The b Ginza was a great hotel to base ourselves in whilst in Tokyo. Close to a number of train stations and walking distance to great shopping and eating options. It was also good to be out of the fast pace of Shibuya (though a quick train to get amongst it). We had two rooms next to each other for four people. Small rooms but had everything we needed. Perks of this hotel include free amenities, free decent coffee and free drinks (beers and juices) with vouchers provided on check in. They also have a laundry on site to do your own washing if needed - handy when travelling with kids. We didn’t try the on site breakfast as were up and out each day but it looked popular.

Must book the city view room!!! It’s the corner rooms and I believe they are the largest rooms they offer. It’s still small but larger than the other rooms square ft. The room is new, modern and very clean. I can easily open both my large Away luggage and Away carry on in that room (we had an entrance hallway) Love the shower (water pressure) amazing and bathroom was a decent size. Bed was comfy and we slept like babies. Love the free amenities that the hotel offers, especially the pj set and room slippers, they also had brushes, razors, toothbrush, toothpaste, washcloth etc. Also in the common area there’s a fridge where you can grab a beer or other drinks with your drink vouchers. We tried all 4 of the beers they had and it was pretty good.
Location is great, 5 min walk to the Ginza station and Family Mart is around the corner.
I am trying to plan another trip back to Japan soon and will definitely be staying here again.

This hotel was all we could ask for in Tokyo. It was comfortable, clean and convenient, the staff were helpful, the room was fine, and it was made better by the small services offered in the reception area, like sofas, tea and coffee.

Our room was Tokyo-size, but it was well designed and didn't feel cramped.

Once we got the hang of finding our way to and from the different nearby subway stations it proved to be a great location. Ginza itself was bigger and more varied than we expected, especially once we started exploring the streets along its sides. It was also an easy walk to the palace, another huge park and Tokyo's fish market.

As some reviewers have commented:
1. what you are paying for is the great location near all the shops/shopping centres/restaurants/cafes/sights and Shimbashi Station.
2. the free drinks and pancakes.
3. the cleanliness and how new the amenities are in the b.

However, some things commenters also noted are:
1. the small size of the rooms even by Tokyo standards.

My own comments are as follows:
1. check in and check out are very convenient and can be done by yourself via the check in and check out computer screens at the reception desk.
2. very helpful and courteous frontdesk (when i requested for an iron and ironing board)
3. pretty much a DIY hotel where services are at a minimum so one must manage expectations.

For a 3 star hotel i must say that the b does meet that rating sufficiently. However, there is one thing i would like to mention:
1. for some reason the beds are made up only every other day (we stayed 7 nights but only for 2 nights the beds were made up - although fresh bath towels were delivered and one time the used towels were still in the bathroom)

Honestly can't say I would stay at the b again because there are a number of other hotels in the area i would like to try next time.

We stayed at Ginza for valentine holiday and honestly it’s the best option for a family vacation if you visit tokyo . Ginza station just 5 minutes walk, lots of places to eat and you just 5 minutes away from high street and all designer shopping center. Aquarium where you can bring the kids even found a waffle bakery 2 minutes from hotel and a dominos 15 minutes walk. Best ever experience room are clean and you have free pancakes from 6-9 if you don’t want to buy breakfast. Staff speak English so you can ask info around. We booked 6 months before so we could get 10 days stay including flights for 3.4 k on love holidays . There’s a lot to see and visit.

The smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in and yet it was fine! They managed to squeeze so much into this tiny room - 2 comfortable beds (the feet reached the window), a fridge, coffee pot, safe and lovely bathroom/shower (ammenities like PJs, slippers, hair brushes, toothbrushes and more all free near the lobby). The welcome beer were great.
So, if you want to be in the Ginza area, this might be just what you're looking for. We liked it a lot.

We found the b very hard to find. I recommend to aim for the neighbouring Mitsui Hotel, which is marked on several mapboards around Shimbashi Station. The Hotel b Ginza is just behind the Mitsui Hotel and has access on either side. Some of the staff at the reception speak English well, others struggle slightly. When we inquired about the breakfast buffet we were told, this has to be booked in advance, which we didn’t. However, there’s a coffee machine in the lobby where we could get coffee and tea all day and in the morning hours there’s a pancake machine, which we could use for free, too. Across the street we found a little supermarket, which is open from 5am to midnight. If all fails, there’re are number of breakfast options around Shimbashi Station. During our stay there were a number of tour groups staying at the hotel, which caused considerable congestion and noise in the common areas and the two tiny elevators were rather busy to transport all the people up and down at times. The rooms were very comfortable, in particular the showers with all sorts of massage options. Despite the highway close by the area around the hotel was surprisingly quiet and with the open window at night my sleep wasn’t disturbed.

this is a nice hotel, BUT NOT FOR EVERYONE, before you book this hotel you need to know half of what you're paying is for the location, I was a bit shock on the size of the room, it's smaller than what I used to even in Tokyo's standard, but hey this is Ginza so I was ok with it because shopping was the main part of my trip. and the hotel makes it up to you by offering you one free beer for every night so hey no complains here. There isnt a bath but instead the shower is probably one of the best I've seen in the hotel in this price range so that's a plus, the staff are nice and the room are clean. But the only negative I really dislike was the elevator wait, it could take awhile for the elevator to arrive.

We loved our stay at The b Ginza during our recent honeymoon trip to Japan. The staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly, the rooms were lovely, super comfy beds, and the on-demand amenities were a nice touch! The location is really good too as you are very close to several train lines and within walking distance of some great shopping strips. We will visit again!

Great, centrally located hotel. The B was very clean and comfortable. It is an 8 minute walk to the Shimbasi Station. You can be in Shibuya in 20 minutes. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet every day and will also provide you with drink vouchers. The held or extra luggage while we travelled to other parts of Japan. Also, the B has rooms with Queen sized beds. The staff was wonderful and accommodating.

Hi, yes there is a direct train from narita to Shimbashi station. Take the ginza exit out of shimbashi station to the B hotel Ginza. It only goes once or twice an hour. It is the keisei train (not JR) and takes 70 minutes and was 1360 yen per person. Go to the booth at the train station at the airport and speak to a lady there and they tell you which is the best train.
