The staff takes care to memorize and address you by name here. It’s not a gimmick because you are not just another numerical statistic on the guest registrar. They work hard to proactively learn and anticipate your needs without being overbearing about it. You can tell the staff shares information with each other to constantly improve on the personalization of their service during the course of the stay.
My one complaint would be to improve the upkeep of the bicycles. Keep air in the tires and put someone there who smiles a bit more. However, I would also discourage anyone from riding bikes on the road during busy periods. There is virtually no sidewalk and you can nearly get around faster by foot on the beach.

My wife and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon during July (which is one of the slower months in Tulum in terms of the number of people visiting there).
We stayed in the Upper Jungle Suite. We loved the room (it was very spacious, offered plenty of privacy and has an awesome vibe (decorations, adjustable lighting, etc.). We also really loved the outdoor shower that the Jungle Suite offers. Overall the hotel is amazing! It is right on the beach (has private beach access and has nice daybeds) and it is a really cool property. This hotel has 11 rooms, but there were many times during our stay where we felt like the only guests at the hotel.
The staff was also incredible and really added to the already great experience. They are very friendly and attentive and we were essentially on a first name basis with most of the staff by the end of the first day of our stay. The service was tremendous and they were willing to assist with any question or request (big or small). Each night that we went to dinner, we came back to a little surprise from the staff (e.g., desserts, mezcal shots, etc.) which was a nice little touch. Also I told them it was my wife's birthday during the trip and they surprised us by decorating the room and giving us a free birthday cheesecake dish.
The hotel offers free breakfast everyday and honestly every meal that we had for breakfast was incredible. Included they provide coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt and a full entrée. One day we had breakfast delivered to our rooms, but every other day we enjoyed sitting in the lounge area so that we could eat and overlook the beach.
This hotel is also walking distance from a ton of restaurants and shops so we only ever took a cab one time during our stay. They also have bikes on the property that you can use for free (so we took advantage of those as well). If you do want to take a cab, ask the front desk and they will help secure a cab for you and will pre-negotiate the price with the driver before the ride (which I highly recommend).
Finally, this hotel has a pool which was great and we used it most of the days during our stay. But this hotel also has sister hotels right next door (also on the beach with shaded beds if you want) and across the street (which is in the jungle and has an awesome big pool that you can use as well).
Overall we couldn't have been happier with our stay and we can't way to come back in the future! It is definitely not the cheapest option in Tulum if you are budget conscious, but our stay was amazing and well worth the money!

Cristopher greeted us with a smile, warm welcome, and cocktails. Luggage was promptly provided by the bell service. The room was absolutely stunning with rose petals on the bed and Happy Birthday sign for my mother. Large filtered water dispenser was a nice added touch & the room had a beautiful floral scent. Towels provided with a woven beach bag was great. The outdoor shower was beautiful for showering and star gazing as was the private outdoor pool for late night dips. Hotel staff were just wonderfully friendly and housekeeping did a fantastic job. The breakfasts were delicious, complete with lots of fresh fruits and juices and what better way to enjoy than to overlook the spectacular coast! Cocktails were more reasonable than on the strip & really enjoyed the beachside cabana service while reading a novel. I literally have not one negative comment & I cannot say enough about this excellent hotel ~ it was truly a 5 star experience!!!

La Valise Tulum was perfect in every way. We loved our upper floor room with views of the ocean. The breakfast was fantastic every morning and our server Carlos was wonderful. The staff at this hotel is top notch. They really go above and beyond to make your stay incredible. We have to give a special shout out to JP, one of the concierges who arranged for us to have a special surprise during our stay. It was very hot, but the pools were the perfect cooling temperature and the mango margaritas were the perfect compliment. We already had made our dinner reservations prior to arrival but the staff always offered to make arrangements for us if we needed them. One morning we took a trip to Chichen Itza and JP made sure to have breakfast and towels waiting for us at reception even though our pick up time was very early in the morning. It was this kind of five star treatment that set this hotel apart. We have traveled to many wonderful locations and this was one of the best of all. Thank you so much to everyone at La Valise Tulum for making our first holiday in two years a dream come true!
